Harnessing AI From Experimentation to Implementation for Business Success

Robyn Anderson, CEO of Jam AI, argues the era of waiting on AI is over. She demonstrates concrete workflows for hotels, retail, and small businesses using no-code platforms, showing savings like $4,739 per employee monthly and up to an hour of work saved daily. Anderson outlines a 90-day roadmap to move from experimentation to implementation.

Hey everybody, my name is Robyn Anderson and I'm the CEO of Jam AI. Thank you so much for taking a little bit of time, and I'm so excited to show you all about AI and how you can stop experimenting and start implementing. A little bit about me, my background is in sales and marketing. I've worked inside agencies for the past 15 years, and I started Jam AI in 2023. I saw ChatGPT for the first time and realized everything I've ever done from website design and development to marketing to SEO to video is all about to change. And I was right. It all changed and it changed fast and dramatically, and it's still changing. I'm lucky enough to work with score.org. I have a course on their website and I'm also one of their presenters and speakers on AI. I have an amazing community called Club Jam. Check it out. It's where tons of small business owners, consultants, coaches, we're all learning AI together. We work together every week and we bring in AI consultants, systems builders, and we are just crushing it. And then I'm also part of the Women of AI. I speak across the country talking to financial companies, real estate groups. Small business organizations of all kinds. Okay, enough about me. Let's get into it. So I live in Denver, and in Denver, the window is closing. In 2023 and 2024, we were kind of in the wait-and-see era. We were talking about how we could put AI into our business. What sort of systems could we change? What sort of AI agents could we create? And it's not a wait-and-see era anymore. 2026 came and AI hit hard this year. Things changed from AI being a content creator to now it's a full-blown partner. There's even AI that will completely and autonomously run a business at this point. So there's no more waiting. It is time to implement. I want to talk about just the evolution. 2022, we had some text gen come out. 2023, we had content creation. We saw things like Anthropic with Claude come out, ChatGPT, of course. 2024 is more about how can we connect these content creation tools to other tools. So there are a lot of connectors and plugins and open APIs. 2025 was the year of the AI agent. Make.com came out, N8N came out. People were building agents that could run on their own. And now in 2026, we're bringing in systems, skills, agents, and integration and how it's all working together. 2026, things have changed. It's no longer just, hey, this is my AI.. It is a profound part of our businesses, and it went from a tool that we use to a teammate that works for you, and it's changed everything. These numbers are insane, but they're actually real. I know because Manus and Claude found this for me. So there are 70,000+ AI tools launched a year. So how is anybody supposed to go out and try all of these or, as you're running a business, go learn about the right one for the right thing. Like, it's impossible. The projected spend for generative AI is $37 billion, so that's up 3.2% from 2024. And 1.8 billion people are using AI, whether it's ChatGPT, Claude, or entire systems. And Colorado ranks 8th in the U.S. of AI use per capita. So we are up there. We are a pretty forward-thinking AI state, which I'm happy to be a part of. So of course, with all of those numbers, the AI overwhelm is real, and also the hype bros out there are not making it much better. We're not only overloaded by all of these hundreds of tools that are coming our way, but we're also feeling this this weird sense of like, we have to try it right now. And if you don't try it right now, you're going to miss out because of all the marketing around some of these tools. And again, we don't have time. How are we supposed to learn an entirely new skill while you're running at 100, 110%, running your business, supporting your family, being a friend, a brother, a daughter, whatever you are. We're all a lot of things and we're all just trying our best. So this, this is real and it's exactly why I want you here today. And I'm glad you're here today because there is a solution for all of this. So again, waiting is not a choice at this point. They say that people who know AI, who are generally upskilled in AI, can save up to an hour a day. So that's 7.5 hours a week, almost a whole day. So number 1, if you're an employee, what do you think you could do to better your life with that extra day or to do better at your job with that extra day? As a business owner, think of all of the time you would have to actually work on your business rather than in your business. So this is a real number and it's something that I've seen firsthand. AI-enabled teams get more done. That's just what it is. But getting work done also means that they're saving money. So the value of just one employee per month that's recovered using AI can be up to $4,739. So this is just a statistic that should make every management person just go and sign up for some sort of AI training because this is nuts. So let me introduce you to the new org chart. Of course, at the very top is you and your team, but every single person on that team should report to these three things. We have our AI agents. So these are systems that perceive, decide, and act on how to achieve a goal that you tell it to achieve. An N8N automation or a Make.com automation is a trigger-based workflow. So you can think of if this, then that. There's a bunch of different platforms out there where you could build these systems. And then skills. These are kind of the newest thing and they're completely life-changing. They can, on some platforms, run autonomously like OpenClaw and Claude Code with Remote, but they also run just on trigger. So if you ask it to run in Claude or Manus. And what these are are reusable instructions that tells an agent exactly how to perform a specific task consistently. You can almost think about it like as a superhero and you're giving that superhero a new thing that it can do. So you're building your superhero and you want to give it the ability to see through walls. So we'll have to write up that skill and tell it how to do it. And then from now on, when you want it to see through walls, you'll just call that skill. So this is a really fun thing that we'll dive deeper into. This is a QR code for some of the tools that I will be mentioning on this presentation, and some of these are affiliate links. Spread the love. Trying to earn some points so I can continue using all of these without going broke. Okay, so what is an AI agent? I wanna break this down because I really want you to understand what this is. An AI agent can understand a goal you give it. So super easy. It can plan the steps needed to achieve the goal. It can execute multiple-step tasks across tools and platforms. It can adapt when it hits a roadblock, and it can report the results back to you. For example, for a hotel, we could say, research the top 5 Denver hotels near Union Station, analyze their pricing and reviews, and give me a competitive positioning report. Or for a retailer, you could say something like, monitor our top 10 products and alert me when a competitor drops their price by more than 10%. You set that goal and the agent does the work. I want to show you one of my favorite agents here. So this is Manus, and it's actually doing that prompt that we talked about in the Rhino area, and it's going to give us an intelligent report report on what, what are people charging, who's booking, who's doing well, and why. So you can see here it, it took about 15 minutes to do the research. I sped this up, and it did create an entire PDF that you can see here. So it's going through, and the thing is, I don't really have time to read that, so I'm going to download it. Here's just kind of a look at what it gave me in Manus, but I would download that and I would go over to NotebookLM, which is a tool by Google. And what you can do is you can select new notebook, you could upload the file that it created, and from here I can create a podcast about it so I could listen to it on a drive. I can create a mind map, an infographic flashcards, and it'll create something like this. So, you know, if you don't have time to read through that 27-page document that these AI agents created for you, you can find other ways to take that information and put it into whatever way you consume content the best. It also does explainer videos. So let's talk about an AI system. An AI system takes this agent one level further. So instead of one agent doing a job, you can have a network of specialized agents working together like an automated assembly line for knowledge work. So here's a real example I'll show you. So Agent 1 would monitor booking, booking pace, and then Agent 2 would look at competitor rates, and then it would also adjust pricing recommendations based on what it finds. Agent 3 will trigger an email that offers past guests occupancy dips. And then Agent 4 will update your website with dynamic promotions. The result? Revenue management running 24/7 without a revenue manager. For retail, kind of the same thing. Inventory tracking, demand forecasting, and automatic reorders all connected. All automated, all automated in one place. This isn't science fiction. This is literally available right now. It's not that hard to build. Here's an example of one in N8N. So how it works is it automatically sends a personalized welcome email before a guest checks in with reservation details, hotel amenities, and contact information, and then post-stay review requests So it can send an automated review request. I know how important those Google reviews are, so we'll send that, and in return they would get a discount code. Or daily staff reports. It can generate comprehensive arrival and departure reports every morning at 6 AM for the housekeeping and front desk and management teams. Smart tracking. It can prevent duplicate emails by automatically updating tracking status in your Google spreadsheets and your Google database. So that's what this one automation does. And then just kind of looking at the simple setups, as long as you use something like Google Workspace, and if you don't have that, you can use Airtable, you basically just have to sign in with your API key and set it up. The other thing I want to talk about is Vibe Coding. Vibe Coding is basically the great equalizer. You don't have to hire a development team or use a fancy web designer to create any sort of internal apps or landing pages. You can build all sorts of landing pages, apps, whatever, with no code required. I used to work at an agency where we sold six-figure websites, POS systems, custom CRMs, and I'm just shocked at how much you can do on your own. With no-code vibe coding tools. So with vibe coding comes a few things. I'm gonna show you an example, but I wanna show you this first because you're going to see that vibe coding is so easy that you're going to get all of these ideas. And I'm going to save you a lot of time because there's a tool called Novi, which I'll show you. And basically you can put your idea in and it'll rate your idea and tell you if you should actually go through with it. So let me show you how easy it is to vibe code though. So I just said, create a mobile-friendly app that will be a tip calculator for my servers, and they could split tips based on the hours worked. So you can see over here is where I put in the prompt, and then it's literally just working away. It's building the tip calculator. It does everything from the UI, so the user interface, It can connect to databases on the backend if needed. These can be as complex or as simple as you'd like. They take about 2 or 3 minutes to create an app like this, and then you can customize it for here, from here. So let's see here. And there you go. So you could just publish this, send it to your servers. They could put their names in, put in the total amount. You could also go over here and put in custom instructions based on maybe server number 1 gets a bigger percentage than the others, and you could build in your customizations from there. Well, this is just a little app, but you can actually build an entire website. Let me show you a fun website that I built just to make a great example. This is called Sit Stay Studio, and people can upload pictures of their dogs and then turn them into Renaissance portraits. Valentine's Day images, whatever you want to do, and it will upload the picture. It saves it on a database. It's integrated with Stripe to take payments, and I actually built the entire thing on Manis. I also bought the domain on Manis, and I also do all of my SEO and web maintenance right in the Manis user interface. So I I don't have to use things like Squarespace or WordPress or any of those other tools anymore where you have to work inside of these little tiny blocks. I literally just said, I want a website where I can turn dogs into XYZ images, and here it is. So here's some of the tools that you can use to vibe code. So Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, Replit, Manus. These are all vibe coding platforms where you can simply just type in your prompt and watch it get developed. So highly suggest you give those a try. So back to what we were talking about where 2023, 24, even 25 was like the chatbot era, and now we're in this agent era. So the tool I just told you about was for vibe coding was Manus. But Manus is also an incredible tool that I think everyone should know about. So I just want to spend a few minutes talking about Manus. Manus can do deep research, data analysis, content creation, slide creation, web development, workflow automation. But basically what it can do is be your COO., and it does all of these things autonomously. So it's an agentic agent, meaning you put in your prompt and it'll actually go out into the world, find the answers, find the information, and bring it back. It's amazing at content creation like blog posts, social media, email campaigns, promotional materials, data analysis. You can upload huge spreadsheets, your sales data, product data, guest feedback., and it could analyze that and turn it into any type of presentation or chart or even an infographic. And actually Manus built the presentation that you're looking at right now. And then as you saw, it also does that vibe coding. So it really is one of the many tools that I think you should take a look at. Here's just some examples. You can actually go in and click on any of these. And it will manually upload the prompt to get you started to build whatever it is that you see here. So they take away a lot of the guessing and a lot of that prompting work that we had to really focus on in 2024. It's no longer really something we need that much. Now prompting went from— prompting was like speaking to the AI tool, and now it's being really clear on what you expect of the AI tool. So here's an example of the prompt that it brought up. And yeah, you just fill in the blanks and get going. Another thing Manus is super good at is finding out your competition. And so I know we did a little bit of that in the earlier example, but there's also connectors, which I'll show you for both Manus and Claude. And so there's one called Apify. You can connect it to Manus or Claude. And it will go and scrape the internet. So you could do like Google Maps for a specific location. You could scrape reviews, pricing, menu items, whatever, whatever you need for your competition. And then you could ask it to give you that information in a visual manner that would be helpful to you. It could also scrape your own website and have it compare and contrast. And so this is a really great thing. Like if you have a gut feeling that your competitor is doing something, follow your gut, but you can use Mannus to actually confirm that what you think is right. So this used to cost thousands of dollars for a consultant to do something like this, and now you get it with your $20 subscription in like 10 minutes. And then also, just— I know I talked about data already, but you used to have to look into different portals like POS, go to Google reviews, Export multiple CSVs, and now you could just tell Manus to go to that website and look for it yourself. You don't have to even download anything anymore, and you could just do a simple prompt on how you want that report to look. So pretty awesome tool. And then here's that prompt for a market research assessment if you wanted to try it out. Here's some interesting ways that Denver businesses are using AI right now, and it You know, I'm working with multiple businesses here and I'm seeing all of these apply. It's really industry agnostic. Like every business needs this information. So it's just a matter of how you're creating it. So again, the dynamic pricing, we kind of talked through that. Guest chatbots and voicebots. So if somebody comes to your website, you can have a very specific chatbot for each page. You can even have a phone where they call it and it goes to a specific voice bot where they can get information. This is great if you have after hours or really busy times and you know you're getting calls. AI review responses. So, you know, everybody gets a bad review once in a while. Not everyone could be perfect all the time. It's nice to have something running to alert you when it does and also have a response already there. An empathetic response at that, letting the person know that you're very sorry for whatever happened. Personalized email marketing— this is just something that is standard and it has been for a while, but AI is making it much easier. Event-driven promotions— so if there's some sort of event going on locally, I know as business owners we have our hands in multiple different things. We may not be looking at the calendar and see that it's You know, the Pride parade tomorrow, like, oops, we forgot. Well, luckily we have an automation that's already spitting out an updated rate based on the incoming guests. Inventory demand forecasting, predicting how much stock you might need before a weekend rush. This can be using, you know, data from past years and actually give you a really smart guess rather than just kind of like hoping. The social media stuff, like this is where it gets to be gold. There's so many ways to use AI for social media. Manist is a great place to start. There's some other tools like Bloatato and Repurpose.io that have been saving people's lives when it comes to growing on social, because who has time for that? Staff training and role play. This has been huge. You can create all sorts of different voice bots, chat bots, to actually roleplay with your new hires. We could put in people's, like, most common complaints or objections and have them go through the entire roleplay, and then it could give them a score based on how they did. Competitive analysis, we talked about that quite a bit. And then customer feedback analysis, they can find trends in guest complaints before they hurt the sales or the Google reviews. Here's an example of how you can use AI video to create a nice little message to your guests.
Hi there, on behalf of the team at the Cotel Denver, thank you so much for staying with us. We hope your experience was amazing. If you enjoyed your stay, could you please take 2 minutes and click the link to leave us a review? It truly helps our team. If you had any negative experiences, we want to know about those too. We're always looking for ways to improve our service. If you did, could you tell me more by pressing the phone icon below? Thank you again, and we hope to see you back in Denver soon.
So that was created using a tool called HeyGen, and I simply just put in a prompt that said, have her thank our guests for staying at our hotel. It's called the Cotel of Denver. We hope your experience was amazing, and take a few minutes to leave a review, and if it wasn't great, I'm here to talk to you. And it did this whole thing, and it even picked this avatar. So I thought this was really cool. Next, I want to talk about Claude. Claude is everyone's favorite tool right now. There are so many different ways to use Claude. You could use the web app, which is just online, or you could use Claude Cowork, which is a desktop app, or you can use Claude Code, which actually exists in your terminal. It's very easy to set up, and if you're not somebody who thinks that you should be using a code terminal, this is actually for you because it's actually very easy to set up. So I want to talk to you about skills inside of Claude. So you could build skills in any of those platforms, web-based, Cowork, or Code. And a skill is basically something that you can train it to do, and it could be one of your more complex processes, and you can train Claude to do that skill in just a matter of minutes. So for instance, I have clients who are in the finance industry and they have to take these illustrations with all sorts of numbers for their clients to look at, you know, long-term life insurance and retirement stuff, and basically they'll upload all of that information. And in this skill, it knows the 8 slides it needs to make, it knows what sort of charts it needs to make with those numbers in the illustration, it knows their brand, it knows there's their voice, their tone. So they can simply just go upload the person's name, email, age, and it will create an entire presentation for them. So they're super easy to make and you can make them for sales, marketing, creative, all sorts of different ways to use skills. I wanna show you this example. So here's a image of my web-based Claude. It says back at it, Jamf. And then that's where you type in a prompt. I've turned on the Gamma connector, so there's all sorts of different third parties you can connect to. Gamma is a really great presentation maker, so I just turned on that switch to Gamma, and then I went ahead and I said, "Hey Claude, can you make something with my Jam presentation skill? I have a presentation and I want you to update it. I want you to keep a few things but change the rest." So it went and it made this entire presentation that you've been looking at. And I think it did a pretty good job, don't you? You can also use Claude skills and Claude connectors to do prospecting. So this is a way to use another third party called Apify. You just go ahead and create an Apify account, you get your API token, and then you go to Claude and say, here's my API token, connect Apify and set up a scraper. And then we could scrape leads from Google Maps for industry in any city. I need name, phone number, website, rating, and review count. And then it'll bring back and give you the warmest prospects first. So an example would be scrape all the hotels in Denver with under 100 Google reviews and a rating between 3.5 and 4.2, and then you would be able to reach out to those properties. So a traditional agency can do a lot of the things that we went over today. They're usually starting at about $5,000 a month, and I know they go up. And you could actually build an AI content engine for about $20 for per subscription. So I actually have it all here. These are the tools that we recommend. So Manus, Claude, Canva. Otter AI, we didn't talk about, but love this for any sort of meeting, whether it's in person or over the web. You can upload your transcript into a Claude skill with a proposal and have proposals out in minutes. And then GoHighLevel is basically your all-in-one business platform. If you haven't seen it yet, check my link in bio because it's awesome. But this has your marketing, your automation platforms, your CRM, and your point of sale system. System. One thing I want to mention is if the product is free, you are the product. So that's something people ask me quite a bit is, can I use ChatGPT for free and are they looking at my conversations? So if you use the free version, they are using your conversations to train their transformers, but that doesn't mean that people are reading your conversations. It's literally zeros and ones going into computers to train computers. So it's not necessarily people are reading it. However, if you have a very proprietary idea or concept and you use a free AI tool, that information will go into training the model and eventually that concept will not be private anymore, depending on how many people query that type of search. So that's how that works. So we wanna make sure we're using secure AI practices. Number one is by having an AI policy. So every company needs to have its own AI policy, whether it's written with HR and a bunch of teams or one person. It needs to establish clear written guidelines on what you can and cannot do and use with AI. We have multiple different policy creation tools at Jamf AI, and I also have an AI policy and governance person that I could bring in if you would like to meet her. We also have tool selection. So you need to decide on specific AI tools for your company and use cases for each. So if you want people to use a specific skill in Claude to do a specific thing, you have to create that SOP and do it. Data hygiene. We want to make sure that you're removing names, credit cards, addresses, and any sort of customer information from your records. And then finally, invest in the enterprise or team plans if you need a SOC 2 compliant platform that is completely separate from the public platform. So if you need help or want to learn about that, come and find me. All right. So how can you get up to speed? We say it's 90 days for a business, 30 days for an individual. So for a business here, we have foundation. We really need to, again, establish those policies, guidelines, select the tools, figure out how you're going to work with them, and then find those time thief moments. So where are you actually losing time? Track your tasks, have your employees track their tasks, look at what they're doing. If you can have them track every 15 to 30 minutes and see what they're doing throughout the day. What in those items and in those tasks could you automate? Integration. This is where we train your team. We launch pilot products. We bring in certain tools and systems to help you save more time. And then expansion, you'll roll out to the rest of your team, you'll roll out more complex workflows, and you'll build custom agents for your unique needs. So where can you learn to do all of this? Well, you can do it in Club Jam. We really recommend this place because nobody wants to learn this together, and you need different types of experts for systems and governance and implementation strategies, and we have everyone here in this community. I have over 20 AI experts that come to do workshops, they do live training events, and you could ask a question in this community at any time and get the answer you're looking for. We also have a bunch of internal courses just to get people up to speed. We do 3 to 4 sessions per week on everything from AI for Canva design to AI systems and automations with N8N. And we have this great community where you could log in and continue to ask questions, learn, and grow. We do have a free week trial if you wanted to use this QR code. I'm not just saying this, we're actually ending the free trial next weekend, so now's a good time to get in. But what I suggest is just pick one thing, pick one pain point and start there. Join our community and commit to 90 days. If you commit to 90 days of at least just learning, you will change the way you work tremendously. All right, well, thank you for having me. If you want to get in touch with me for any sort of consulting work, you can find me at jam@jamout.ai, and you can go ahead and scan this for the slides here today. Have a good one.
