I know OpenAI didn't consult me about shutting Sora down, but I'm actually really glad they did. I obviously train people on AI, but I know how much consumption of our energy AI takes, and especially AI video. And I always just found Sora as kind of like a laughingstock waste of stuff. Like, why do you have to make a video of you walking a panda down the street? It doesn't matter. And then the legal issues and just kind of the weirdness around misuse of using people's faces and So I'm glad it's gone. Good job. That's finally one thing that ChatGPT has done right recently.
