The speaker talks about a conversation with Kevin at a screening of his final film, Home Team, exploring how purpose isn't about leaving a legacy but about knowing God, recognizing your gifts, and following your calling. Most people don't understand their talents or why they exist, the speaker argues, and life is a test that shows what you're made of.
Kevin, hope he doesn't get mad at me saying this, but we were at a movie, Home Team, his last movie, and we were sitting there and I was frustrated about something. He looked at me, he goes, man, what's the problem? What's going on? Just frustrated about something, man. What's your purpose? And I started getting a little frustrated. I'm like, it's to leave a legacy and do this and that. That's not your purpose. Your purpose is to know and love God and then understand what he's given you and then pursue that. It's that simple. And that's where people fall short. They don't know what either they're good at, why they're here. Most people don't even know why they're alive. And it's all a test. It's how you can identify how you're feeling and then cope with those situations.
