Cold investor emails are way more common. Not as scary as you think they are. If your solution and if you can stand up to the test, there's three kind of investors when it comes to cold emails. All the way on the left, Marc Andreessen. He only wants startups coming to him through warm referral because he believes it shows you are a good networker. You have perseverance skills that he believes you're going to need to sell, get customers, recruit. And so his qualification barrier is warm intro. I disagree. Seems to be working just fine for him. In the middle, you've got people that go either way. Their websites allow the cold intros. They do put their information out, they make themselves available. And then all the way to the right, you've got like Dell Johnson, who wrote an article, or Harry Stebbings, who there was an article like 4 years ago where he basically said, I want the outliers, I want the entrepreneurs that don't have San Francisco in their blood, I want the incredible creators, I want the people out of my network. And the only way I can do that is by opening my dms, publishing my email and saying, I want to hear from you. So if you're raising money, go to the right.
