Robyn Anderson built a custom CRM with Mocha AI to replace expensive software subscriptions. It tracks contractors, payments, and sales by product with an orange Apple-style design. She used ChatGPT to write the prompt and now encourages other small-business owners to build their own internal apps instead of paying for multiple services.

Nobody tells you that when you start a business, you also need to get subscriptions to like a hundred different apps to track your finances, your build your website, create your marketing. Like things can get really expensive, really quick. And that's where AI is coming in. Especially this year in 2026, there's some amazing tools where you can actually build and customize your own internal business apps. So I'm using Mocha AI today to build my custom CRM. I'm pretty much a solopreneur, but I do have a couple contractors and I was looking at different CRMs and there just weren't any that were perfect for what I need. So I learned about mocha and I was like, oh, let's build my own. So let me show you what I built with Mocha. First things first. I really like to use ChatGPT to help me build my CRM prompt for Mocha. So I explained my situation here and then it gave me these Vibe code instructions. I went to get Mocha AI. If you haven't heard of this, my link in Bio has a free community where I have lists of all of the amazing AI tools and mochas in there. So I went there and then I just pasted in the prompt and then I'll show you what happened next. So I just pasted in that prompt and then I said, build my custom CRM according to the instructions below, design it in the style of Apple products and use orange tones and pop ins for the font. All right, here it is. Look how cute. Completely customized for what I needed to do. It has my two contractors, what I owe them and what they've done every month, sales by product. I'm going to go fill this out and then I'm not going to show it to you because it's private. So anyways, just go build something. We don't have to wait around or subscribe to a million things anymore. All right, see you later.
