In this informal AskWim Q&A, Wim Hof answers viewers’ questions about the secret to a happy life. He repeatedly emphasizes that there is no hidden secret—happiness comes from simply "breathe and believe." He explains that deep, intentional breathing alters body chemistry, increasing dopamine and lighting up the nervous system, which he likens to alchemy that turns the self into "gold"—inner light and radiance. Hof shares personal anecdotes, such as watching a Guinness‑record chainsaw‑juggling act and reflecting on his own willingness to try anything, though he admits some feats aren’t his cup of tea. He mentions his ability to do splits (but not split himself), his upcoming public event on October 4 in San Jose (near San Francisco), and invites fans to attend. He also reveals his current favorite songs—a freedom anthem titled "You Can’t Hold the Ceiling with Your Hands" and a quirky track from the Hubba Bubba Club that his son loves—illustrating his playful, family‑centered mindset. Throughout, Hof stresses determination, a growth‑oriented attitude, and encourages viewers to leave more questions in the comments for future answers.

Hi guys, you've been asking all kinds of questions. I'm here fully aware to answer, to go for it. What is the secret to a happy life? There is no secret, just be happy. How? Just breathe and believe. Breathe and believe. If there is a secret, just Breathe and believe, and it all comes about. Learn to breathe deep and you change your chemistry. And then when the chemistry changes, you are capable to reach out and make connection deeply within and change the hormones into dopamine, which is like happiness. Yes, you are the master of your own chemistry. You are the alchemist. And what does an alchemist want? Gold or happiness? What would be your choice? I say happiness. And if you want the gold, the gold is the light within. It's the nervous system. Enlighten the nervous system, deblock the nervous system, and you become full of light, radiance, and it's like happiness. Happiness is where you are just happy. In the flow. No blocks, inhibitions, fears, or this or that present. You are just there. And that is happiness. What is the trick? What is the secret? Just breathe and believe. Can I juggle chainsaws? If I want a massacre? Absolutely. Massacre of myself. I can juggle with all kinds of things. Clubs and sticks and balls and things and stones. I do a lot. But yeah, I think I saw a guy who has the Guinness World Record in a show where I was to perform as well. So I saw how he juggled 3 chainsaws in the air. I saw it. And I thought, that's not my cup of tea. But can I? Hey man, I don't know. I got to practice for that. I think. Because you want to be sure that with a running chainsaw, you don't want to make a mistake. So I don't know about it. It's not my cup of tea. But you know, you can learn anything, I think. In the end. But once again, it's not my cup of tea. If you ask me what it makes to have me in a certain place like India or Japan or Australia or America or anything is— Yeah, people coming to our events. Just show you want me to come and then we will try to meet the question, you know, the demand. Of course. I can do the splits, but I can't split myself. I want to come. I want to— I'm honored to come anywhere. Next event where I'll be going to is the 4th of October in San Jose, near San Francisco. Please come over there. And let's hang out there. Okay. What is my favorite song right now? It actually are like two songs. One is "You Can't Hold the Ceiling with Your Hands." Lift up your hands like you cannot hold the ceiling. It's a song of freedom. And the other one is from Habba Baba Club. And yes, it's this crazy guy with the mustache driving his moped and he is so relaxed. My son, my little son, he is completely getting berserk when the Hubba Bubba Club is on. He begins to— Yeah, me too. Yeah, so father, so son. That is my determination. My belief. Absolutely. Always going on. Because it wasn't always so happy and nice and all. I had determination. I wanted to get out. I wanted to get the fullest out of life. That mindset is my best asset. Hey guys, thank you very much for your questions. I love to answer anytime. If you get more questions, then put them under this video, under this channel, under this YouTube channel thing.
