Change is something that a CEO must adapt to because I had to deal with change at 7-Eleven every single day. We went through a financial crisis. Blockbuster, same thing. Get there to try to transform it in the middle of the world's worst financial crisis. And so I coined the expression CEO change equals opportunity, and it applies to your life too. Be CEO of your life. Recognize when something bad happens, the death of a child or a parent. But on the other side of that crisis, often you'll find there's a silver lining and there was a reason for all of this to happen and you can grow from it.
