James Sinclair (YouTuber) addresses SaaS founders with direct sales advice: make it extremely easy for prospects to find pricing and contact you (avoid gating with forms or SDR qualification), avoid treating personalization and templated outbound together, and treat subscriptions as an outcome of delivering exceptional product/value rather than as the primary objective.

SaaS founder, you need to stop funnel fucking your customers. And here's what I mean by that. If they come to your website, you need to make pricing and everything as transparent as possible so you can get all the information they need as quickly as possible. If they want to get in contact with you, you need to make it so easy and so quick. You certainly don't want to disqualify or qualify your leads via an online form. You certainly don't need an SDR to follow up or phone the prospect to determine if they're worthy or not to speak to a sales rep. Just. Just make it simple. Second, if you're doing outbound bdr, just remember that templates and personalization can't exist in the same sentence. And finally, subscription is an outcome. It's not an objective. You're not in the business of working out. How do we get more people to subscribe? Or how do we force them to put in a credit card? It's the other way round. Your objective is deliver incredible software, deliver incredible value, make it epic, make them want to subscribe as an outcome. And if you look at subscriptions and outcome, it changes your entire view. Good luck.
