Hi everyone, I'm Dr. Jane Yoo, board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon. Today I want to talk to you about Astura, which is the number one dermatologist-recommended skincare brand in Korea for sensitive skin. And they're officially launching their A-Cica 365 collection in the US very soon. Astura is known for its dermatology-driven research and formulations designed specifically for reactive, redness-prone, and compromised skin. Let's start with Astura A-Cica 365 Soothing Repair Cream pH 4.5. This cream is formulated for sensitive skin with visible redness and barrier imbalance. The key technology here is pH 4.5 Cica, which is Astura's proprietary Cica Complex. Cica, short for Centella Asiatica, is a botanical ingredient commonly used in dermatology for its soothing and skin repairing properties. And in this formula, it's designed to help calm irritation while maintaining a mildly acidic skin environment. Sensitive skin tends to have a higher pH, which weakens the barrier and allows irritants to penetrate more easily. So restoring that pH balance is critical. This formula also highlights Panthenol, which supports barrier repair improves hydration, and helps calm irritation. Together, this cream is designed to visibly reduce the appearance of red skin tone, support barrier recovery, and keep skin balanced and comfortable for sensitive skin types. Next are the Astura A-Cica 365 Cooling Relief Pads. These pads are also formulated with pH 4.5 cica, but what makes them unique is a cooling-enhancing fabric which is designed to rapidly lower skin temperature without relying on menthol or harsh cooling ingredients. They're pre-soaked with an essence containing Centella Asiatica and are meant to quickly soothe redness, cool overheated or reactive skin, and rebalance skin pH. The pads are especially helpful after sun exposure, exercise, or whenever skin feels hot and irritated. They can be used as a gentle toner step after cleansing or applied like a quick calming pack for a few minutes to help reduce redness and support the skin barrier. Astura also offers the A-Cica 365 Soothing Relief Serum pH 4.5, which uses the same pH 4.5 Cica Technology but highlights niacinamide as a key ingredient. Niacinamide helps strengthen the skin barrier, improve uneven skin tone, and support overall skin resilience. Making this serum a great option for sensitive skin that also struggles with redness and barrier disruption. Overall, the A-Cica 365 line is focused on calming visible redness, restoring the barrier function, and maintaining a healthy, mildly acidic skin environment, making it a strong option for anyone with sensitive or reactive skin.
