A YouTube video by James Sinclair (uploaded May 14, 2023) where the speaker notes frequent messages from aspiring founders asking what to do next and where to focus (often fixating on fundraising). The speaker proposes a community-format: live sessions where someone pitches an idea and the group collaboratively examines the idea, problem, solution, and strategy to provide actionable feedback.

I get a fairly consistent flow of DMs and emails from startup founders or people with full time jobs who are thinking about quitting and becoming founders, who want to talk about what is the next thing they should be doing. Like they've got this idea, they think it's a great idea, what is the strategy, what are the next few steps, where should they focus? Very often they believe it's all around this milestone of fundraising. It's not, that's fine. But the call ends up being product solutions, solution, market problem focused as opposed to anything else. And I wondered if it'd be valuable to the community as a community, if actually we did a live and someone comes in, talks about their idea and we just flesh it out for as long as it takes. Is this a great idea? What is the idea? What is your solution? How might you approach it? Is it a bad idea? Do you need to go back to the drawing board? Is the problem statement to go on, but your solution a bad one? Would you benefit from having other skills or learning something else first? Anyone have any interest in that?
