Robyn Anderson shows how to turn on Claude's memory feature, which most people skip. Go to Settings, toggle on "search and reference chats" and "generate memory from chat history," and Claude will remember your past conversations in an MD file.
I can't believe how many people don't turn this setting on. So if you don't have this setting on, every time you use Claude, it doesn't remember the conversation you had before. So if you find yourself repeating yourself and telling it over and over again who you are and what you do, you most likely don't have this setting on. So I'm in the Claude web browser version, and you're just gonna open up your settings right here, and you'll hit settings, and then you're gonna go over to capabilities. And there's this whole section called memory. Just toggle this on. That's all you have to do is toggle this on. And you want both of these, search and reference chats and generate memory from chat history. So this is something where it'll actually update the MD file, which is basically like a little log of information that Claude keeps on you based on your conversations. If you have the desktop version, It's the same thing except for you'll find this in privacy. So make sure you either click on privacy or capabilities depending on if you're using the browser version or the desktop version. Okay, well that was it.
