Wim Hof and Cesar Millan discuss how dogs teach us about leadership. They argue humans are the only species that follow unstable leaders, while animals respond to calm, confident energy. Their formula: trust through calmness, respect through confidence, love through joy.
Chapters
We're the only species that follow unstable leaders. In the animal world, none of the leaders that rule the world will ever be able to lead the— there's no way. Not with ants, not with bees, not with elephants, not with whales, not with no one. Only humans follow instability.
He holds 26 world records for achievements that for most people seem impossible and dangerous.
The cold is my teacher. To me, it's like God.
He may well be one of the most unique humans currently alive.
Wim Hof is changing scientists' understanding of how the body works. I created a method. The components are breathing, mindset, and cold.
Wim Hof, the Iceman.
Hi guys, I'm Wim, Wim Hof, and every time I go into the unknown, through my podcasts, exploring, exploring life into the depth, breaking the ice to go where nobody has gone before.
You're listening to the Wim Hof Podcast, a Monk Studios original.
And on my side, my son Enam. He's here to keep me on track, which he's not able to do, by the way, but He will try it, and together we got a great chemistry. And we got Anne, our producer. She makes things really work.
Today's guest, widely known as the Dog Whisperer, has the world by its tail. He's helped tons of people work through behavior problems with their dogs. He founded the Dog Psychology Center, and his television series is broadcasted in more than 100 countries worldwide. Caesar Milan joins Wim and his brown shadow dog Sina.
So Caesar Milan is going to be on—
Yeah, he is one of— he is absolutely one of my top heroes. I mean, heroes, icons, and the way he always got to these animals, the dogs. Who absolutely did not listen to the person, and then as a person he was able, with his psyche, he was able to change them. And I found that profoundly miraculous.
He actually didn't change the animal, he changed the person.
Yeah, yeah, he changed the person, but it is because of his controlled calmness, his controlled mammal insight, that is control of the mind, and the dog senses that, that the dog naturally then wants to listen.
So I asked him—
Amazing, eh?
I asked him through Instagram, through your account, which I sometimes answer questions, etc. But, um, so I asked him to come only because I actually wanted him to give you some tips about Zidane.
Yeah, whatever the tips, I'm incurable. But yes, Caesar is one of my heroes, and he is able to change the minds of people because we lost the control in our mind with overthinking instead of feeling. And a dog feels that, and he's got that angle. I go from a different angle. We get to the same point. No, we just want to bring love and understanding, respect, loyalty, trust, confidence. And these are the values we are preaching. And they are there. And we do it through the cold and the breathing.
Cold as the mirror.
And bringing the faith back again.
The pet as the mirror. The animal as the mirror.
You know, many roads lead to Rome, but it's Rome.
A couple of nice ones, couple of them go through the highway, but this one went through all the picturesque villages.
Hey, look, there is a butterfly there. It wants to get out.
Okay, I'll get him out.
Yeah, otherwise— yeah, you get him out.
I'm going to get him out.
You get him out. I'm gonna love this conversation, this being, this meeting with Cesar, the real Cesar Milan.
How are you?
Hey, beautiful man. Man, I'm following you already for decades.
Me too. Well, not for decades, but my kids told me about you. And then I started looking at you. And then I said, this guy is unique, is special, is one of a kind. That's how I feel about myself. So to speaking with you, it's a big deal.
That's how we feel about you.
So my dad just said he's following you for decades. Well, we follow each other, you know, because we know you longer than you know us, Cesar.
Yeah, I love, I love your show. Yeah, I love the way you get into people's minds and how you startle everybody through their dogs, their beloveds, and they have no control over this mammalian nature within themselves, and you teach them about them. By the way, me and my dog, I'm not the alpha male.
You told me that the first time.
She always is dominating me.
You told me that.
She knows she is very charming and I let her— look, here she is. And, and don't tell nobody, she's 3 times better in the mountains than I am. I'm the Iceman. 3 times, triple.
Hey, have you seen Avatar?
Yes.
Well, you are a waterbender and I'm an earthbender.
Okay. A waterbender and earthbender. You know what, Caesar?
Yes.
Within 2 years, I'm gonna reach out to billions of people because we will get through their heart into their autonomy, sense of autonomy. The autonomy is the— we are spirits, all unique. We should not be like sheep or like humans. It's more ugly than sheep. That's what humans do. No, they should get into caring and love. So I go through science and then I get into sense. So I'm an earthbender myself. Oh, I am going to change Because of the uniqueness, I'm going to change the world.
Yes.
You know, and through what? Faith.
Yes.
Belief. Took me 45 years.
Yes.
But it's coming.
Yes, yes. Same, same here. I'm gonna change the world. I am changing the world. Uh, it's a new show coming out July 30th, and, uh, and my kids are now part of the show, and my land is also part of the show. So it's 3 things that people need to utilize to change their world. Their land, the way they relate with their family, and their activities. So those 3 things are going to make sure, because that way even people who are poor economically, I come from a poor background. So we use the land, we use the family, and we use the activities to create calm, confident, love, joy. So for me, it's all about the energy, right? So if you change your energy, you change the outcome with a dog, because a dog doesn't follow unstable leaders. So a dog only follows stable energy. So it's your responsibility as a human to connect, communicate, so you can have a relationship of trust, respect, and love. Trust, respect, and love. Most dog lovers only want to do love, love, love, but then they miss trust, respect. Not because you love someone, you respect them. Not because you love someone, you trust them. So love is its own separate entity. So it's trust, you achieve it with calmness. Respect, you achieve it with confidence. And love, you achieve it with joy. So it's that simple. It's a formula, rituals, and symbols. And the reason why I love you so much is because you do have the same. You have a formula, rituals, and symbols. And to you, it's about connection with Mother Nature. It's about living in the moment, pursuit of happiness, honesty, integrity, loyalty, unconditional love, being instinctual about it. Of course, we have to teach people intellectually why we can do what we do. I'm from Mexico, so English is not my first language. So I have to learn. Oh my God. Oh my God.
No, it's what we want now.
In English.
In English.
In English.
Guys, for everybody who doesn't speak Spanish, we really have to translate this, I think.
Oh, we got to interrupt. The coach is saying, no, it's got to be in English. Next time, Caesar. By the way, I like your name. You're the best Roman-speaking man called Caesar.
Caesar.
Yes, we are the new emperors. Yes, I tell you. And we bring love.
Yeah.
Knowledge, love, trust, and respect.
As you said, trust, respect, love. Trust, respect, love. The reason why trust is first is because it's achieved with calmness. Right? So you behave calm and you achieve trust. You behave confident, you achieve respect. And then once you achieve that, then you give love. My clients are dog lovers. My clients are dog lovers. But what they don't have is trust, respect. So if a dog doesn't trust or respect you, they're not going to listen to you. They don't. They just can't. They need to follow someone who they feel protective. And who can give direction. Direction, protection, love. So the pack leader gives direction, protection, love. So when you just want to play the love role, even though an influence to make difference in the world, you still have to play calm confidence in order for you to shift or change your universe, your relationships, or your present. It's the calm confidence. That allows you to change things around.
Amen. You know, that is a great philosophy. Great speech too. It really goes deep. And that's why I think I reach so many people.
Yeah.
Like 100 million people now. But it needs to be billions.
Yeah.
It's going to be within 2 years. I'm calm about it. Very calm and very confident that I'll do it. And then the love, it was always there, but the calmness, the confidence, and going through science where there is no speculation whatsoever, that makes it able to go and enter deeply into the minds of the people who are actually full of confusion and desperate, waiting for somebody or something that is able to guarantee happiness strength and health.
Yeah. So I call that—
that's what we do.
My dad is always talking about reaching billions, but how did he reach you?
Ah, through his heart.
How did he reach you?
Through the heart.
Through the heart.
We are connected. Listen, I call— what you just— yes, what you just said, I call that natural, simple, profound. Natural is your instincts. Simple is your heart. Profound is your spirit. My clients are Harvard graduates, but they can't walk a chihuahua. See it? So your scientific side doesn't have much power in the animal world. So your intellectual, your being money, fame, and power has no power in the animal world.
Exactly. It's the same thing with your own health.
What has power in the animal world is natural, simple, profound. Yourself when you were a child. Yes. See it? So because this is your superpower that all children are born with. So with my foundation, we're focusing on the next generation human to make sure they hold their natural, simple, profound. Because what you and I do is rehabilitate All they're humans who lost natural, simple, profound.
Ah, yeah, see.
That's why I say I train humans, rehabilitate dogs. I don't train dogs. I train humans so they can connect to themselves, communicate to themselves, and they can have a relationship with themselves of trust, respect, and love. You must trust yourself. You must respect yourself. You must love yourself in order for you to actually lead with full trust, full respect, full love, right? We're the only species that follow unstable leaders. We're the only species that follow unstable leaders. In the animal world, none of the leaders that rule the world will ever be able to lead the— there's no way. Not with ants, not with bees, not with elephants, not with whales, not with no one. Only humans follow instability.
Amazing. Yeah, yeah, I love that. And I think it is time to bring true science, common sense back on again, because el paisano, who was working on the land, loving the family, respecting the land, respecting the family, and respecting the earth, that needs to come back. We have killed that. We exploit the world. We have no respect for the world. We abuse lose it and we go for more gain, gain, gain into the mind. And where is the heart? Where is the health, happiness, and strength? It's gone. Yeah, it's something. Oh yeah, yeah, if you got something, then you go to the hospital, you go to psychiatric, psychiatrist, things like that. But if the spirit is not for sale, no, look, you need to gain it.
So we're spirit.
There it is.
We're connected to the universe law. Then we come to Earth. Then we connect to Mother Nature law. And then— Yes. And then this guy right here takes control of everything. Man law. So we're spirit instincts. And then we get confused here.
Yes.
So, yes, confusion leads you to unhappiness. Unhappiness leads you to chaos. So the world is confused, unhappy, and chaotic. This is why dogs misbehave, because they live in an environment where the human, even though the human has money, fame, and power, is still confused, is still unhappy, and creates chaos. If your energy is not in place, you're going to automatically feel unhappy, confused, and chaotic.
Automatically.
I love it, I love it!
Automatically.
And you know what? This is the way I, yesterday and before yesterday, I had an international group of people and I tell them, we are able. Ooh, I love it, I love it, I love it. This, you know, in the time of the Roman emperors, they called the, the corona radiata, which is the radiating crown, radiating crown. That became the symbol of the crown, you know, of all the kings and the queens and the presidents and all that. There was— it was called corona radiata. That's the Latin. It's also Spanish, of course, but it is Latin in this case. And now it seems to be a nerve inside which is controlled by, possibly controlled by our will connecting with the deepest of our brain and actually anything in our brain. It's called, it's the white mass inside the brain connected to the gray mass, but most is the white mass and it goes everywhere like a crown. But in science, it was known to be not possible up, down, regulate it. And now I showed in brain scans how to robustly activate the white mass, the corona radiata, by will. And then they took water, like stress coming upon me, cold water upon my skin, and just by the power of my will, I could make my skin temperature not going down. Down. That's the mammal. I control the mammal, the mammalian reflex inside through the corona radiate. What I teach people, act like a queen, act like a king, learn to at will radiate love and care instead of being— a happy man doesn't go to war. A happy man is not into possession. A happy man is into sharing and, and, and, and, yeah, being happy with everybody, unconditionally being there. We lost it. But if you give a man a choice and the right tools, he will not choose for 10 cars, but he will choose the happiness.
Yes, look, so what you call king, what you call king I start with calm surrender. You must master calm surrender. Then you enter into a happy-go-lucky mode. Then you can go into a calm confident. This is your leadership. This is your leadership. This is your pursuit of happiness. And this is where you learn, listen, and heal. So this calm surrender state, this one is your most powerful state of mind. This is when you want to give direction, protection, right here. This is when you just want to have fun with life. So in the animal world, they only practice 3 states of mind, calm surrender, happy-go-lucky, calm confident. That's it. So humans like to give positions to this, such as CEO, king, and all of that stuff. But in the animal world, things are very simple. Things are very natural. Things are very profound. They don't work against Mother Nature. So I grew up with my grandfather. My grandfather died when he was 105. So my grandfather went to actually the revolution in Mexico. So these people have to live with faith, instincts, and love. Okay? So this knowledge was given to me by my grandfather. He said, "Never work against Mother Nature. Always gain their trust. Always gain their respect and they're going to give you a beautiful gift called loyalty." So I grew up with this message, right? This message of natural, simple, profound. I grew up with this message of honesty, integrity, loyalty, pursuit of happiness, live in the moment, unconditional love, use your instincts to survive. And then the intellect, the whole scientific thing, we don't have access to that because there is no school. Our problem is education, health, and food. Yes.
Right.
Coming from a third world country. But our wealth is our spirituality at level 10. I became who I became because my faith. I became who I became because the love I have for my family. I became who I became because I'm a hard worker. Right. I didn't have the intellect. I have faith. I have instincts. And I have love. That is your superpower. That is what you come with, even if you come from poverty We're all born with it. What we don't have access is the intellectual access.
Exactly.
You were blessed. Yes. Well, I think because of it.
Yeah. Blessed. And he knows it from his, the abuela, the abuelo, the good values of the land and all.
Yeah.
He still knows this. We got alienated in society too much of this. Yeah. So How to bring that back is— that's my message. Yeah, like yours. It goes like this. Your and my message, same thing. And it's good to reinstall those values. Go ahead.
So before your flesh, your spirit. Then you become instincts. That's your flesh. Then love. The last thing you are is intellect. So spirit, Instinct, love, intellect. So most people focus on the intellect and they get disconnected from here. Right? So then you, myself, we say, no, no, no, don't forget your spirit power. Don't forget your animal power. Don't forget your love power. That's internal. This is external. This is external.
Oh, yes. And you know what, Cesar? I show that through the internal neurological networks called proprioception and interoception. I show that internally in brain scans, blood proof and all that. So there is no room for speculation anymore. We have learned too much schooling on the external senses, only what we can see, what we can hear, speech. And that is the way we control the world. But there is an internal neural neurology going on, which is then deflated. It becomes weak. You don't see it anymore. You don't feel the confidence to go within anymore. You're not into your intuition or your instinct. You don't listen anymore. And that now is able to show the proprioception, that is a neurological network, or the sixth is the seventh sense, is now the immune system, the control over the immune system. And the place, where are you in the world, in the universe? Who are you? Why are you here? That sense is an internal sense, absolutely physical. And we show this in science. And then the seventh is the interoception. And this was considered to be impossible. That is psychology, over physiology. It was impossible considered in science. And I've shown now in science, in brain scans, top robust activation and that of the deepest part of the brain, which was considered to be inaccessible. And now top-down regulation is there. And this is what they say: a transformational technique that will change mental health care. Those are the psychiatrists. And they say this: now we have found the compelling evidence of the key components of the autonomous processes in the brain related to mood regulation, emotion. And it's there.
So immune system. So that, that kind of conversation is only humans and only the intellectual humans. I don't need all those words. I just need to see you, feel you, and follow you. That's it. I don't really care about the whole explanation. I already believe you.
Beautiful.
You see it? So I already trust you. You know, I already love you. I already love you. So as an animal, I don't care about the scientific reasons of why you want to intellectually tell me. I already believe you. I already love you. I already trust you. So I'm just going to blindly follow you. You are my pack leader already.
Gotta watch out with that.
You see it? So here, so in the animal world, you just have to make sure you have a great spirit, great health, great love by making sure you have calm, comfort, love, and joy energy. That's it. All the whole scientific words and things like that, they can care less about it. They can care less. Only humans pay attention to a lot of words. Animals pay attention to the energy, the action, and the repetitions. That's life. And because of that, they're going to have great immune system. They're going to have great life. And they're going to teach the same thing to the next generations, right? It's about living in the moment, pursuit of happiness, having the highest level of integrity, honesty, and loyalty, and unconditionally love the family, and enjoying life together. They can care less about books. They can care less about books, right? So human being— have to at one point detach himself from thinking too much.
Yes.
Right? And just feeling it. I make people walk dogs without seeing. I want them to experience what the blind humans experience. Walk a dog like a blind human. Feel it. Achieve trust at 100%. Create bond with your friend. See it? So learn to feel, not to think. Feel.
If you turn the dog the other way around, you get God.
Yes, I read it already.
Yes, and it is as close— yes, and it is as close as that.
Well, this is universe.
It's not far away. It's here and now.
This is universe. This is Earth. Universe, Earth. You know, universe law, Mother Nature law. And then in the middle is the human.
Yes.
See it? So the human creates his own law, right? And then this law is mainly to control other humans. It's not to help them. Otherwise we wouldn't be here. We wouldn't be with wars. We wouldn't be with a planet, you know, that is so polluted. We wouldn't be there. Animals don't pollute planets. Animals don't go to war. Animals don't create hunger. Animals don't create so many different status. Animals don't do that. Animals don't believe in that. Only human uses power to keep others not— for not ever achieving happiness, for not ever achieving love, for not ever achieving health. That is really mean. That is really bad energy. So the energy of the world is negative here and positive here. It's out of balance. That's why I love you so much, because you bring the positivity up so we can fight negativity.
Yes.
You see it?
We do.
So you give us the power to believe in ourselves, the power to love ourselves, the power to stay healthy, just because the freaking eyes.
Yes.
It's because you tell us take a shower on a cold. Listen, I'm Latino. We're against cold as a race.
It's in your blood.
It's like, this is against our Latino blood. We like heat. We like music. You know what I mean? You love music, but we love the heat. But when you say cold to find ourselves, that's like, okay.
That is beautiful.
That requires strength. This man is going to make me stronger just because the way he's making me look, ice cold. I want to make you stronger. I want to make the whole world stronger, calm, confident, loving joy, the way you look at a dog. A dog is a teacher, not a student. I don't teach dogs. I teach humans. And you don't have to have a dog to learn from me. There's 3 energies in the world. People are afraid of dogs, don't like dogs, and dog lovers. That's it. There is nothing else. You either love a dog, fear a dog, hate a dog. But guess what? Also, people do the same thing to other people. Mexican people. Some people love Mexicans, afraid of Mexicans, hate Mexicans. You know?
It's insane that it works like that.
Yeah. So the dog— I love the quote of Gandhi. The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be measured by the way animals are treated. So this guy is saying the way we look at animals, we look at ourselves. Wow.
It's like the mirror. Like my dad says, the cold is your mirror. You know, it shows you something about you. It's not the cold that, oh, we're going to endure it. The cold is the mirror. Yeah. Shows you where you are, what you are at that moment. How do you deal with the cold?
Mother Nature.
It's the same way. Feeling is understanding. He always says like feeling is understanding. But a lot of times with the people nowadays, intellect prevents you from feeling, prevents you from your being, right? So to get to those intellectuals or to the intellect of people, you need to show numbers.
That's right.
You need to be able to convey them in their thinking patterns to get through it. And then for them to be able to let loose and to start to feel and to start to connect with themselves, right? With their emotional well-being, with their emotional person, instead of the thinking all the time.
So human have to hear it or see it, right?
Yes.
So when I do a show and you see the dog transforming right in front of your eyes, you just saw that that dog changed with me. Right? So the numbers, you're looking at numbers. Okay, I have to see to believe it. It's like, oh my God, you're so far outside.
But once you get them, you have them.
Yeah, but somebody did that purposely. They took humans outside themselves so they can sell products.
Yeah.
So he was saying about the sheep, right? Don't be a sheep. I mean, I love sheep, but at the same time, the more humans become followers, the less you believe in yourself.
Yeah.
You see it?
Yeah. Humans are there to be unique, not like sheep. Sheep are beautiful as being sheep.
Yeah.
But humans are beautiful if they are real humans. Yeah. Really unique. And that is not the case now.
For a human to actually know how unique he is, They need to know themselves, value themselves, and love themselves. And so if you, if you think about it, all the things that is being sold to them is knowledge, self-love, self-value. So how do you value yourself? Why, if you go to school and you make this much money and then you're going to have this worth.
Exactly. Exactly. That's the way we— yeah, to pinpoint it, I want to get into the schooling system, the primary school where Children have to learn about happiness, strength, and health. Yep. Because those are the most important subjects ever. When you get the sack later in life, you are still happy, strong, and healthy. So we bet on the wrong horses, on the wrong powers, the wrong energies inside, and we follow it blindly like a carrot in front of the donkey, and it just keeps on going. That's our mind. And we are never still therefore. So yeah, I love your way and I love your convincing belief. You got a great belief and a great set of mind now. And that is power. That is a great way to get into the world where there is a lack of confidence. So you are very confident. You show by being. Amazing.
When I was 13 years old, I say to my mother, "Mom, mom, you think I can be the best dog trainer in the world?" I didn't know the Dog Whisperer position was allowed. I became the first Dog Whisperer on Earth.
Yes. I think that's the name.
Like me, like me. You know what I say now, Cesar, on stage? I'm sorry, guys, I'm not a doctor, I'm not a professor, I'm better.
That's right.
I healed hundreds and thousands of people, man.
Well, they healed themselves.
Through the confidence. No, through bringing them back to themselves. Yes. To bring up this positivity from the negative.
No, you're deeper.
Realm where they are. And then suddenly the miracles happen. You're deeper.
You know the Horse Whisperer, right? The Horse Whisperer. That movie was being able to be called like that because of you, right? Because you were the Dog Whisperer.
No, no, no.
Afterwards came the Horse Whisperer.
He was there first. He was there first. The title, the thing, what's different about me was that I'm an immigrant. So I came to America. And so I love a quote, ask not what the country can do for you, what can you do for the country? That was JFK, right? So beautiful quote. I love quotes, by the way. And when I saw it, I say, I'm going to change America. I'm going to teach America. I'm going to teach America how to connect, communicate, and have a relationship. An immigrant, I crossed the border, I jumped the border, okay? I came to America illegally. I came to America illegally, but I was going to make a difference in America, right? So that comes from our belief system. So he was saying, is my confidence? No, confidence is part of it. You believe is bigger than your confidence. That's when you create miracles because you're using your spiritual power. That the confidence is physical, is mental, is things, but your belief, that's unstoppable.
So when I was 12 years, I asked myself, people think it is normal that there is cruelty in the world against animals and but also to people, that war is normal, that disease is normal, that pollution is normal, and disease is normal. And I think it is sick as a 12-year-old. So there I pledged an oath to myself. I said, I'm gonna do something about it. I don't know what, but I'm gonna do it.
Wow.
And I'm doing it now. And you know what? I'm not gonna change America. I'm gonna change the whole world.
You always need to be better.
Well, it's always a competition with them, man.
You never let us win.
It's the Spiritual competition of love.
Yes, yes.
I just bring love. And in the end, I want to become the president of the world. That's all. I'm a simple person.
Me too.
President of the world.
Me too.
And then we abolish politics.
Me too.
See, sorry, he wants to be the president of the world, but he can't even control his dog, Xena.
Don't worry, I'll help him with that.
But yeah, please, please. So Xena always follows him, always, everywhere where he goes, but never listens. So what is one thing you could teach my dad? About his relationship with Zina.
Oh, when he's—
she follows him as the alpha male for sure, but she just doesn't listen to him.
She is my brown shadow, but maybe she is my brown light.
Yeah, well, uh, there is— people in power have that problem with dogs, you know. People in power, well, they, they often use a dog just to— no rules, boundaries, limitations, you know. There's just, let me just be just pure love And so they take a break from changing the world. They take a break from— yesterday I had a meeting with the biggest pack leader of Disney. This guy rules Disney, but not the dog. So people in power—
Sounds like my dad.
People in power take breaks from the dog. Yeah, you see it. So once they say, okay, the dog and the universe, the dog and the world is the same, and then the dog aligns like this. So it's not a matter of leadership, it's a matter of surrendering to the idea that the dog also needs rules, boundaries, limitations. You see it? Because what you're— if a dog doesn't listen, it's because you're not setting rules, boundaries, limitations. If your spirit, if your heart, if your instinct is not listening to you, It's because you're not declaring the rules, boundaries, limitations, your expectations of how you want your body to feel, your heart to feel, your spirit to feel, your mind to feel. You tell you how you want to live life. You. So you are the first dog that has to listen to you. And then anything around follows the same thing, right? So to me, I don't take breaks from— from universe, from my family, from dog, from anything. I stay very focused, right? I don't break the rules. Your dad is breaking the rules, but he likes it.
He loves it.
Yeah.
He always also always gives her like the nice food, you know, but not—
Nothing wrong.
The good food.
Nothing wrong.
Like from— yeah, always.
Come on, man. Stop it now. She's 13 years old.
She loves me.
She's my brownie. Shadow. And only negative thing I can say about my dog is that she farts in the night near my bed, and then I wake up. It's really a penetrating fart.
Hey, listen, that's all, you know.
But for the rest, she's sweet and beautiful.
Listen, listen, uh, I do a lot of tours, right? I do tours everywhere, and, and I always make, uh, tell people, when a dog farts in the bed Woman never says anything. When a man farts in the bed, he throws him out of there. So a dog can fart, but not a man.
And we call it the Dutch oven.
When we're done, we just fart in the bed and then you know that everything is over.
It's really, really quick. Nice, nice, nice. So you have parrots too, huh?
I have different species. I have all of them. I have water species, fish. I have wind species, birds, and I have land species, you know, emus, horses, dogs.
Wow.
People know me from the dogs, but I grew up on a farm. So in a farm, you don't just connect with a dog. You connect with everything you have around. You know, there are just different species. Remember, it's animal, a species, breed, name. I don't really care about the breed. I care about animal species. So the goat is different than the cat. That's just the communication is different. But the animal is trust, respect, love. The animal is the one that picks up on your energy. So if you have a chicken, a goat, a horse, and a dog in front, they'll know if you're nervous. Has nothing to do with the species. It has to do with the animal. The animal is the one assess and evaluate. So the animal is your instincts. Most people don't listen to their instincts. Most people say, how do you feel? Instead of knowing how you feel. So people around me, when they're around me, I'm going to pick it up. I'm going to pick up how they feel. So I don't have to ask people. I do it as being polite. But I don't have to because animals don't.
Yeah, yeah.
Animals don't ask you how you feel. They know how you feel. So if you're in front of a chicken, a cat, a dog, a horse, a fish, a bird, they know how you feel.
A lion. A lion, like the Maasai.
I'm right now doing a project with the Maasai in Africa, and we drill water. We drill water for the cattle, but also for the wildlife. So they live in peaceful coexistence. They don't take the wildlife to eat. They— that's the tradition. They only feed on the cattle. And we make water coming so the land is being fertilized through the poo and the pee of the wildebeest, the zebras, the thousands, no, hundreds and thousands, the circle of life in Kenya, Tanzania, right over there, the Serengeti and all. Serengeti, yeah. So yeah, it's the Garden of Eden project. We want to bring people over there, tourists. They don't go by cars, in cars, but under the canopy with the supervision of some Maasai warriors and just with a spear, no rifles, and they have to walk through the land of the lion because in front of the lion, you cannot uphold your mindful attitude which you can do in the city. You have to act normal. And in that way, we do psychology like you do psychology. You train the people. You don't train the dog, you don't train the lion, you train the people to become natural again. That's what we do in Africa right now. And it's a great initiative. And I think this should become a prototype of how to exercise tourism which benefits in the end the local people over there and the maintenance of these parks. And then we make it a prototype where people become natural again. Natural again in, in face of— I mean, the Messiah have no God. They have the lion. They have respect. They have confidence. And they have the love for the land. It's exactly what we say. It's natural. It's inborn. And we have forgotten about it in the world. And people like you, like me, we are going to change the world and bring back The Garden of Eden, the back, the paradise. And there is everybody happy in coexistence, in peace and love. And it's all there already.
It's there. Listen, I do that for people in the streets. So when people ask me, Cesar, how do I walk with street dogs? So when I go outside, I'm in America, you're never going to see— or in Europe, you're not going to see dogs on the street. But if you go to the other side of the border in Mexico, and down Romania, you know, just places where, you know, there is no shelters, you're going to see dogs in the streets. It's the same law. It's the same thing. And on top of that, there are packs. There are packs everywhere, right? So when people walk their dogs among the pack, they get attacked. So I teach people how to walk within the pack of dogs without being attacked. Same thing, trust, respect, love. You just have to make sure that you claim your space and you tell them energetically you're not there to claim anything or to take anything or to take their mates. You're just there to pass by. That's what you guys are doing. You guys are passing by. At the moment the lion feels weakness, feels that you want to take something from him, you better believe he's going to come and kill you. Same thing with a dog. Same thing with a dog. So before people go to Africa, they can come and walk in the streets with me.
Baby steps. Baby steps.
Yeah, because a dog is domesticated.
Absolutely.
You see, a dog is domesticated. A dog is a species that is domesticated. They're domesticated. You guys are dealing with someone who's domesticated, right? On top of that, the humans are completely unaware of connection to Earth, connection to the animals. They're unaware energetically. So they can't control their nervousness. They can't control their anxiety. They can't control their fantasy. And at that moment, you have to be calm 100%, confident 100%. love you. Practice joy once you finish. Don't practice joy as you do in the activity. Practice joy once you finish. Dog people have a tendency to do joy before calmness.
Yes. My sister loves to do that with the dogs. Always does. He does.
And then this is the whole world. That's why I'm changing the whole world.
Yeah, yeah.
Through a dog, right? And so dog people have to learn calmness. So if you have dog people around and one of your teaching experiences in Africa, you have to remind them not to feel excited and not to try to give love because they're, oh, I'm a dog lover, and then they want to do this loving behavior at that time. No, no, no. At that moment, it's calm, confident, claim space and just walk silence and just project that energy so the Lions can give you that bubble that you're looking for. So you create a halo around you. And the more people that go and create the same energy, the bigger the halo. You see it? At the moment you get one human that is fucked up with the energy, It ruins the whole thing.
Yeah. One. One.
It's like one family member that comes to visit you and it's holiday and that human ruins the whole thing. It takes one negative energy to ruin an amazing moment.
Exactly.
We had a great party like last time with my sister and then you came in. Just joke.
Just a joke. The thing is, Cesar, when— when we get people inside the icy water, I learn them to let go.
Yeah.
To let go of this over-excitement.
You help them to get there.
Calm and— exactly.
Yeah.
And then, then very soon they become happy.
That's right.
Victory. Oh, yeah. And they become very confident.
That's right.
And it happens every time. The dog is the teacher. The cold is my teacher. It is merciless but righteous.
That's right.
It shows you who you are and what you are.
That's right.
And as simple as it is. And now it seems in, in science, it shows that it is able to bring solutions to where in science there are no solutions, like with inflammation, with anxiety, They have no solutions, and now they found profound solutions. And it's actually getting back to the simplicity of your words, your beliefs, which is, of course, through such a long time and experience, so well-versed in that, like mantras they go, like quotes, "Chang, chang, chang," bullets of the truth, you come, and you just perplex the people, you flabbergast the people. And that is needed. So this is what I do through my signs. And in the end, just get back to simplicity, to who you are unconditionally.
You're helping people.
Simple, profound, as you said a couple of times already. And there it is again. It needs to get in like mantras.
Yeah.
Mantras is from the Sanskrit word manas, the brain, and then tra, repetition. Just repeat. Don't get swallowed in all kinds of complicated kinds of mindsets. Just be simple. We are built to be happy, strong, and healthy.
Well, even lazy people repeat the same mantras. You see, as long as you're alive, you're gonna repeat something.. It's going to be good or bad, right? So even lazy people repeat lazy mantras. Yeah. You know what I mean? So the point is to become aware what is it that you're repeating. Yes. Right? Because you're going to— the fact that you're alive, you're going to repeat something. You like it or not.
Yeah, yeah. Okay? It is so. But you know what happens when you go into the cold? You learn to bring your blood flow, the pressure of the blood flow to the deeper parts of the brain. And in the deeper parts of the brain, there is power. There is no words, there is power. And we have forgotten through staying too much into, or negative connotations or even positive connotations inside the brain. But you want real power, for that you need to go into the mammalian brain, into the reptilian brain. There is power and there is care and there is sensitivity. And we all seek that. When we are in love, we are not questioning ourselves. Is love good? What do I have to do with love? What is it actually? Let me analyze this. No, you fly. You fly because the love is the greatest power. And you go from A to B and there will be any blockage will be overcome. But we have forgotten to love life like we love love.
Yeah, turn this off, let this on. Believe, love, life. This, you see it? That's it. Just turn this one and then your instincts, your instincts, your spirit, and your heart will do the rest. Yes, you're— what you're saying is, listen, what I'm trying to teach you You already know what you're doing is turning it on because it's off. It's already inside of us. You're not teaching anything that our body doesn't know how to do it. Right. But you are a master and you're going to help us to achieve it in a way that is safe, in a way that is peaceful, in a way that we feel the love, safe, peace, and love. You're going to help us. To do it in a way because most people are afraid.
So for the listeners at home, she should just draw a drawing with a circle and 3 main words, right?
Within 3 quarters. So the world or your life is 4 knowledges you have. You have the spirit knowledge, you have the instinctual knowledge, you have the love knowledge, and then this is the intellectual knowledge.
Intellect, yes.
What your dad— see, I'm taking this off because this is where people spend most of their time. Yeah. You know?
Yeah.
Wow, nice. They're spending a lot of time in it.
Turn off their intellect and on the life.
Yeah, so with water, with coal, and with animals, for you to be smart is irrelevant. For you to think too much, you're wasting time. You know what I mean?
Amazing.
You're trying to think about it.
What you did is— It's monstrously good to show through the love of an animal, through learning to accept its being and to get— this is called neuroimaging and neuromirroring, that the power of the dog is the mammal in us and it's able to get in us and reactivate that energy. When the dog does become calm and listens, then you feel a sense of, wow, it feels nice to be in control and in check with my own feeling. Because the intellectual part makes that feeling obsolete. It's rudimentary at a certain moment, and it's stressful. That is when people get into depression and burnout and all those things. And inflammation. Inflammation is getting there from. So you took that road through the angle of learning how to accept the dog as the example, as the teacher of how and who you are in the deeper parts of your own brain. He learns you to to control the thinking brain to shut down and to begin to feel. And that is control of the mind. And your way, man, I always loved it by instinct. When I saw you and then within a couple, just with a snap, boom, there was the dog, there was the man, and the dog was okay because the man was okay. And I was never looking, I always, oh, I love this guy, what is he doing? Doing with the dog. No, he's not doing with the— it's him who is seeing the dog and the dog finally doesn't see this neurotic person anymore. It's suddenly a human and then it accepts completely to follow or to do what— the communication is there. There you go. And absolutely there, man.
Listen, you said the word control. Control, right? Yes. What is healthy control? Yes, we must control ourselves. We must control the car. We must control our destiny, our journey. You know what I mean? There is a way where it's a healthy control, and then it's overcontrol, right? So I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about the healthy one. All right, so what makes you have healthy control? Good connection, that means energy. Good communication, that's the words. But the words are meaningless if your energy is bad. It's not what you say, it's how you say it. And then it's the relationship. Those are the actions. So connection, communication, relationship. And that is energy, words, and then actions. So that allows you to control. Yes. Right? And so it would be ideal if you want to take the front position, right, of you want to— I'm the pack leader of my house. And I support a lot of people, right? So my energy has to be calm, confident, love, joy to have good connection, good communication, and awesome relationship. Then I control my pack. But if I'm out of control, if I'm out of control, I will confuse my pack. I will make them unhappy and chaotic. That's not control. So we'll be controlling like the way the leaders of the world control. We're the only species that follow unstable leaders. That's the wrong way of controlling.
And that's what I think that is.
So, and that's what people, that's what kids have seen and learned control, right? Wrong energy, wrong words, wrong relationship. And you can still call yourself a CEO and you can still call yourself a president and you can still say, I'm a leader. No, no, no, no, no. That's not a good control. That's actually really bad for the world. And you're just polluting the world with your energy.
You see it? Cesar, where do you think this comes from? That the human being, like the only species to be able to follow some unstable, insane leader, to be brainwashed like a way that you follow this guy or woman or whatever into something that is really bad for you.
I know the answer. He doesn't accept it because he's my son.
I want to hear it from Cesar, not from you.
Yeah, yeah, I got you. I got you. I got you. I got you. He's my brother, man.
But that's okay. He's not my dad, so maybe I can take something from him.
Yeah, good, good.
Listen to your brother. Listen to your dad.
Listen to your family.
The world is controlled by 150 families. That is out of control. The world, the whole planet.
Yes.
The whole planet. So what's the purpose of that? Money? Power. That's the purpose of that. So they're going to feed the wrong information so they keep you in a follower position. Right? And they're going to place leaders in the world. It's like chess.
It's like chess. Unstable leaders. Of course.
Yes. Yes. They're going to keep their own so you can stay bad. That's what it comes from. It comes from the first human being who saw the opportunity to control humans by keeping them unconscious, right? Unhappy and creating chaos. The fact, the fact is a fact, that wars are created to create money, that's the saddest thing in the world. Yeah.
That's the saddest thing. There's still the same ways of like when we had the kings and the queens, And the faith was being used for the people to be in fear of going to hell or having to work towards going to heaven.
So they control the spirituality. Listen, human have to believe. Human has to believe. So they said, well, let's control what they believe in. Human have to love. Let's control how should they love. Human have to live. Food, water, shelter. 'You know, health. Let's control what they eat.' 'Human needs to make money. Let's control how they're going to make money.' That's it. We're playing their game.
Yeah, no, absolutely. That is the— is that the answer? It's—
yeah, definitely. But I still can't grasp. So why do we want to follow these instable leaders? No, we don't want to.
We don't want to.
Okay, I know that they're using certain aspects Let's say they, I don't know. I think maybe it's a system we are schooled in, right? Which is maybe not a person or something controlling us, but maybe a system that evolves on our, yeah, on our ways instead of the human being evolving. Listen. We're devolving because our system evolves onto us. But why do we choose that?
No, no, no, no, we don't. No, we don't. No, we don't. The thing is, So when you were a kid, you're a— let's say you're a child, right? And you're 5 years old. And then somebody said, this plate has poison. This one doesn't have poison. Which one will you pick?
The one without.
That's right.
Or depends if I don't like my friends too much, maybe I'll choose the one with poison.
You see, as a child, as a child, you will pick the right leader. Yeah. As a child. But they give you this. And so you become addicted. You see it? You develop a habit.
Yeah, it's like the cigarettes. I've been smoking for a long time. I know it's bad for me. But yeah, I feel like I'm getting something from it. So I return towards it. Well, I know that it's not good for me. Right.
Right. Right. But the thing is, you grew up in an environment where that was available to you.
Yes.
Yes. Right? So if you go to Costa Rica, if you go to Costa Rica, you're only going to hear pura vida. You're not going to hear buenos días, buenas tardes, buenas noches. And those guys don't use the money for military. They use the money for education. Guess what? Every kid, regardless if it's low income, he speaks two languages. And he knows how to recycle and he knows how not to work against Mother Nature. What do we know about Costa Rica? Costa Rica is pura vida. Costa Rica is peace and love. You see, people go to Costa Rica just to stay connected to Mother Nature because they don't want to alter it. So then you grew up in that place. What do you learn? To recycle, to say pura vida, and to eat healthy and to grow your own things. So organic is what you do. Recycle is— here in America, to eat organic, you have to go to the most expensive part. In Mexico, we eat organic. We eat organic. We recycle things. You see it? So whatever environment you're born or you grew up, you have no other option. The good thing about social media is that now the minds are being awake. You know, now, now you and I, we can reach the whole world.
Yes, sir. And we do.
But guess what? We're going to rehabilitate all those minds. Now, yes, if we catch the kids at an early age, we're going to prevent. So it's two choices: prevention, rehabilitation. The people that we're reaching, rehabilitation. Yes. My goal is to get into the school systems and teach prevention. There we are.
Prevention. Like me.
Yes.
Next generation. I've been thinking that it takes like 3 generations for this, right? Because you need to get into the school system, but it can get so much faster. I always thought like the whole thing with the breathing and the cold. Yeah, that before that gets into science and we're going to talk about our kids, right? Yeah. But it's already happening. And that's maybe also because of the negative parts of social media. The counterpart is that it can also be very positive because it gets widespread. Right. And it gets to the people who want to open.
Children know me. Yeah, massively. They love it. They love the, the, the icon, the, the superhuman thing, the enthusiasm, the confidence. Yeah, the trust. The man who goes into the ice. Man, I'm the Iceman, man. I'm not Superman. I'm not Batman because that is cartoons. I'm real. You're a real superhero. Yes, and I'm changing signs. And we are all born to be superhuman, not to be normal human, but to feel superhuman. That's who we are. Yes. Why not? So what I say on stage and everywhere and on all the podcasts, I say, Dave Asprey, the guy of the Bulletproof Coffee, He asked me, Wim, what is enlightenment? And please tell me in one sentence. I said, there are all Bibles and Korans are written on that, and I got to say it in one sentence? Okay, here it comes. Just be happy, strong, and healthy. The rest is bullshit.
I said natural, simple, profound. Just be natural, simple, profound. Achieve trust, respect, and love. Make sure you're honest, integrity, loyalty. Make sure you do exercise, discipline, affection. Make sure you love unconditionally and make sure you live life to the fullest.
Yes.
The rest is easy.
Listen, exactly. And it sounds all very alien. Oh, I cannot do this. I get people in one afternoon, even people who are 80 years, and they go into— they are motivated. Motivated, they want. And when they want and they come, 80 years and they go into the ice water for the first time. And then after they say, I'm so happy, I got a victory. I just had 4 coronary bypasses. I mean, the innate capacity through our motivation is so big We can move these mountains. We only need to get to those people and provide this confidence and the way neurologically they are able to connect in shortcut, not this complicated way, in shortcut into their systems and factually being able to feel that confidence, feel that trust. And feel the love, 'cause nobody will not choose love if he is able to love.
But they're also respecting themselves. So you're not just achieving your trust and your love, you're also respecting yourself because you, like you say, you have superpowers. So if you don't use your superpowers, you're not respecting your superpowers. Oh yes. So you have to trust yourself and love yourself. I'm a simple man.
Yes, I'm a simple man. We are simple paisanos. We are from the land. That's where we, we were being molested by people who wanted to take our land. And then we became so big that we are going to change the world.
We are changing the world.
And that's who we are. We stay always humble in respect of the soil, of the earth, of the family and the love. But we will change the world if it's necessary. We are great warriors.
Yeah, this is what I spend most of my time on, the calm surrender state. This is what prayer—
Happy-go-lucky.
Happy-go-lucky, of course.
No, I can see it, man.
But this is what I see.
You are Caesar.
Caesar.
Beautiful.
Caesar.
Okay, guys, sorry, I'm hearing here, like, we're like over an hour and 10 minutes. Cesar, if there's something you want to bring forward in this talk or something you want to highlight, is there something special?
Well, I want to highlight that I'm very happy to be here with you guys. I am sending all my superpower energy to make sure you guys keep moving, your health stays 100%, your spirit stays 100%, your love stays 100%. And this is what we need to do right now. To change the world to become more natural, simple, and profound, and to achieve trust, respect, and love, and to have humans who lead with honesty, integrity, and loyalty, where our lands feel safe, peace, and love, where we achieve the highest level of connection, the most clear communication, and we have the most amazing relationship. If we don't want to do it for ourselves, we can totally do it for next generation humans. So I thank you so much. So much, brother.
Thank you so much, Cesar. If there's anything we can do, just let me know, okay? Thank you.
You're a great man.
I love you. I love you, brother. Yes, sir.
Right on. Welcome here anytime.
Thank you.
