Wim Hof: Important lesson I learned from nature | #AskWim

Wim Hof says Mother Nature's biggest lesson is to live at 100 percent, fully and without holding back, because life is temporary. He treasures his childhood innocence most, criticizes conventional schooling for stifling freedom of expression, and frames his purpose as bringing love and power to everyone around him.

Hey, cheers. Q&A, coming. What is the biggest lesson Mother Nature has given to me? The biggest? To live life. 100%. Not 99%, 100%. And to go for the ride to understand it all. That is the biggest lesson. The biggest lesson is that we are very temporarily in life. —will be forgotten, possibly. Not me, I'm a very historic figure and all that. No. I want to be aware of what is the soul. Mother Nature is there witnessing and looking what we are doing with our lives. Let me tell you, I go to the depths, I go to the heights, I go to all sides. What would a perfect day look like for me? The perfect day is— yeah, it's every day. Every day is a perfect day to do it all. Only sometimes you have to bear fruit through time. You have to exercise patience. But the fruit is no less than the growth. So every day, if you look well, is a great day. It's a great day to die, it's a great day to live. I choose live and let die. If my house would be on fire, you know, and my beloveds are saved, that means all living beings, that is the dog, the turtles, the fish, they don't catch fire because, you know, fire and water. But of all the artifacts I got at home, what would I love the most to rescue? I think the paintings. I go for my paintings. Also for other paintings, but hey, I just feel this connection with my paintings. So I go for my paintings. I love it. What is the most treasured memory I have? When I was a young kid. I had no boundaries, I had no— just drive, drive, drive, drive, drive. Being a child, you are so innocent. You just look at the world as something so huge. And now I'm here, aware of the purpose of the universe, and I'm realizing it: to bring love, to bring love and power to every person in the world. What is the most treasurable in the past, what I've experienced, is innocence. And that innocence I want to protect because it is the most treasured. If I could change the way I am raised, what would that be? I think to have more freedom of expression. And to have the value therein, that expression, free expressing, expressive being is the value we go for instead of schooling. Like cognitive schooling for career and that's what you got to do and the rest is not so important. To me the rest is important and that cognitive development process is not so important. So there is a change. Though I do not blame my folks whatsoever. I love them. For what in my life I feel most grateful? To have great people around me. All these souls, all these colors, all these different people. And then— Of course, my kids, my wife, my innocent little child. Yeah, it's beautiful. So what is the most to me? The most is life itself. That's what makes me alive. Yes! I always am excited to go. Hey, oh, I'm going to do this. I'm going to go to those people and talk about this and being with that and where that goes. It always involves human beings. Spirituality, that is the most spirituality. Yes.
