Don't broadcast your plans to people who haven't done what you're trying to do. They'll project their own fears onto your ambition. Learn from people with actual results in that domain instead.
It almost never really serves you to tell people about what you're doing because then they just, again, they project their fears.
Depends on people. It depends what people. If you tell me and I'm your friend, I will go above and beyond for it. But if you tell a friend that tried and failed, they're gonna bring you back down.
Unless you have a great friend who's done tremendous things in their career and is, you know, can give you great advice. But most people, they're seeking external validation.
You've gotta pick your influences. You know, life needs to be a meritocracy similar to a company. If you need to listen to people people based on their merit. I'm not going to ask a non-business owner whether I should start a business, right? I'm going to ask a business owner. I might ask my mom about emotional intelligence. Yeah. Or how to be a good parent, right? I definitely will.
Yeah.
And I'll definitely take that on board. But the quicker we can figure out who has merit in the situation, the quicker we can learn.
