A guitarist spent three years building the Beat Buddy, a foot-controlled drum machine that lets you change patterns without stopping playing. He couldn't find one that existed, so he made it.
I got a drum machine, but every time I wanted the beat to change, when I would go from like verse to chorus, right, song, I'd have to stop playing my guitar, press a button on the machine to change the beat, go back to playing my guitar. Interrupted the flow of the music. So I thought, I need a drum machine on the floor in a pedal format so I could control it hands-free with my foot while I play. So I went online to try to buy it, but I couldn't find it anywhere. And I told my musician friends about it. They're like, I've never seen anything like it, but if you find it, let me know. I want to get one too. That sounds super cool. If everyone wants it, nobody's making it. This is like a huge opportunity. So it took me about 3 years, but I made it. It's called the Beat Buddy. Buddy that plays the beat, the world's first guitar pedal drum machine, and it allows you to control a drum beat hands-free while you play your instrument.
