If you're a startup founder, maybe not today, but you will need an advisory board at some point. You will need a team of people around you to mentor you as a founder, to coach you as an individual, to help you with your industry, with your solution, with your focus, with your customers, with success. You will need generalists and specialists on an advisory board who can help you scale, provide the introductions, be the reference check, be the name that you can drop in your investor meetings or your prospect meetings. You might not need those people today, but you will do not wait until you need advisors to start finding advisors. Start building that relationship right now. Start reaching out to people that you know are going to be able to help you and are going to be of value to your mission and your business. Start now. Introduce yourself. Touch base. Touch base with them every 30 days. Do something to keep some constant relationship with them. So when you do need them and you do need to make that ask, you're not doing it cold. Good luck.
