A short motivational YouTube video by James Laughlin urging high performers to protect against burnout by following the MEDS mnemonic: Meditation, Exercise, Diet, and Sleep. Laughlin instructs viewers to rate themselves 1–10 in each area over the past month, pick the lowest-scoring area, and schedule small daily improvements rather than large, time-consuming changes.

Whatever you do, make sure you take your meds. Yes, I'm telling you to take your meds. And no, I'm not your doctor. But what I mean by this is when high performers are operating at high levels and doing lots of things, often they move towards burnout or anxiety or exhaustion. By taking your meds, you're doing four simple things. One, incorporating meditation into your day, some mindfulness. Two, some exercise, some physical movement. The D stands for diet, looking at what you're consuming and drinking, and the S stands for sleep. What I'm going to challenge you to do right now, give yourself a score, 1 to 10 in each of those four areas. Meditation, exercise, diet, and sleep. Which one in the last month scored the lowest? That one. I want you to work on this month and think, what could I do to do a little bit more? I'm not asking you to do an hour a day, but tiny little changes done daily will produce incredible, sublime results over time. So whatever one it is, I want you to schedule it. What gets scheduled gets done.
