Short excerpt from a YouTube video by James Laughlin in which the speaker recounts being raised by and mentored by entrepreneurs (including a year in New Zealand) and asserts that successful entrepreneurs grow by empowering others to help execute their ideas.
I was raised by a guy who was an entrepreneur. I spent a year in New Zealand with an entrepreneur and the guy that actually caught my fancy and gave me a blank slate for a potential career. True. Cathy was an entrepreneur. And entrepreneurs, the good ones, learn how to take their idea, and if they really wanted to grow, they learn how to empower other people to help them do it. And that's the kind of guy he was.
