He built confidence through six-month challenges like learning six religions and investing. He predicts half of social media will be AI-generated soon, and his own 100 AI videos in 100 days got 400 million views.
When did things become real for you? Things became real after 271 videos exactly. For the first 270 videos, they all failed. And then on day 271, I made a video in Thailand about how cheap Thailand is and everybody should visit it. And that video got 30 million views. Wah! So you go from averaging 10,000 views to 30 million views and you're like, hold on a minute. It is the hardest thing I've done in my entire life and I will never do it again. How did you decide to even start down this path? I do challenges all the time. Like every 6 months I try to do a challenge that's like really hard. So one was like, I want to get a six-pack in 6 months. Another is I want to learn investing in 6 months. I want to learn 6 religions in 6 months. That's how you build confidence. I thought I was indestructible after 1000 Days. It made me the confidence to go and say— but some people are able to make that jump from, hey, I can only raise $1 million for my simple idea, to I just raised $100 million for my very big idea. And then I know some people, my friends, who fundraise $100 million, but they were able to tell a story that's just bigger. No, the most interesting place I've been to is North Korea. Korea, probably. So I didn't realize how dangerous it is. Yeah, I went there because a lot of tourists go there. You see a different side of humanity, that those humans believe things that are just not true. But then I got to meet this North Korean girl, and we kind of started liking each other, held hands on the bus. And then the other guy came to me and he's like, where are we going 10 years from now? That is a very good question. I think 50% of social media is going to be AI-generated. And the other 50% will be humans. 99% of phone videos are crap. It's the 1% of effort and storytelling of phone videos that really build careers. Generational careers. I actually did 100 AI videos in 100 days. It got 400 million views. Wow. If you are not excited by the future, I don't know what else to say.
