Before presenting, this speaker works out, uses a sauna, meditates on gratitude while imagining success 30 minutes after the event, speaks to their water as a living organism, showers, and watches reality TV to decompress. The routine shifts nervousness into excitement.

I'm trying to become more routine-oriented. So let me tell you how I prepare for like a big presentation, or if I have a keynote or workshop, here are the things I do before. So I feel 100% ready when I get on stage or turn the cameras on. I have 'em written down. See? Okay. So number 1 is like work out and then sit in the sauna. So. I'm not good at sweating and I'm kind of a lazy worker outer, so that's why I need a sauna situation. But I think the big thing is like sweat, like make yourself sweat. And then I meditate, and my meditation is about how I will feel after I'm done with whatever I'm doing and the best possible outcome has happened from that thing. So I envision that 30 minutes after, and I'm like, oh, I'm so grateful, I can't believe this happened, and you know, I met these people, whatever that scenario is that I want to happen, I'll envision it and make myself feel like it already happened. And then this is a fun one, and it's new. I've been talking to my water because I saw a video on how water is alive and it's a living organism, and we're 85% water, and whatever you say to it, you can drink it, and then that message goes into your body and You know what, why not just try that? Doesn't hurt. Water's good for you anyway. So I had to talk with my water and then a shower. And then the most important part is watch like a reality TV show while you get ready or do something that's not related to whatever it is that you're about to do because you should take your mind off of it and chill out. So that's what I do. And I also realized I'm not really nervous anymore. I just get really excited. So hopefully it goes well. And if you are joining me on my SCORE webinar at 11:00 AM Mountain Time today, I'll see you there.
