A brief YouTube interview clip where Speaker B asks Chris Hipkins a hypothetical: imagining it is his last day on Earth, what advice he would give a young person he cares deeply about about living life on purpose. The exchange frames a mortality-based prompt to elicit values and life guidance.
Fast forward many, many years into the future.
You're highly aware it's your last day here on Earth.
And someone very young.
Walks into the room that you care.
Deeply about, and.
They say, chris, how.
Do I lead my life? On purpose? What advice would you give them?
Know your own values. Know the things that are important to you and live true to those. Because life will throw all sorts of things at you. You can't control what life throws at you. I mean, you can control the situations that you put yourself into sometimes, and sometimes you can't, actually. But if you know what your values are, then actually that'll determine how you respond to all of these things that happen to you.
