In this solo YouTube monologue, Robyn Anderson recounts the embarrassing experience of introducing her husband—who had never used AI—to an AI tool, highlighting the frustrations beginners face. She then shares four practical, beginner‑focused tips for getting started with AI: (1) upgrade to a paid/pro version of the model (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) to access full features and faster performance; (2) use a self‑interview prompt that asks the AI to learn about your business, offers, clients, goals, and dreams, effectively making the model a human‑in‑the‑loop; (3) set design standards using Claude’s newly released design feature, where you can input typography, brand colors, logos, voice, tone, and content rules; and (4) connect the AI to Google Drive to enable file access, such as opening pitch decks. She mentions additional recommendations but emphasizes these four as most important. Robyn also promotes a "Zero to Claude" workshop starting May 4th on ClubJam, offering a seven‑day free trial, and invites viewers to comment on their top AI‑starting tip.

My husband does not use AI and I finally got him to try it this weekend, which is a big deal because I teach people how to use AI. I have my keynote speaker on it and he's never touched the thing, but it was actually super embarrassing and a great reminder of what it's like to start in a new account. It's super frustrating. So I wrote down a few tips for those of you who are just starting out in AI and you're like, why is mine not working like theirs? Mine works like a charm, but it's because I've been training it for 3+ years. So here is how I got him started after a frustrating couple hours. Number 1, upgrade to the pro version. Whether you're on Claude or ChatGPT or whatever, you need to upgrade because you get all the features and functionality in that upgraded version. And then also it works faster. I don't know if that's true, but it was working so slow. We have the same computer. And yeah, it was much slower on the free version. Number 2, I share this prompt in every keynote and webinar I do, but have it interview you. Say something like, I want to be the human in the loop while you're running my business. Ask me about my, my offers, my services, my clients, my dreams, my goals. Get it to really understand who you are and what your business does. Set design standards. So Claude, this is a paid feature. It just released the design feature, and if you go into design, you can text, you can put in your typography, your brand colors, your logos, your voice, your tone, your what to say, what do not say, put in all of those rules. And then finally, connect it to your Google Drive as a minimum. If you don't want it in your email yet, that's fine, but definitely put it in your Google Drive because, We were trying to make a pitch deck for him and I couldn't even open it in Google Drive because it wasn't connected. So do those 4 things to get started. And there's a ton of other things I would recommend as well, but those 4 things are probably the most important. We are doing a Zero to Claude workshop in ClubJam. We start on May 4th, so check the link in my bio and you can sign up for 7 days for free. So, okay, hopefully I see you in the club, but put your comment below. What is the number one thing you think everyone should do when starting their AI account?
