A brief YouTube monologue by James Laughlin in which he poses a future 'last day on Earth' thought experiment: a young child asks how to live life on purpose. Laughlin's distilled advice is concise and prescriptive: "Make a plan. Life by design doesn't happen by accident." The clip emphasizes intentional life planning and purposeful living.

I want us to fast forward way into the future. Many, many years. Last day here on Earth, you know it's your last day. Yep. And a very young person who you just love, they're maybe seven, eight years old, and they come into the room and they say, michael, I really want to know how to lead my life on purpose. What would you have to say to them? Or ask them? Make a plan. Life by design doesn't happen by accident. That's it. Make a plan.
