Dan, a huge welcome to the Lead on Purpose podcast.
I need to make a confession at the outset here.
Well, your book drive came out literally at the perfect time.
The idea that people don't care about money or status or power is nonsense. Of course they do.
Your latest book, the Power of Regret.
When I look back, like many people, I had regrets. It's arguably the most common negative emotion.
That human beings have.
And I discovered that everybody wanted to talk about regrets. I love lacerating self criticism. I'm very good at lacerating self stuff. I criticism. You're pathetic. You're weak. You're a terrible. Oh my God, I'm the worst person in the world. I'm just a wretched human being. I'm so horrible. We want to essentially look the devil in the eye.
I regretted the lack of probably love that I showed. It was a horrible place. I pissed off with myself. It's pathetic.
Really plug my ears and say, no regrets. Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope.
I imagine someone who writes a book on regret has some motivation to do that because they've got regrets of their own. What are some of those things that.
