A narrated anecdote (by Speaker A) recounts Lt. Jason Redmond’s leadership during a 2007 SEAL Team 10 deployment in central Ramadi. During a targeted operation the team walked into a preplanned ambush; Redmond was wounded (hit seven times across face, neck, chest, arms, legs) but continued to lead, walked unaccompanied to the medevac helicopter with a severely injured arm (dangling by a tendon at the elbow), and checked accountability for his teammates.
