How do I make time for the important things in my life? You schedule what you value. If I value being a mom and having time with my kids, but yet I don't have any of that on my schedule, that's a problem, right? What areas of my life, what roles do I have that I want to ensure I make time for, and where is it on my schedule? For example, every month I have a one-on-one time with both my kids. You could say I spend time every day with them, but I mean quality time. So I actually have it on the calendar. It's me and Sammy day, or it's me and Zach day. It's not a whole day, it's usually like 3 or 4 hours, but it's just me and them, and that is on our schedule. That's just an example of scheduling what you value. So often people say, I value exercise. Then you look at their schedule and exercise is non-existent. So in order to really make time for the important things, you have to put it on your schedule, and then you have to do that in a very proactive offense way, not defense.
