We were scared about spending lots of money and not being able to trust someone to do what we wanted. Enduro Builders came on with some really practical solutions to some of those problems rather than, you know, sometimes you can get, I guess, really expensive fancy eco solutions to things, but working with, with a builder who been on the tools can often come up with some really practical, simple, smart, cost-effective ways to do it as well. There was something happening, I think, pretty much every day on site.
Very few days downtime.
It was amazing how the schedule was stuck to as well, so we could see what was happening on the online system. We know a lot of people who are building at the moment or building at the same time as us, and, and they would just have, you know, long periods of not Anything going on on site, and everyone was amazed at how ours was just kind of consistently, consistently going along. And we basically met the deadline. Very honest about what it would cost. Also, just working with Jackson and Enduro Builders is fun. It was— it felt like it was laid back, but it was, you know, serious and professional at the same time. There was no delays. So if he said he would do it that afternoon, he would do it that afternoon. And if he said he'd ring tomorrow, he would ring tomorrow. And I just knew that when he said he'd do something, he would. And that, that's a peace of mind that you don't— that I don't feel like you can really get.
I felt secure. Yeah, in the long run, you know, security was a strong sense. And knowing that the execution of the work was going to be done to a high standard, nothing would be hidden, I felt very secure in that knowledge that it was going to be a sound build. Enduro Builders would always be checking to make sure it was up to their standards, so things would be pulled up to a standard that perhaps, you know, you wouldn't— that we couldn't evaluate for ourselves. But yeah, there were numerous occasions where things were pulled up.
Yep, I know a lot of other people who've built have gone with, with builders who've said it will cost a certain amount and then it just adds up and adds up and adds up. And the thing that I think was obvious to us is that Enduro Builders told us as honestly as they possibly could, because they do thorough quotes which are actually really useful, how much it will cost, and it really actually will cost that much. I think our decision was based on, uh, feeling like we could trust Enduro Builders and feeling like they were actually being honest when they were saying, well, this is actually what it's going to cost. And you, and you see the breakdown, you think, oh, okay. So that would be more, more, more the way I'd encourage someone to make their decision.
