This is a YouTube video titled "UNCOVERED: The Secret to EPIC culture..." created on December 3, 2023, discussing leadership and company culture, emphasizing simplicity and genuine care, with examples like National Pizza Day and acknowledging mistakes.
In terms of creating a culture, the most simplest you can define what leadership stands for is super important. People need to be able to understand it. And I was lucky enough to be partnered with a guy called Mark King, who was the president at the time. And he was outstanding at rallying people around common purposes, but he also was outstanding making things simple. And one of our most important values was genuine care. It was that simple. How did you bring it to life? Just live it. And there was a lot of small things, just random stuff. National Pizza Day. All of a sudden, there's hundreds of pizzas at the campus, walking the office, walking the floor, saying hello, having fun, acknowledging mistakes and it's okay to fail, making sure that people knew that leaders were real.
