Google unveiled Spark at I/O, a new service built on Gemini 3.5 that runs background tasks using an "anti-gravity harness." It works with Google's tools now and will support third-party apps through the Marketplace Connect Platform in coming weeks. You can access it via the Gemini app, with email and chat interfaces coming soon.

It's powered by Gemini 3.5 and the Google anti-gravity harness, which allows it to perform long-running tasks easily in the background. Spark will integrate seamlessly with tools, starting with our own, and in the coming weeks with third-party tools through MCP.
