Two speakers argue that 55 million U.S. public school kids need engagement beyond traditional support structures. Many lack stable families or teacher attention, so the solution is meeting them where they already are: on phones and social media with fun, compelling learning experiences.
I'm a scale guy. I like these big hairy challenges because I recognize the power of scale.
Yeah.
And with 55 million public school kids, there's no excuse. Right.
We have the scale. Ripples through. Completely. Timeless ripples.
Yeah. Wouldn't that be awesome?
Yeah. And most of these kids, they don't have teachers to look up to, and a lot of them don't have parents to look up to. So they have nothing to look up to except for the things they see online.
Well, that becomes some of the excuses. Well, the problem is the parents, you know, we've got broken families and we don't have the household. And you know what? We're never going to fix that stuff. Stuff in our lifetime, but you can still reach the kids where they live. Exactly. Which is on their phones.
Yeah.
And in social media. Yeah.
And you can make it more engaging, you can make it more fun, you can make it more exciting, you can make an experience that spits them out into the world as much better people than they are today.
