This is a short excerpt from a YouTube video in which Speaker A defines leadership as doing the right thing particularly when it is hard, and emphasizes that leadership can come from people without formal titles or credentials. The speaker contrasts easy-time actions with difficult decisions as the moment leadership is demonstrated.
Leadership is about doing the right thing, especially when it's the hard thing. Right? Anybody can lead when times are easy, right? It's when times get tough or when you need to do something that is going to be tough for either a group of people or for the company itself, that real leadership is, is demonstrated, I think. So it's like doing the hard, doing the right thing when it's the hard thing. And the thing about that, that I just want to add is sometimes those things are done by a person with some kind of leadership title and credentials. But often it's done by people who have no title or credentials. It's still leadership. Doesn't matter.
