Someone who trained with Jake Paul in his fight camps describes sparring sessions that left him with a broken nose and ripped gum. He trained alongside Ben Askren, Tyrone Woodley, and Mike Perry, and says Paul has a devastating uppercut and serious work ethic.
What do you think about Jake Paul? I've had 4 fight camps with Jake. I've done some rounds with him back when he fought Ben Askren. He actually broke my nose, ripped my gum off the first time I sparred him. And then my first proper fight camp with him was with Tyrone Woodley. Then I worked with him for Andre August, the dude he hit with an uppercut. And I remember he was drilling that uppercut. He missed me with that in the gym a few times. Bro, he threw that shit from South London, mate. Wham! And I remember brushing past me, span out, and I was like, yo, bro, that would've knocked my head off.
Like, what the fuck?
And then after that, I helped him with the Mike Perry fight. Mike Perry fights in bare knuckle, short like myself, very similar stature, moves similar. I'm a way better boxer than Perry, don't get me wrong, but it gave them the best look for them to prepare. People talk about YouTubers stuff all the time. It's like he's got like a full gym, full trainers, and he does really put the work in.
