This is a short transcript excerpt from a YouTube video "Behind the scenes of MTV EUROPE" (uploaded by James Laughlin) featuring Brent Hansen. Hansen recalls being passionate about music from early childhood, interviewing artists including David Bowie and David Byrne, and reflects critically on business culture—saying many businesses don't truly believe in their products, can be ruthless, and describing a personal crisis about not fitting the 'alpha male' archetype. The excerpt ends with a mention that "NTB wrote to me when I arrived in London."

I've been passionate about music since I was probably five or six years old. I thought, who's Brett Hanson? I interviewed David Bowie, I interviewed David Byrne, you know, lots of really interesting artists. I just went out of my way to make sure that happened. I had to find the enemy. Now I'm dealing with the monster.
All too often, businesses don't actually believe in the product that they're pushing. They were also incredibly ruthless. I knew I wasn't a kind of alpha male type person. I was not qualified that that was a crisis that could have sunk your business. And NTB wrote to me when I arrived in London, they said.
