In this YouTube video, Robyn Anderson (presenting as Jam) clarifies the concept of an AI agent for business owners. She argues that by 2027 AI agents will be more essential than websites and distinguishes true AI agents from common automation platforms and "harnesses" like Claude Code, OpenClaw, Hermes, and Codex. Jam defines an AI agent as an organized folder/Markdown file structure enriched with routines and schedules that large language models can access, likening it to a website's file system. She emphasizes the lack of a standard for file organization, advocates using Obsidian to manage these knowledge files, and describes how a well‑structured second‑brain learns from daily business actions. In her consulting workflow, the first step is to help clients organize their content and folder hierarchy before adding any automation or harness. The video concludes with a call to view previous videos, follow the link in her bio, and like/follow the channel.

Are you ready to finally understand what an AI agent is? My name's Jam and I help hundreds of people build AI agents for their businesses. By 2027, it's going to be more important to have an AI agent than a website. So what is an AI agent? You're probably misunderstanding. A lot of people think that an AI agent is like an automation. So it used to be built in N8N or Make.com. Now those are pretty much obsolete because why? What changed? Well, Claude Code, OpenClaw, Hermes, Codex. That's what changed. And what are those? Are those AI agents? No. Those are harnesses. And what they're doing is that they're bringing multiple AI models through for the user to actually build on. So that's still not an AI agent. Jam, what's an AI agent? Honestly, an AI agent is a folder structure. It's Markdown files organized because we found out how powerful all of the large language models are, right? Uh, Fable-5 that came out and was taken away. It's incredibly powerful, but so are all these other models that are being released by ChatGPT, Claude, and all the rest. So, so really an AI agent is an organized file structure that these powerful large language models can access. And then on top of that, we have routines and schedules, and that's what an AI agent actually is. And guess what? A website is exactly the same thing. It's an organized set of MD files that look a certain way. Currently, there's no standard of how we should be organizing our files. However, if you've seen any of my last videos, I'm obsessed with Obsidian. It has made things so much easier for me, and every time I'm done working in Claude or Manus or Hermes, I can have my session that I'm having go back to my file folders, and it then learns from what I did that day. So it's basically like a second brain that's continuing to learn based on my daily actions, because guess what? Every single day we work in our businesses and things change. At this point, really anything that you work on in your business can be handled by an agent if it has a well-structured file that can teach it what to do. In fact, when we work with clients at Jam AI, that's the first thing that we do is help people get organized and understand their file structure before we bring in any sort of automation or agent or harness to that client. So if you own a business and you're thinking of implementing AI in any way, you first have to think about what sort of content you have and what is the folder structure that will allow you to train your agents in the future.
