A MrBeast producer describes the 100-million-subscriber milestone video where they gave away an island. Over 100 contestants flew to one location, transferred to another spot on the same island, took a tiny 8-10 person plane to a neighboring island, then endured a 45-minute boat ride to reach the final destination. When all 100 people arrived, the producer called it a "holy shit" moment.
What was your first experience with MrBeast where you're like, holy shit, this is crazy? Jimmy was approaching 100 million subscribers and he was going to give away an island to his 100 millionth subscriber. And so he had a bunch of contestants who were going to play on the island that they were going to win. To get to this island, fly to one location. Then we had to fly to another location on that same island. Then we had to fly a small plane that only fit like 8 to 10 people to this other island. Then we had to get in a boat and we had to go boat 45 minutes to the island, to the location. 100 100 people had to do that. And just like being there with 100 people when it finally happened and being like, holy shit, this is everything I dreamed of.
