Karin Safarova on Living with Monks, Building Habits, and the Rollercoaster of Life.

In this in‑depth interview, Karina Safarova (also spelled Karin) shares her journey from a Ukrainian refugee to a wellness coach and preventive‑medicine practitioner. She describes how living with monks, practicing Vipassana meditation, and exploring ayahuasca shaped her mindset and habit‑building philosophy. The conversation emphasizes the power of micro‑habits—short, intentional breaks for breathwork, push‑ups, or mindfulness cues— and how they compound into lasting well‑being. Karina explains her practice of giving small gifts and compliments, noting the reciprocal flow of positive energy that sustains relationships, especially during the war when her home became a refuge for many. She discusses concrete coaching tools such as setting Apple‑watch reminders for 3 PM breathwork, integrating micro‑dosing of mushrooms as a healthier alternative to alcohol, and encouraging clients to embed brief physical activity throughout the day. The interview also explores the importance of teachers and mentors, advocating for daily mindfulness education in schools to create ripple effects in society. Karina outlines her long‑term vision: building a community‑focused movement of high‑mindeds, a membership‑style network, and eventually a retreat center where people can heal and grow. She directs listeners to her Instagram for books, free 15‑minute consultations, mastermind sessions, and other coaching programs, emphasizing openness, love, and the continual exchange of energy as core to her work.

Opportunity is everywhere, everywhere. But very important is feeling well. And feeling well is a strategy. How you feel today, it's the result what you did yesterday.
Yeah.
There is no magic pill, right? Yes, there is. Like you can take Adderall or you can take some drug, of course, you will be in Wonderland.
It's the equal and opposite negative effect.
Yes, but then you're going to have the worst withdrawal, you know, like it's not worth it.
Right.
You should always, you know, I'm for long term, right? Like, I do things what only can, you know, it working like for the future. So feeling well is a strategy.
All right, so we start to get into some of the juicy details. When I first got connected with you last week, but I wanted to save a lot of it for this conversation because I, you know, I was really interested to hear your journey over here from Ukraine. I was— I wanted to hear more about that because that sounds like quite a crazy story, but I didn't want to spoil it. So let's start there. Tell me about the journey to the US.
Thank you, and thank you for having me today as a guest on your show.
Of course, my pleasure.
Well, my journey is, uh, like a roller coaster, to be honest, but It's kind of story of awakening. And with my story, I show people the evidence of what is possible. And my world is world of no excuses. So I came to United States 2 years ago as a refugee when war in Ukraine started. I came from Mexico straight to Miami. Yes. And I remember Those days, they were full of despair. Like, I was frustrated because I lost my father before the war started and I lost all my business. I have my own wellness clinic center and rehab where I make people healthy, when I save their lives. And, but I think through challenges we grow and bad times, they create strong people. So I came here and I was surprised that so many friends wanted to help me and so many people, they were ready to open their doors for me. And I came here to chase my dreams. So I never felt myself miserable because life is not about playing a victim. Life is not about judging or demanding or blaming someone. I never blamed Russia. I never blamed— I was always happy. I was excited. I was like, wow, now it's time to make my dreams true. So I came here. I was super excited.
How did you transcend the feelings of fear and loss into excitement? Because so many people live and they have micro problems compared to losing a business and having to move, and they're overwhelmed, focused on those problems so much. Right. Yours trump a lot of people's small problems, and people still live in that state of scarcity and fear. How do you transcend that energy?
From pain to purpose. This is amazing. So in pain, you can find the deepest person purpose. And I would say I see everywhere as an opportunity. Even when you are in a very, very dark place, it might be the beginning of the most interesting journey. Because what happened to me, it brought me so much awareness, so much new, how to say, totally different attitude, new values, new— it was like massive shift in my mindset because In one second, all changed, you know. And I was very, very mindful. I remember like first 3 months I was on the ocean meditating, thinking, because I always use questions in my work. I'm logotherapist and I say, okay, I'm here. What can I do? Who I can ask? What can I read? How I can be valuable? How I can be useful? And it's so funny, you know, your micro problems, like you said to me. So people blame, you know, so many things. Like I came here with my only suitcase. I didn't have Social Security number. I didn't have anything, like no credit history, no friends, no family, by myself. And already in 2 months, I already started making money. I didn't have employment permit yet. So I was like consulting, coaching, doing yoga, you know, and doing online sessions with my clients from London. And they told me like, Karina, oh my God, how you make it? Like, you are so happy. You lost everything. Like, your life is like roller coaster. But yeah, I woke up every day. I remember I Slept in Airbnb, like in hotels. I didn't have a place. Even I couldn't rent apartment because I had no history. I had no— and it's such a headache to rent apartment in Florida. They need all like your history, referrals. You need to pay upfront. So I woke up every morning, opened my eyes, and like I've been thinking, okay, where I am today?
And when you first wake up in that situation, are you immediately flooded with the thoughts of fear? And then do you have to ask yourself questions to get away from them?
This one more technique I use.
Okay.
I always wake up excited, set the tone for the day.
Yeah.
I have my own mastery tool. And even when I woke up in R&B apartment without kitchen, I remember I've been washing my clothes, like buying sandwiches and enjoying juice. And, um, I woke up excited. I was like, okay, today I'm going to meet this person. I'm going to call someone. I'm going to go to the ocean. I will create. I will record new meditation. I will make still people happy. And I woke up every time, every day, excited. Every day.
So how does someone wake up excited, though, when they're in those circumstances?
You have to create things you look forward to, like, you know, baby for Christmas. The problem of many people that they do not have excitement in their life. Even super rich, wealthy people, they do not have excitement. I have my client from London. He's like always unhappy, flying on private jet, having like buying second boat, always unhappy. Like, and so this is the problem of people. They have no excitement. They have no enjoyment, no, this joy of living. And So it is very easy. You just need to create things you look forward to.
Yeah, but I feel like even from my own life, I, if I listed out everything good and everything bad, there's probably 10 times more good things than bad things. But I noticed my attention focusing on the bad things more often, which changed my energy. So is it, is it a constant kind of conscious reminder to yourself, or are there actions you take that remind you, or do you give yourself space to remember to focus on the exciting things? Like, how do you actually— because it's one thing to understand that, but it's another thing to actually do that and focus on the excitement. How do you actually remember to focus on the exciting things?
Because I feel my day only with exciting things. I don't focus on bad things. Yeah, I don't focus on things I cannot change, because if I cannot change something, even bad things. I can change the way I feel, the way I react. And there are some special, you know, you questioning yourself, is it good for me? What is genuinely good for me? Why should I be like stressed or worried? All people, they tend to overthinking, and overthinking kills happiness, right? It's just, it makes no sense to be worried about something what has not happened yet because you're already making projections. Like, you know, I'm also NLP coach, so you can program your mind for whatever you want.
So it kind of ties into a lot of spiritual practices that have been throughout human history.
You want to talk about my spiritual journey?
Yeah, I would love to, because I think, you know, when you talk about quieting your mind, right, or not overthinking, it's just, it's the especially in today's day and age where there's so many things that pull your attention away and cause your mind to attach to comparing yourself to other people on social media or feeling like you're missing out on things. There's things that trigger your mind. So it's like, how do you not overthink? Or maybe it ties into your spiritual journey. Let's talk about that for a few minutes.
I can talk about this for hours. I'm very spiritual person. That's why I work with physical and emotional and spiritual transformation. But it took me years to learn to automatically to think, you know, to see this glass half full and only with clean water. Because I did Vipassana and I lived in Kopan Monastery with monks.
Oh wow.
Where you keep silence. So you're normally, you are not talking.
Yeah.
And then it was amazing experience. Amazing. Absolutely.
Where did you live with the monks?
Kopan Monastery in Kathmandu, Nepal. So I went there for 25 days.
It's amazing.
And you are not allowed to speak. So the only thing you're doing is waking up at 5 AM because your pituitary gland is working very good on the sunrise. So you need to wake up before sun rising. And then you start praying, meditating, and only listening your thoughts. So it was amazing experience. I stopped wanting things there. I got this feeling of gratitude. I was so whole, full of love, of gratitude, of unconditional love. First 3 days was like challenging because I wanted to call, I wanted to check, to scroll my Instagram. But then you reach this level like, wow. Wow. Like, I'm so full. I'm so whole. I'm like, I— well, we have that inside of us, but it's clouded by all the things of us. We have everything.
It's all there.
It's all there.
Most people can't seem to find that. They seem to think, I need to get this thing, I need to go buy this house or find this relationship or something before I could feel this.
Yes, because again, uh, when I do rapid transformational therapy, 3 questions. Am I lovable? Am I good enough? And am I good enough? It's social media because people think they're not good enough. We didn't have Instagram before. We didn't have social media. And we were, I think we only need to be focused on self-improvement, but what is genuinely good for us. For your body, for your soul, not for, you know, to prove something to your neighbor or to your parents. So you need to listen to your body, and that's only questioning.
Yeah, I, my— I seem to think, and there's many different kind of spiritual philosophies, but I, whenever I think about myself, I think of my mind or my ego and then my soul and my true self, and it's You know, most of the time I'm living in my mind, but when I can live from my soul, I seem to feel much more radiant and happy, and it seems like things around me happen better.
And—
but it's a battle. So, and the main battle I think is with social media. I think that's the thing that pulls, at least for me, pulls my attention away from my soul. So what's the healthy relationship with social media? How do you exist using social media but not—
you need to watch who you follow, and you need to follow only people you can learn from them. You can make your life more quality, you can become more knowledgeable. And this kind of people— very simple example, just go to my account and look who I follow. So I follow very interesting, incredible people, and I don't spend a lot of time watching the whole day. But learning is a key and be careful who you listen and what you read. Like life is about people you mix with and books you read and what you also— now we have this era of podcasts. So also what are you listening to?
Right.
Yeah.
So I do want to circle back to the Vipassana, to the monastery.
Yes. Yeah.
You know, I know you're there for 25 days. You mentioned it took 3 days to kind of get past that hump of 3 days or very like Complicated.
Yeah, challenging. And you also, you know, you want to replace this with maybe some food. Our body needs dopamine.
Right.
Because I'm also very good in hormones. Happy hormones. They give you only rice and water.
Wow.
So you don't have even some spices.
So there's nothing to give you dopamine aside from yourself.
Nothing. You keep diet and you keep diet before. So it's kind of not just spiritual diet, it's diet in your life, in your sexual life. You just become like saint, so pure and pure like this bottle of water. And your thoughts become— So I started thinking for purpose. I started praying for purpose. And then I started, when I came back to London, I started speaking for purpose. My career went super successful because I had massive shift in my mindset, how I speak, how I think, and just questioning myself.
Do you think that that time period at the monastery was a pivotal, pivotal thing for you?
It's cleaning. It's also cleaning your neurons. And, you know, you literally, you become, you create new chains in your head because it's very good to wake up early.
Yeah.
Your serotonin, dopamine works better and you build like new, you reinvent yourself. It's good to go there, not just for someone who is looking for self-improvement or self-development. It's good for all people. I think everybody should try this, especially those who tend to overthinking, who are full of anxiety. But some people would never make it.
But we have this beautiful essence inside of us that that sometimes we don't even remember we have. So it seems like going to something like that shows you a path to find that.
Some people go because it's fashionable, like to say someone like, oh my God, I did Vipassana. You know, some people do this because it's like trendy. It's not trendy anymore to go to Mykonos and Monaco and Dubai, for example. Now it's like very super successful people, they go for spiritual journey. They do not invest into fancy vacations. Like I say to my clients and my students, do not invest into fancy vacations. Invest into relationships. Invest into your development.
Yeah, we actually, we didn't end up doing it, my wife and I, because, you know, she got pregnant. But we discussed going on a honeymoon to a silent retreat for a few days.
Yes.
And then going and traveling afterwards just to kind of decompress from. Because even exciting and fun things like a wedding, it's like sometimes you just need to get back to center. So how would you—
to connect and disconnect?
If you're coaching someone and they don't have 25 days to go do something like this, how do they disconnect? Or it doesn't have to be quick, but what's your prescription for someone to start to quiet the mind?
What is the deadline? I always ask because I have very different clients, some of them very complicated. Like some of them really, I have many clients with addictions as well who's doing, they're very wealthy people who thinks that, you know, quick fix. Like why I should go for a spiritual quest if I can fix my life with doing a line or taking Xanax or Adderall, for example. Nobody wants to go deep. And I'm like a doctor, always give prescription and give new strategy. We change immediately. The method of immediately changing something. So you need to change immediately your habits, your— how your day looks like, how you wake up, what's the first thing you do in the morning, perhaps your diet, sometimes your friends, your environment. So this method is really working. Like you build completely new system. It takes also some time. But if it's really urgent situation, hypnosis and NERT. I can do hypnosis. It takes 20 minutes, but you see yourself from the side. Wow. Like you see what you're doing wrong, what you should stop doing, what you should start doing. And it's very interesting technique. It's very like deep, deep, deep. And some people, they're looking for ayahuasca, like this psychedelic plant. I also did ayahuasca. I tried everything, you know, to create the best life-changing programs. To make it work. I even, I will not deny, I tried all the drugs in the world. Because when I studied neurophysiology in London, It was for me interesting, like how our brains work, like why people want to become high.
Right.
And how the drug can make you high. Why should I take drugs if I can make high myself from nice playlist, from sports, from sex, from something like really good.
That's good for you.
So that was my subject of my research. So, but I wanted to try on myself.
So I have a few different directions I want to go in, but I do want to go back to the habits for a moment.
Habits is interesting.
Yeah, and people listening are gonna say, all right, I understand I need to change my habits. And there's different types of personas. I'd like to talk about two different kind of personas and see what you think, you know, would be good for different types of people. Let's first talk about someone who has created success in life and they have everything. But they don't have joy and they don't have happiness. For whatever reason, they feel like they're lacking something. What are some things that they can implement into their lives, whether it's getting up earlier or a morning routine or exercise, whatever it may be? What are some things, some tools that people can take and apply to their lives to find more of that peace and joy?
Implementing new habits and new hobbies, new physical activities. Like, I highly recommend box.
Boxing.
Boxing. Because it's not because you want to lose weight or become fit. Boxing is good for your concentration.
Yeah.
For your mindfulness.
Yeah, I did that right here.
It makes you excited.
Yeah.
Boxing. If I were a man, I would box every day. Like, yeah, but I did boxing also.
Yeah, yeah. Whenever I was— I had a trainer when I was in Texas, Dustin. Shout out Dustin, he was amazing. And any day I was stressed out, I'd say, hey, bring your mitts, we gotta do some boxing. And then I would feel like I'd get in a flow state. I love that, by the way. That's a great habit.
Great. Absolutely. Boxing, playing tennis, golf. Golf might be boring for some people.
I play golf almost every day.
Yeah, I play golf as well.
Oh, do you?
I like this, you know, the whole process. I like beautiful people. It's quality time. Because quality people, quality time, quality life.
Yeah.
So yes, habits like New hobbies, boxing, playing tennis, golf, new people, putting yourself into the right rooms. And when you around people that, oh my God, I can really leverage my life, I can level up. And something really what makes your body feel good. Like this, you have to know what makes you really good.
Like breathwork, meditation.
Breathwork, meditation. All, like swimming, so many beautiful things to fill your day. And there are so many things to be happy about, even in details. And it doesn't depend on like size of your house or brand of your car. You can still have the most quality life because you program your mind that my body wants to feel good. And you wake up and you say, how I can make my day better? What can I do for my body, for my soul? Because body, mind, and soul, it's like the triangle.
Right. Understood.
You cannot detox only your body. Like, I have my own wellness center in Ukraine. So that's why I created Re:hab. Because you cannot only detox your body, put IV drip, and that's it. You need also to detox your head. And to detox your head is much more complicated.
Right.
So you need to prevent it. That's why I work with preventive medicine. To prevent aging, to prevent diseases, to prevent hangover. I have one client and he knows that if he's going to party, I give him like a pharmacy box. Yeah. I prepare him. And actually I don't allow my clients to drink.
Yeah, that's good.
I don't accept payment if they don't send the paper. Yeah, I'm very no ordinary, extraordinary coach.
Yeah, no, it sounds like it. It sounds like your work can help people who have achieved extraordinary things in business, but there's so much more to life than just making money. I mean, we're— we, we grow up thinking it's all about attaining material wealth.
Yeah.
And people spend— I mean, I spent my early 20s thinking that that was the key to everything, and I was fortunate to attain a lot of things early on in life. Only to learn that that wasn't— that didn't fill the void, right? But a lot of people don't attain those things ever, and they spend their whole lives chasing.
Chasing instead of attracting.
Yeah, and you attract through changing the way you feel first, through doing these types of things.
Yes.
And people— I don't think many people understand that. I think most people are waiting to get the thing to feel the way they want to feel. But you can feel the way you want to feel today.
Yes.
And in doing so, you'll get things that are greater than what you could have ever imagined and could have expected. And I think that's a society-wide problem, is that that message is not discussed enough.
Yes, because not enough knowledge. They don't do enough research and simply questioning. They just follow the crowd. They follow stereotypes. I love about you, you're so knowledgeable and so sharp. And I really respect such high-minded people.
Thanks.
I want to ask you how you became like so successful, and because I have a lot of admire and respect. What helped you? What habits?
I have actually a very specific thing, a very specific time in my life where everything shifted. And I'm sure some people listening know the story, not everyone. But I was living in Los Angeles with my then-girlfriend, now-wife. We were living in a small apartment, splitting the rent. I was grinding. I had a business, but it wasn't breaking through. It was just— I was just living at this level, and I was working so hard, and I couldn't break free of it. And I actually went to an event and learned about personal development, learned about what my mind was consistently telling me, what my limiting beliefs were. —and I did some meditation or exercises, whatever you want to call them, where I very, very specifically visualized what I wanted my future life to look like and felt an attachment to it emotionally. And when I left the event, I was moving from Los Angeles to Florida. So I had a 5-day drive. I had to drive for 5 days. And I had this shift in my energy. And when I got in the car, since I felt different, I started getting different thoughts. and these thoughts were like simple things like, oh, why don't you try this ad, or try doubling the budget here, or try this or that. And my business went from doing about $1,000 a day in revenue to doing $50,000 a day in revenue in 5 days.
You see what a massive shift.
In 5 days. It was a massive shift. I went from making a couple hundred dollars a day in income to making $20,000, $25,000 a day in profit in the matter of one drive from LA to Florida. And that's when I realized that you have to focus a lot, or you, you, you, it serves you to focus on how you feel because in doing so, your thoughts will be attracted. You'll, you'll attract the thoughts of the same frequency of how you feel and they'll propel you in that direction. I used to sit and think, what do I need to do? What do I need to do? What do I need to do? And I shifted to thinking, who do I need to be? And that was a big shift for me.
I love it, I love it. What kind of event it was?
It was actually Tony Robbins.
Tony Robbins? Yeah. Um, he has many, like the Destiny or UPW. Okay, got it.
And then crazy, um, I didn't— I don't know Tony, but somehow after years he saw a video of me and invited me to come on his documentary. Really? And I told the story on it. So— Wow. It was like— went to a studio in West Palm Beach here and recorded the whole story. But it was a manifestation. Actually, crazy story. I know I'm not supposed to be the one being interviewed here, but— No, no, no. I like to, you know, occasionally I'll go out on walks and I'll record a video for my future self, like checking in, you know? So I can look back at it one day. And I said something along the lines of, I have a feeling I'm going to meet Tony Robbins. I don't know why. And then not exaggerating, this was like 4 PM. At 6 PM, I got a text from his producer about coming on. You manifested it. Literally 2 hours later. Another crazy manifestation story. I wanted to meet Richard Branson. You know Richard Branson from Virgin.
Of course, of course.
I was always a fan of his work. And I was out on a walk. And it just kind of popped into my mind, like his face. I was like, mm-hmm, I would love to meet Richard Branson. I'm like, how do I do that? I'm like thinking about it, I'm like, I don't know, let's let it go. And then I kept going on my walk, you know, I'm feeling a certain way. And then I remembered a friend of mine was in a photo with him. So I'm like, I have to text this guy now because I have to follow this line of thoughts. And I texted him and he's like, yeah, I'm part of this group. There's a trip to his island next year, it's $60,000. There's one spot left. I'm like, all right, I'll take it. I wired the money that same hour. I went back to my house, I sent the money, and then a year later, just a couple months ago now, uh, I went to Necker Island and I spent a week with Richard Branson and it was just—
made a lot of photos.
Yeah, I got photos with my, my son on his shoulders and, and I love this. Yeah, I took my wife and my son and it was like the best trip ever. But it, it's crazy how the universe can shift in ways and create for you if you can be the center. If you can be centered and feel the way you want to feel, things happen.
Yes. Mindful. Mind awareness. That's why I use Martin Seligman technique, which is you have to picture your ideal day, ideal day in details. Like when you wake up, you need to picture yourself where you wake up, how this room looks like, how you wake up, what's the first thing you do, what you see from the window, how looks your breakfast table, or you don't have breakfast, maybe you are going to gym straight away. So you have to picture in details your ideal day. And you have to feel it, because if your brains, if your mind can imagine this, if you see it in your head, in mind, you can have it in your hand and in your life. That's the main quantum physics law. Yeah. So Martin Seligman, he's the author of Happy Psychology. So he always gives this exercise. You have to picture your ideal day, as many details as possible. Oh my God, I have goosebumps now because I know my ideal day. I'm very close to it. And how you wake up. What car are you driving? What music are you listening? How your coffee smells like, or your working place, like all in details. All.
And you have to feel it. That exact exercise of feeling, that was when I mentioned we did an exercise at UPW at Tony Robbins. We were actually, a little bit more detail, what we were doing was we were imagining ourselves as someone else who loves and cares about us walking into our future life. So I envisioned myself as my aunt because she would want what's best for me. And I was walking into the future, you know, up to my future house. I was admiring the cars in the driveway. I walked in, I looked at the pictures of my future family. I admired the beauty. I walked upstairs. I ended up looking in the mirror and it was me the whole time. And it was like a very powerful feeling. And then 60 days later I owned the car that was in my visualization. Yes. When I did it, I had maybe $10,000 to my name, and then 60 days later I owned this $250,000 car that— crazy— years of grinding, and I had $10,000 to my name. 60 days later I owned it because I attached emotion to this very detailed vision. And that's when I realized there's more to this stuff. And that's why I'm excited to talk to people like you. Yes. Who've learned many things beyond what I know.
It's really magical. It's such a mystery. We can create whatever we want. We can create a masterpiece if we use right these tools. If we do this manifestation, visualization, if you're grounded, if you're centered, mindfulness and awareness. And really, if you work with your subconscious mind and surround yourself with the right things, you can get whatever you want in this life. Choice, the power of choice.
How do people— because I feel like there's lots of things that get in the way of people being able to sit there and visualize. Their minds are racing. How do you get yourself into the energetic state to where you could be mindful? Or what are some things you do?
I'm always mindful. It's automatically. I'm always grounded. I'm still. I'm peaceful. I never have anxiety. So even when war started, like sitting in a bombshell, like people normally they have anxiety. Yeah. I have been meditating. I've been thinking, praying, stretching. And I wrote my best works, my best programs, I wrote when the war started in this state of deep mindfulness. I had zero anxiety. Wow. I had zero anxiety, zero stress. So I'm always in this state. I'm still, I'm grounded, I'm peaceful because peace is delicious. Yeah. And I learned this, you know, I don't know what should happen to make me stress or angry. Right. I don't know. It should really happen something horrible. The sky should fall.
Right. Well, if you live in the present moment, then there is no—
And you know, yes, that's why I work with this creating present mindset, focused mindset, present. That's why people overthink too much. Right. Or they live in the past, or they project like some bad things which have not happened yet. Why you should spend your energy there? So you live in this moment, you are here, you are now, and your goal is to make it maximum comfortable, unforgettable, remarkable.
Yeah, and that's where the best creativity comes from. We're both right here, right now, I could tell, right? There's no planning. I mean, I might be taking a few notes for a question in a minute or so, but you have to go with the flow of life.
With the flow. Always, only with the flow. And accept, surrender.
Surrender. Surrender. That's a good one.
Because when you resist something, you spend a lot of energy and that's not going to work. Like so many people, for example, some women, they're desperate to get married to some certain man or get a baby and it's not happening. Right. And they start, they become more desperate. More desperate and they spend more energy there. And it's not right. You have to surrender, you have to accept, and then it will come if it's your man. Yeah. But you never have to force anything in this life. Yeah, I think when you try to force—
let's use the woman trying to get married, for example— it's, it's your— you're building an energy of I need, I need, I need, I need.
It's a very—
and you're going to create more need.
Yes. Do not be needy. Do not be desperate.
You get more of that in life when you feel that way.
You need to feel that you are already enough and you already have everything. I can have more, I don't mind to be better, I don't mind to become more and have more, but I already, I have.
I don't mind, I like that. It's not I want, I desire.
The power of words also. Be careful with the words, they have this code. So I never say some really bad like My language is— it's not because Vipassana and I lived with monks in Kopan Monastery. I really, I watch my words. I'm super intelligent and my language is very— I watch my words because words, universe is really all is script in there. So be careful with your words.
Yeah, they have more power than you may think. Words are powerful. Even your internal words.
Your self-talk, the way you talk to yourself. Like, people should practice more self-love. I have one client and they drink, they do cocaine, they stress, they're overthinking. I ask one question: why you do not love yourself so much? Yeah. Why instead of— they have a fantastic beautiful house at Venetian Island— instead of buying another Lamborghini. Build your own gym, like your— something like healthy, like a wellness center, like I did in Ukraine. But some people, they really— they don't want to go deep. They want quick fix.
I don't think people understand what self-love is. And I think self-love is when you do things that your future self would be happy that you did for yourself. Like, yes, keeping promises to yourself. Of taking the action that you know is the right thing from your soul, not from your mind that's craving.
What is good? Yes, like listening certain music, reading certain books, what is genuinely good for your body. Because make your body your best friend. Yeah, like for me, I don't know, like I never eat some bad food. I like quality food. I like Hydration, quality water, because your body is your temple. Right. And your body will be very grateful. Right. I stay away from people who really have addictions or they're toxic or they don't grow. I just, I don't need them in my life. I can help them, but I don't need them. I would never marry someone who is just not in the same page like I. I am, right? And I like high-minded people, and I really help them to become better just by implementing new things, new habits, new rules. And this new state of self-love, self-discipline is very important for sure. And physiology, because when you change your physiology, you change your body. Yeah. When you change your body, you change your emotions. And when you change your emotions, you change your decisions. Yeah. And life is about to take only high-quality decisions. Yeah.
Oftentimes we meet a fork in the road. It's like we're not feeling good and it's like, well, we can— Yes, I can. I can numb myself with social media or I could just get up right now and go for a walk.
And if I take that fork, you can still go for a walk and still just listen some podcast. But not scrolling down and just lying on the sofa. Like I say, if you, like I said, I wrote an amazing post. If you sit on your ass on the sofa, at least make sure that you put yourself into the right room. Yeah. Everybody was like, oh, she's so sharp, she's badass. Like, yes, if you sit on your ass Yes, on the sofa, make sure you put yourself into the right room. Yeah. So still, opportunity is everywhere, everywhere. But very important is feeling well. And feeling well is a strategy. How you feel today, it's the result what you did yesterday. Yeah. There is no magic pill. Right. Yes, there is, like you can take Adderall or you can take some drug, of course, you will be in Wonderland.
It's the equal and opposite. Yes, but then you're going to have the worst withdrawal.
It's not worth it. I'm for long term. I do things what only can— it working for the future. So feeling well is a strategy.
So what would you say to someone if they're totally new to this world, right? In a cycle that they've been in for a long time, they're working at a job that they hate, they're eating bad food, they don't have good habits. What's the first action someone takes to start on the journey of feeling well?
Completely change it. Immediately stop it. Just show them how it can be.
So change everything at once?
Challenge. Challenge. Like at least one week challenge.
Have you ever heard of 75 Hard? No. It's a 75-day challenge. I've done it 3 times. It's always been great for me. It's a practical tool if anyone's listening that wants to implement discipline. It's 75 days. You have to do 2 45-minute workouts, drink a gallon of water, no cheat meals, no alcohol, and a progress picture. And if you fail any of those things, you start back from day 1. And it's, for me at least—
It's like Robin Sharma's Mindvalley. Yeah, Mindvalley, they have a lot of these challenges.
Yeah, well, it's great because you don't have that internal debate of should I do this or not? And you're spending energy deciding. It's no, I must. It's already decided.
Normally what's happening, you fall in love with the way you feel. Like, oh my God, you wake up in the morning fresh. Yeah. Your thoughts are fresh. Your brain's like the way you feel, you have more energy. Sleep is also very important, to get enough sleep. I did some research. If you don't get enough sleep, your body, it's like you get a lot of toxins. So sleep is also like detox. So minimum 7, 8 hours. And in London they did research that if you don't have enough melatonin, which is a sleep hormone, you are at the risk of getting cancer. Oh, wow. Yes. So melatonin is very important. Right. So sleep is very important. Prioritizing sleep. I never ever go to bed late. I just— in my phone everywhere, no notifications, silent mode. Nobody can call me. I don't party. I don't drink alcohol. I am in bed every night, maximum the latest 11. Yeah. And I wake up and I'm excited, I'm happy. So sleep, prioritizing these healthy habits. Yeah. How you cannot fall in love with your state when you're feeling good, right? And you have progress everywhere. Yeah. In relationships, in your career, you think smarter, you generate. Have you ever noticed, like I did boxing, so when I I did boxing, I start, my mind is blowing and I start generating some ideas. Like sometimes I even, I told my trainer, stop, and I take my phone and I record because I created already some new program or new plan. Yeah, okay, I'm gonna do this workshop. Yeah, because when you do a lot of physical activities, your brain works better. Yeah, 100%. Like it's incredible. Like when I do running or jogging, I always stop, I record my thoughts.
Yeah, same. I actually kept a whiteboard in my gym at my house in Texas. So when I'd be boxing, I'd be like, hold on a second, I'd go write it on the board.
Oh, this is nice.
Yeah, and on runs, I think like, at least for me, if I'm feeling overwhelmed or if I'm feeling stressed, I go out and run 3 or 4 miles. Yes. By mile number 2, all the problems that seemed like they were devastating or so hard or so challenging, They're like tiny little flies. It's like, oh, it's no problem. I can just do that or do that or do that.
Yeah, it's not— it could be worse.
It's not so bad. Yeah, the key is changing your physiology.
How cool is that when you feel good?
And everyone has that tool. Everyone has the ability to feel good no matter—
Yeah, people just don't use it.
If you can't walk, you can do something else.
I mean, there's so many things. Stretch. Yeah, yeah. Like my grandmother and my mother, I'm coaching them. So they're still in Ukraine. So my grandmother is 94 and I sent them Pilates equipment and when they were in a bombshell, because last year they had no electricity, they cut it, it was horrible. Wow. They still, I called them by FaceTime, they were happy. Yeah. Because yeah, like they were still, you know, it's not an excuse, you still have to look after your body, look after your mind. This Pilates ring, you can do it everywhere to stretch, to do at least something, something what is good for your body.
Yeah, I mean, it's an extreme example to be in Ukraine when there's bombings, but metaphorically there's bombings going on around everyone's life. Not so extreme, of course, but there's problems all around.
Yes, you have to have this mastery tool when something happening, you know, like, vaccine from this panic attacks, from anxiety. So you have to have this mastery tool. It might be meditation, it might be call to your friend who is like positive and grounded, calm. Or actually it's a good idea for everyone to have a mentor. Like the power of mentorship is amazing. So you have to know what to do. It's like an emergency to call 911. One, one. So the same with your relationships, the same with your health, the same with your situations in your life, in your business. You have to know what to do. Yeah. You can always ask.
What are some, or a meditation technique that someone who doesn't know how to meditate?
Different. So my first teacher was Joe Dispenza. I went to his retreats. I've been to his events. Yes, retreat. I already go for his 3-day retreats. Last retreat was in Marco Island. Yeah. So I started writing my meditations by myself. Meditation is changing your energy. Some people, they just meditate, they do visualization. Some people, they meditate, they think, they become more mindful. I write meditations like for relaxing, for sleep. I write meditations which are really, they're like little mini hypnos for relationship, for goal setting, for— but all of them makes you feel good. Yeah. They makes you feel loved, valuable, that you are loved, you are already good enough. And it starts with surrendering, letting go. Surrendering, yes. Letting go and being present, present. Just to stop this self-talk, especially negative self-talk. Yeah. And once you get quiet, especially, yeah. And especially these limiting beliefs people have. I'm too old. It's too late. Seriously, I'm 40 years, 41. I just started living my best life. Yeah. Like a woman. I'm planning maybe I'm going to get married again. Like, I just started living my best life. And people sometimes say, I'm too old. It's already too late. I don't have money. You know, like there's so many excuses and limiting beliefs.
Yeah. Well, all of your beliefs come from your experience. You have to feed your belief.
Yeah. You have to feed your mind to feed your belief. Your hope, so many things. There's so many now tools. Even, you know, when people say, I cannot afford myself having a mentor. Yeah. There are so many free information, free Facebook groups, free communities. If you open Facebook, oh my God, Jesus Christ, like, and LinkedIn, you have for this, you pay only $20 for LinkedIn Premium. Yeah. It's like such an educational base. So I don't say like everyone, you need to save money and go to Tony Robbins Platinum, which I did. I left my ex-husband, got divorced because he was always mad that I wanted to grow. I didn't want anything, right? No fancy bags, no vacations. I wanted to go to Tony Robbins, to this, this. And then we— it didn't work. I had to leave because I was younger and I was crazy.
Yeah. In a good way. How do you think being a parent affects your desire to become the best version of yourself?
Being a parent is the best feeling in the world because my daughter now, she's like my friend. And for me, nothing can be better when she says, "Mom, I'm proud of you. You're the best mom. I'm praying for you. I'm thankful to God for you." Being parent is very life-changing. It's like your heart is walking around and the only thing you want is your kid to be proud of you. Right. Because you need to guide your child through life and to be role model. I'm role model for my daughter. Yeah. I'm role model. She's reading my books. She's— This is the best. It's like conscious parenting. Yeah. Yeah.
I'll say as a new father that it, having a little boy to be an example for gives me the extra juice that I need to make those decisions to do the right thing on a daily basis, to keep the promises to myself. Yes. I need to be an example for him.
A role model. Yeah. You are and you will be.
Yeah, an example of what's possible.
Yes, example what is possible. You are the evidence of what is possible. You show him already that, look, you can do this and you can do this. Yeah. And you can do so much in this life. He's very blessed and lucky boy to have such a father. Thank you.
Young father. Yeah. You know, I, uh, I always knew I wanted to have kids, but there was always a part of me that was like, yeah, when you're ready, sometime, you know, when you're ready, when you're ready. And I went and I did my first plant medicine journey a couple years ago, and we had a voice recorder on so you can kind of record your journey, and the first thing I said was, "Have kids, have them now." And it's like, I knew my soul wanted that and knew it was the most important thing, but my mind was fearful and it was holding me back from doing the thing I knew I wanted to do most. I think that happens throughout every area of life. People get clouded. Yes. Their minds.
I love your attitude to life. You should have more children.
Yeah, I'm definitely going to have at least one more, maybe two.
Yeah, I love your attitude to life. It's such a blessing to meet such people.
Yeah, there's, you know, to have a platform to share these things, I feel like it's our duty as humans to grow because There's no blueprint. There's no right or wrong way to live. There's only experiencing this one time you have.
Yes, experience. And life doesn't come with a manual, right? So experience is the most important.
Or it comes with a million manuals. There's so many different ways that people say you should live.
Yes, you need really to get through something. Like to be a good parent, you need to be a parent. You cannot, for example, when Some coaches, they teach people how to make billions and they are far away from billions, or they teach how to be a good parent and they never had children. So I wouldn't say it's very—
So what are some of the best resources for people, whether it be books or podcasts? What are things that you recommend people consume?
Do you have a favorite book or something that you think— I posted yesterday on my Instagram account, 10 books for self-development, 10 books for wellness. So you can make detox at home, for example. I always share with my followers, with my clients, with my students, all this knowledge, all this experience, all I had from my journey. I don't tell them to go to fly to Peru to do ayahuasca. I think they should try this first, they should try this first, and they should try this first. And this is like, to read the book is just a small step. Right. But books are my best friends.
Which one is, if you had to tell people there's one book that's a must-read, what's your favorite one?
Outwitting the Devil. Oh yeah. Napoleon Hill, which is Think and Grow Rich. Yes, yes, because devil is always there.
Yeah, he does such a good job personifying this. The best. It's like, that's a great one.
Outwitting the Devil. Yes, I like books which are really, I consume them. I can eat them. So because there is for one area, one book, like relationship, Robert Greene is great. Career as well, like The Art of Seduction for women as well, for men as well. For self-development, self-growth, Jim Rohn, all his books. The Art of Living. Jim Rohn is like godfather of all the books. Yeah. Jim Rohn. He's like an old man, but he has so much this soul wisdom. And Viktor Frankl, which is existential analysis, logotherapy, questions. Right questions you need to ask yourself. Napoleon Hill is amazing. Atomic Habits, which is very popular now. It's like if you cannot afford coach, this book can coach you, to help you to become more self-disciplined. For health and wealth, David Sinclair, Lifespan. He tells about all new anti-aging protocols, how to prevent aging, how to prevent diseases. I'm a big fan. I'm a doctor by myself, so I like alternative medicine and preventive medicine. So David Sinclair wrote an amazing book.
As someone who knows a lot about health, there's so much information out there, there's so much contradicting information. What do you— do you have any things that you're like, oh, everyone should do this?
Everyone should be living healthy lifestyle. That's how you prevent your aging. That's how you don't need to wait unless you become sick. Yeah. Wake up early, do your workouts, cold plunge, eat healthy, do not drink, like sometimes maybe. Yeah. Like don't have these bad habits, bad people in your life. All is so simple and people make it complicated. Like stem cells, I always say that I don't mind. You can do stem cells, you can do this IV drips with glutathione, NAD+. But why you should do this if you can just prevent it? Yeah.
And if you're not doing the basics.
Yes, you should do the basics and then you will not need this stem cells. You will not need glutathione, NAD+. Bunch of supplements. Right. Also supplements, you need to know, maybe too much of supplements is also not good. Moderation is a key. Yeah. I never prescribe supplements unless I see blood work. Right. Because sometimes there are some people who have high iron, like me. Right. I'm too like— I think I have high dopamine as well because I'm always happy. So you cannot even You need to know your body. You need to know your functions. Yeah. And also not too much, you know, like moderation is the key.
So there's these simple things that we can do, but so many of us don't do it. We're self-sabotaging. Why do people sabotage themselves? Why don't people do the things they know they should do?
Not enough knowledge, not enough guidance, not enough experience.
But even the people that know, okay, I should get up early, I should work out, I should do these things, and they still don't do them. Why don't they?
Not enough motivation. Yeah. Not enough, you know, when really when you need to do this, not enough maybe guidance and right person by your side. And when you know that this is bad for you and there is nobody who can tell you this and they try to escape, they try to make this quick fix. And I think they need to go to therapy or they need to change life completely, like 12-step system. In rehab they do it, like you change completely your environment, your habits, how your day looks like, how you wake up, where you wake up. Some people change their phone numbers. Yeah. It's like total breakdown. It's like life may cover and you can redesign your life. You can. You always can reinvent yourself at any age. Yeah.
I think most people are comfortable enough with life, but they know they'd like to do something else. They don't have enough of a reason why. And that's where I think these big challenges in life can become blessings. These hard times can become blessings as they propel us to try new things.
Yeah, some people, they're just okay. You know, I saw yesterday, I was in Whole Foods and I was buying my organic fresh food. And I was like, there was a salesperson, a young handsome man. Oh my God, I looked at him. He was so kind to everyone. He was singing, dancing. He was like, he had such an incredible, and he's okay. He's just okay with his life. And some people, they are like, make it complicated. They want more because again, social media. But I would say that mental health is much more harder and more complicated. Physical health now, especially now, is more easier to fix. Yeah. There are so many solutions. Yeah. You can become pregnant at 50. You can have a baby at any age. You can do this, you can do that, you can do the stem cells. Miracles, you know. And medicine is only like preventive medicine, alternative medicine, quantum medicine. But mental health is much more important. Right. Mental health. That's why you always should start with your mental health. With also energy, work with your energy. Right. Where is my mind? What am I thinking about? How do I feel now? This energy is also important. Because at the end of the day, the most important is how you feel. And you can be powerful, but you still can be miserable. Right. I saw so many people, they're super powerful. I feel sorry for them. Right. They're miserable. Yeah. Especially these famous celebrities, like when you already, your career is going, like football players or actors. They feel that I'm already not good enough. I never say names, but great example of one of my client and friend, super famous celebrity. He started doing ayahuasca nonstop. He started looking for trying to open his consciousness and he became so— his life became so complicated. He became so miserable. Instead of moving on, doing like opening his— doing something different. Yeah. There's always a solution. We always have a choice.
You talk about people that are really successful or celebrities who have— Yes. If you think about someone, let's say a famous musician, they get on stage and everyone loves them and they're this high.
Yes. And they need this love as a drug. Yes. The love is like a drug for them.
Yeah, right. And it— but it's a lesson because other people are like, oh, I just need to be like that person and I'll have it. But yes, that person doesn't have it either. It's, it's not about the material things, it's not about the fame, it's here inside of us.
They need love. Yes. And they need to feel this love. And for them it become like a drug. And they feel so sorry, but when younger, more talented, more younger people come, and nothing lasts forever, you know. So I would say you always need to find your purpose at any age, something what excites you, how you can be valuable, useful. You know, there was a conference of Grant Cardone, uh, 10X. Yeah. And there was Arnold Schwarzenegger. Yeah. Oh my God, his speech was amazing. Yeah, he's an incredible He's incredible. He's superhuman being, super humble. Yeah, super humble. And he wrote a book, Be Useful. I fell in love with him after I heard his speech and he was so nice. And I also think it's very important in life is to be humble, to stay humble, humble and hungry. Yeah. Yeah. And excited.
I feel like social media is the antithesis of being humble because subconsciously you're comparing yourself to others and you feel like you need to prove something. So a lot of these young successful or just starting to be successful, oh, I need to get the Van Cleef things and the Rolexes and nothing wrong with those things. Yes, yes, yes, I know. It causes people to not be humble because they feel like they need to keep up with everyone else.
I always go, you know, I break the system because some people, they spend so much energy on there, like to prove something to some people who really, they don't make difference in your life. Right. Look at the most successful people. They're like, just, they look like simple people. Yeah. They, everybody has his own passions, but you need to know what is genuinely good for you and in a long perspective. Yeah, what is good for you, what will be good for your family tomorrow. Not just this, you know, to rent a fancy boat for $30,000 just to post a photo on Instagram. Yeah, hi, this is my life in Miami, right? I would better make this money work.
Yeah, I think people, they're like, oh, I'm doing this cool thing, I need everyone to know about it, otherwise it's not worth doing it. And it's like, that's the opposite. Yes, doing because you want to have the experience. Yeah. And it becomes an addiction to see how many people think I'm cool because I did this thing. I went through that trap when I was in my 20s. I would post about my cars and I'd be like, how many likes does this get? Oh, which one of my high school friends saw me now? And it's like, now I think about that way of being and it's like so icky to me. It's like, I don't even really post anything anymore unless it's something that's true from my heart. Because it feeds into an addiction of needing other people to validate you, which is a really bad path to go down.
Yeah, I'm also thinking too, because I have my clients coming to my, through Instagram, so I really literally need to show them that all is possible. Right. But if I do post something like fancy, there is a context, like how I got this. Right. Or like I say, one of my latest posts is amazing. So I posted my Rolls-Royce car, which I had in Ukraine, and I wrote like a mini essay that my life is like roller coaster. So 2 years ago I woke up in my own luxury house, like my car, I had it all. And now I wake up in one-bedroom apartment in Miami I rent. And I feel much happier. I've never been so happy. So my message is always very deep. I hope people read it. I hope people don't think that, oh my gosh, she's just—
No, that's true. That's true. If you're posting about those things for a reason, it's not because of validation though.
Yes, but there are some people who just post their life in Courchevel, in Monaco, this, this, this, and they never even write something. Yeah. Like, you know, hello, hi. I never follow these people. Yeah. I had it all in my life. I was there and I was there. Yeah. But I never felt myself miserable. I was always happy. I was always grounded. I was always like feeling myself valuable.
Yeah. And I think if you do this work, if you have these deep conversations, if you produce amazing things and you are centered and you are your best self, you get more validation externally than you could by trying to put things out there.
Absolutely. Because, you know, also I love Maya Angelou. She was mentor of Oprah Winfrey. I wrote, I know by heart all her poems and all her books. And one of my favorite is, "Nobody makes it alone." Everybody needs somebody. And her quote, my favorite quote is, "People will never forget how you make them feel." Yeah. They might not remember what you have been wearing, or they will never ever forget how you make them feel. Yeah. So I always teach people, first of all, to think about this, how you make people feel. They don't care what you do. They care what you can do for them. Right. That's why you should go from there. Yeah.
And you can make people— I believe you can make people feel better by showing up as your most genuine truth. So not, what am I going to say to this person and how am I going to act and how am I going to smile and being from a mind. I like to go into situations not even think about it for one second until I'm in the situation. Yeah. So that my mind is not guiding me, it's my soul that's guiding me.
Yes, soul. Follow your heart. Yeah. I always, I live through my heart. I can tell. Yes, I live through my heart. I have so much love always to share.
Yeah, before I got to know you, where when our Zoom call got messed up and I was like 7 minutes late for it, I was like, oh, she's gonna be so annoyed with me. And you had zero sense of you were annoyed at all.
No, I never, I People think, Karina, they ask, how you do this? I'm never angry. I never get stressed. I'm happy person. I'm so blessed that I am just like I am. And this energy, it's always with me. I'm not afraid of the war or anything. I know that I'm always be good.
Do you ever have feelings of fear or anger that start to bubble up that you get ahead of and you remind yourself not to let them take over? Or have you gotten to a point where they just don't even come anymore? What do you mean? Like, you know, you're in this state of peace and presence, right? And maybe something happens or you think of something and you start to realize you're feeling fear or you're feeling anxiety. Do those things start to ever bubble up where you're like, let me bring myself back?
I bring myself back straight away. Yeah. Questioning. 'Okay, like what can I do? What is the worst scenario?' Right. Like, and I always find the solution how to calm myself down. Very simple questions. That's why I do Logotherapy. It's questions. What can I do? What is good for me? Why? Like, why do I need this? Why do I need to think about this? I cannot change it. So why should I spend my energy there?
And how often do you ask yourself these questions?
It depends. It depends when I feel that I need to ask myself, but it's automatically. I remind myself to be mindful, awareness.
And over time it becomes your way of being.
I live this, you know, this message of mindfulness, and I spread this message of mindfulness.
When you were younger, were you ever not mindful? I was always mission-driven.
I was always like thought leader. I've been reading books. Like, I was very, very knowledgeable since my young age. I was always doing research. I loved to learn something. All my friends, they were older, much older. Even my husband, my ex-husband, was twice older than me. And I fell in love with his brains. I've been listening to him. I've been questioning him all the time. And he loved it. Like, I have a course for women, High Value Women. So I always tell them, make your man the epicenter of the universe. Be full of interest, be full of wonder. Ask him questions, but not annoying questions like, where have you been? Why don't you pick up? Like, some women are like that. They're like, Ask him questions about, like, show him, make him feel special, important, make him feel himself like powerful, knowledgeable. They love it. Yeah. Well, you know, I think that, so it's, yeah, I always was knowledgeable.
What do you think a beautiful and healthy relationship looks like?
This is relationships where both, two of them become better. They become more total understanding, boundaries, because you do have to keep some boundaries. It's not possessive love. Right. Because possession is also instead of expectation, more appreciation. Being grateful, you know, not taking things for granted. Right. Like when you take for granted, when you forget how to say thank you, it's like— so just really being grateful, being grateful even for some small things. Yeah. And show interest and compassion. Yeah. Compassion, because even man at the end of the day, he needs care, he needs Somebody to ask him, how was your day? Did you take your vitamins? Yeah. Like something to uplift, like to bring something, to bring light, love. And it's a two-way street. Right. So you cannot like just consume. So yeah, everybody can build healthy, long-lasting relationships.
One thing I learned that was really profound was that, you know, obviously in all relationships there's times where you're frustrated with each other and you're starting to paint a picture in your head about things. And immediately when that happens, go and do an act of love for that other person, whether it's you make them a coffee or you get them flowers or whatever it is. You replace those feelings with an act of love. And then you realize—
Act of generosity, I call it. Yeah. Immediate act of kindness and generosity. Yeah. Do not wait for the scandal or— actually, this is really working very good in any kind of relationship. Even act of kindness. When you come to your office, say everyone hello, bring some chocolate, fruits, gifts for like Christmas and make a compliment. It's very easy. Very easy. It takes you nothing to say thank you or, oh my God, you are glowing, you look good today. And it's straight away, it's like, Set the tone for your day. Set the tone when you enter your office. Smile already. You have to feel it. You have to, and it should be automatically natural.
And people will remember how you made them feel.
Exactly. And your life will be totally magnificent.
Yeah. You have opportunities every day to do that.
The same at home. When I was married, my husband was the most happiest man because I always say, you look Oh yeah, this haircut, we can do this. He felt himself so special. The same with your kids, the same with your parents, the same. I have concierge in my house. I always bring them chocolates, fruits, balloons. They love me so much. And it takes me nothing. I will spend $20, but I will make someone so happy and special. Yeah.
And in a more selfish way, it goes a long way. It all comes back.
Back to you in the end. Absolutely, absolutely. I like making gifts, I like making compliments. I do so much good stuff and it always come back to me. And I felt it when the war started, so many people, Karina, come to us, live at our place. I felt myself so loved. And it's all, when you live in such way, your life is getting only better and better and more quality.
It's all these micro thoughts, micro actions that make a beautiful life. All the things we're talking about during these evenings.
I like this micro, yes. Micro breaks, like micro, the word micro is very important. I like that you mentioned this. Even micro breaks for mindfulness during the day. Yeah. How important it is. Oh yeah.
Just a quick moment to bring your awareness back to center.
Yes. Yes.
It can be a minute. Exactly.
Less than a minute. Sometimes I buy my client a watch, uh, Apple, and I set him reminder to have like 3 PM. Normally it's 3 PM to do like breathwork or like micro break for mindfulness. Yep. Because you know where I am, how is my day, how do I feel. Yep. So important.
And when you practice that, you get better at it. Like one thing I do is You know, we'll watch an episode of something on Netflix at night, and right when it turns on, that's like my cue to bring my attention back to my body in this moment, that I'm connected with everything. And it's just like a simple thing that it's just triggered automatically when I turn the TV on. I just take a second. I don't even say anything. I just sit there. I'm just— I don't look any different. I'm still sitting there, but my attention just goes inward. And it's such a relief. It's like— all those things going on externally don't matter.
But can you imagine this micro change and already making you feel better? Yeah, yeah. Even if it's just once a day or twice a day. Micro steps, micro breaks, micro habits. Even they even now do micro dosing. Yeah, with this mushrooms. Yeah, yeah. But micro dosing is better than drugs and alcohol. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. So Micro. That's why we do this decomposition. Concrete steps, we do them like micro, micro goal.
Yeah, yeah. Even something like in between calls, do 10 pushups. Just something. Yes. It adds up over the course of a year. You're doing thousands of additional pushups.
Yes. I love people who have at their office kind of little workout place, or even I saw some people who have golf. So yes, like just in your day, during the whole day, you can make it so productive, so enjoyable at the same time. Yeah. Day full of enjoyment, fulfillment, memories, success. And it all starts with you, with your mind.
So turning in a bit of a different direction, you know, are— there's— we're in an interesting time in the world with politics, with— and not just politics, but because there's more information than ever before, people can hear about something that happened across the world in a split second. So people are focused on all these problems, and it's stirring up all these angers and anxieties throughout culture, and there's protests and riots and wars. What's something that people can do that can actually— what's one habit that people can do that can make the world a better place if everyone did it? A simple habit.
All people? To become more mindful, I think. Or like you're talking about daily habit.
Yeah, something that people can do on a daily basis that— To bring more awareness in life.
Like to remind yourself that at the end of the day, simple things matter. Love matters. Love matters. And simple things can be big things. And the first ingredient in life is to find a teacher. Yeah. And I think this is the first. It can be a book, it can be maybe some person, because sometimes one relationship can change your life. Forever. Right. One relationship can change your life forever. Yeah. So that's why I say always build relationships. Do not invest into fancy vacations. Invest better in relationship. Yeah. Like to buy some expensive online course or program and be around this person. Bring value. Show up. Show up. Build your credibility. Like Bring something on the table, be valuable.
Yeah, yeah. I wish they taught these kind of things in school because you said everyone needs a teacher. Every kid has a teacher, but they're not teaching, even if it was just 5 minutes a day, talking about mindfulness, talking about love, talking about self-awareness. I think that can have humongous rippling effects.
Teachers in school, they will not teach you how to live this life. No. They leave you what's written in the book and it's the most easiest thing. And I think that really to help someone you need to share your experience. Yeah, which is what we're doing right now. Yes, yes. Which is amazing. Energy, we're exchanging an amazing energy. I'm talking to you now, I feel so good. Yeah, same. Yes, I feel so good really. And we exchange an experience. We sharing our wisdom, our knowledge, and we are mindful.
Yeah. So what is your kind of, you know, long-term vision? Where do you want to go? I know you have, you know, programs and coaching and mentorship and books and talks. Where do you see all this going?
I will keep going. I will build more programs, and I want to build here like empire. Not empire, it's too big word. A circle, community of happy high-minded people. Movement. Like movement, let's say movement. Maybe it's going to be kind of membership or movement of people who really want to grow and who want to learn, to become more knowledgeable, healthy. I love healthy people, healthy and high-minded. And I dream to have my own retreat center and rehab, what I did before. I'm sure I will make my dream come true. I love it.
So people that want to learn more from you now, where can they find you?
On my Instagram, social media. Yeah. Yes, by my name Karina.
Links to everything through there?
Yes, books, how to book a consultation with me, complimentary 15-minute session. And also I have private session like mastermind. I have some programs, coaching. Amazing. Yeah, I love helping people.
This is my passion. I can tell. Well, we'll link all your stuff in the show notes. This has been an amazing conversation. Yes. And I really enjoyed it. And thank you for showing up genuinely and with an open heart. Thank you.
I'm always with open heart. This is the only way you should live.
That's a great closing note. Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you.
