Most of us could green our own personal footprint by tomorrow night. Wow. How can we do that? We can go online and change our super. We can decide to become involved in supporting a local charity that supports some sort of broader environmental good. We can change our diet, we can change the way we decide to travel tomorrow. You don't have to get in the car. You could cycle to work or work from home, which is of course more and more of a reality. You can go online and go to your electricity provider and decide to opt into green power rather than a normal suite of fossil fuel based energy that doesn't require changing energy, any of the poles and wires to your house. It's just a choice that you've made that all the power you use in your house has now got to be derived from renewable energy. You can make all of those decisions and those things collectively. How you travel, what you eat, how your house is powered, how you invest your money, and whether you choose to engage in a local environmental cause.
