A short YouTube interview clip hosted by James Laughlin featuring a guest who discusses expectations, ego, and their connection to the CIA. The host asks the guest to explain what the CIA is and what their role there was; the guest responds with a comment about inflated egos and not imagining that path for themselves.
When my team came across your book and like James, I think you might want to see this.
That is not what I imagined for myself. Everyone's puffing up their chest. Everyone wants to be the biggest brain and the biggest, the most important voice and all of this stuff. Some egos are just too big.
What is the CIA and what was your role there?
You know, it's spies, it's martinis, Aston Martins, you know, high paced, high speed stuff. But immediately I thought, holy shit, we're under attack. No amount of trading can really prepare you for that moment. Everything sucks. Nothing is worth it. Why is everything working against me? I would just be angry and frustrated, pissed off at the world. You gotta suck it up, buttercup, and just keep on going. That is where the magic happens. Do not let other people infect your choices. What everybody else is doing is pretty much largely irrelevant.
