Two homeowners built an off-grid permaculture home with builder Jackson Digney. They credit realistic budgeting, a fixed contract, and transparent communication through an online portal with photo updates for keeping the project on track and building trust.
Flexibility, transparency, honesty.
Building an energy-efficient home makes such sense really, not only financially, just practically in how it runs and the whole permaculture concept. We wanted a house that would go the distance and perform really well and look great, and that's what we got. Yeah, I think the early budgeting was really beneficial. You're better off being realistic about what things are going to cost and investing that small amount of money, and then to have a tight contract that doesn't fluctuate unless you make changes. So I found that very beneficial. Jackson came across as very authentic, honest, and professional. We knew once we met that, yeah, that was the way to go. The online feature was great. Yes. The photo feedback, the updates online. We could log in, see where things are at, see where the finances are.
Yeah, Jackson was very clear and guided us through the process really well. We never felt like there was anything hidden. It was all very out in the open and very transparent. Never had any doubt that we could entrust them.
It was just really like a partnership. Do it, build. It's exciting, and to have a builder who will follow through and, and do what they say, and it's a great opportunity to get Do get the design you want, the house you want, tailored to your needs, and yeah, build.
