Yes, today is Halloween, which means we're less than one month away from Black Friday, Cyber Monday. And if you're now just putting together your marketing efforts for the big weekend, don't forget to keep SEO in mind. Here's some rapid-fire tips to ensure that SEO works for you during Black Friday, Cyber Monday. First, make sure to have a dedicated page for your deals. If you are a recognizable brand, this can help tremendously for brand plus Black Friday related searches. And also if you're in a fairly expanded market like kitchen knives, there's also a great opportunity to capitalize on that Black Friday intent. Head over to Google Trends, take a look. Next, ensure that those URLs are evergreen without a year in them. Evergreen URLs will protect the page's SEO value that you've been building year over year, also allowing you to pick up where you left off from the year before. And when the season's over, just modify aspects of the page to still get the user to engage, maybe with an email capture or showing off some other products and value propositions. Lastly, we need to get that page indexed and ranking as quickly as possible. Internally linking from your site's footer can be a quick way to get Google crawlers on the page. More importantly, don't skip out on internal links from really powerful pages on your site to help pass over some of that SEO value. Also, make sure your checkout experience is absolutely flawless on mobile.
