When you use free AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude, your conversations train their models. If you handle proprietary or sensitive data, pay for a subscription with a privacy option that keeps your content off the training set.

The number one thing I'm asked about is data security when it comes to using free tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and things like that. So I do want you to know that when the product is free, you are the product, meaning all of the conversations that you are having with the model are being used to train the model. Now, that doesn't mean that your competitors can go in and search and say, What did Kelly Fitzgerald just type into ChatGPT about her company? That's not how it works. It's trained, it's using computer language to train those models. People cannot search your specific chats. However, the information that's out there is training the model on how to do things. So if you have a very proprietary system, you may want to think about upgrading and buying an upgraded subscription so that your content is not used to train the model. Hopefully that helps.
