A short YouTube monologue (by James Laughlin) observing that people naturally fall into comfortable routines and take life for granted. The speaker uses conversational, sometimes blunt metaphors (e.g., a "countdown" that is "not going up, it's going down") to motivate viewers to act now on bucket-list items rather than postponing them.

The experience of being alive is that we love to get comfortable and get into sort of easy routines and we take life for granted and we come by that honestly. So I never want to be the one, you know, sitting here on my, I don't know, soapbox in a graveyard, you know, bitching and moaning at us for how we do take life for granted. Because this is not an admonishment. This is about like, oh, guys, like, look what we do naturally. Wow. I mean, I wish we didn't, but we do. And so what can we do to just sort of gently bring ourselves back? Or maybe not gently. Maybe it is a bit of an abrupt poke in the ribs to say, oh, no, honey, you got it. Like your countdown is. It's not going up, it's going down. And can that be the motivator for you to maybe do some of the things that are on your bucket list now rather than later?
