Robyn Anderson, an AI educator, recommends five tools for small-business owners: Claude as your main large language model, plus NotebookLM for summarizing documents and generating podcasts, Manus for turning research into websites, and Perplexity for web search with sources. Pick one LLM and treat the rest as contractors.

I get flown around the country to talk about AI and teach people specifically how to change their workday. These are the 5 tools that every small business owner needs to have in their back pocket. These are the 5 tools inside my AI Advantage course with score.org, and I want you to understand that these are the top 3 large language models, and I want you to just choose one to be your strategic partner. I have Claude as my strategic partner, and then every other AI tool that we use is a contractor or consultant. So choose one of those, and then these three you have to get to know. NotebookLM can summarize anything like websites, PDFs, YouTube videos, podcasts, uh, summarize it, and you can also create a podcast about that information. It's an incredible way to learn. Manus does amazing research. And it can also take that research and make it into a website. So it's like having this amazing researcher that is a, uh, web developer that works for you. And then Perplexity. If you've ever done a Google search and you're sick of sorting through the millions of responses, Perplexity does real-time web research, cites sources, and you can chat with it to dig deeper into whatever you're looking for. Give those a try. And if you use a tool that I didn't list here, tell me about it and tell me how you use it.
