A brief conversational segment from a YouTube video where host James Laughlin asks whether people should avoid AI. The guest argues that avoiding AI is risky because AI adoption is effectively unavoidable: nation-states and large investments are driving rapid, large-scale deployment, making AI a growing, steamroller-like force with increasing impact on life.

AI. Some want to avoid it, some are curious, some want to engage deeply. For those that are keen to avoid it and just do nothing with it, what's the risk there?
Well, I think it's really unavoidable at this point. There's a really interesting question that was asked me recently, which was like, are we in AI bubble? And the thing is, I don't think we're in AI bubble because literally nation states are investing, going all in on AI because they believe it's existential. And so the amount of resources that AI is accumulating and getting invested is just nothing, almost almost nothing prior in history, maybe the build out of the Internet. And and so it's it's a steamroller that is only gaining momentum in terms of resource allocation investments. And so it's going to be it's already pretty unavoidable today, and it's only going to increase in its impact on life.
