I just jump into the whole experience like having no clue.
It didn't matter where you came from or who you are, tall or short, or your race or anything. We're all just here to experience something new and embrace the cold.
I wanted to experience his energy because I wanted to experience the real stuff.
It's an adventure and it does change you if you allow it to.
I was there to learn more about myself, to be able to focus on my health, to focus on me, to take care of myself. And I was also there to have fun. Let's go, girl! You're doing it for yourself, but you have to be there with others. It's not one or the other. So I would recommend to have that experience. I think the winter expedition is physical, but it's so spiritual. You have to be ready to go all the way physically and emotionally.
The huge hike up the mountain, shit got real really quickly. The wind's howling, the snow's moving, and it's kind of an adrenaline rush. It starts slowly, right? You're like, oh, this isn't so bad. And then you get to that one point where you turn and go left up the mountain, and that's when, yeah, it's okay, like, you really have to dig in here. You really have to listen to your instructors. You really have to breathe deep, and you go to a different place mentally, and you're checking in on your partner and kind of your people around you. I think about that often, that little voice in your head, you can't do that, or maybe you shouldn't do this, or— it's almost gone now. It's muted. Like, if I've done something that extreme, I know I can do other things.
Breathing and relaxing and holding their breath and getting into this beautiful place of deep inner work.
He was playing some music. And just the intensity of all that was pretty crazy.
I didn't think I had any traumas to release because I've had a fantastic life, but something is let go of in that type of breathing session. Let's go!
And there's just this electricity in the room, an amazing frequency in the room.
That's all I can say. There was just a tangible frequency of love and non-judgment. That was my experience.
There's just something to this that you can't really explain. You have to experience it to believe it.
