Big Abundant teaches Neville Goddard's four-dimensional thinking: the future already exists and you access it through imagination. The technique involves defining a desire, imagining a specific event that confirms it in first-person perspective, and entering a relaxed near-sleep state while holding that image without effort.

London in the building, man. We over here getting everything together, so you guys bear with me. There we go. Instagram in the building now. There we go. Let me, um, mute this tab so I'm not hearing the echo. There we go, got that muted. But yeah, man, today we gonna be talking about fourth dimensional thinking, sticking to Neville Goddard. Yesterday when I went to edit some of the stuff from our last live stream, I realized that I'm moving way too much. So I'll be getting away from the mic and it'd be causing the sound to wash in and out. And y'all just so ride or die, y'all didn't tell me nothing. But for future reference, tell me if the sound quality could be improved, if everything not up to par, man. But, um, I made do with it. We still squeezed some content out of it. We're gonna squeeze some more out of it, but I'ma just kick it for a little minute in here. So if you happen to be catching the replay, you could fast forward a little bit. I'm gonna give people time to get in here. I'm running a little bit late, man, getting things pushed out to all the different platforms and making sure that it's working and looking right on all the different screens. It's a little more time consuming than I had budgeted for, so I'm running about 15 minutes behind schedule. So we'll give people a little time to see that I am Still going live, and we finna get ready to get to it, man. Why? In the meantime, we'll be jumping around and just getting everything together on the different platforms. Let's see. Link down here. .com/add. Big Abundant. All right, let's post that. Can you pin comments on your pin comment? There you go. All right, yeah, yeah, yeah. So we got that posted. Uh, let's make sure we good over here on Twitch as well. Just making sure we good across the board. You know, as we grow and expand, we gotta make sure all our people being served. Let me go over here in the chat. 4-dimensional thinking. Let's pop that up for them. Now let me get to the YouTube comment section. Oh, I put up there for them. All right, we're gonna be getting started in just— let's see, mute site. Yeah, we finna get this thing going. I don't even know my Twitch password, so we're gonna just let Twitch ride it out. We gonna trust that y'all— that y'all good over there on Twitch. But listen, I'm ready to get started. Nice, 3 minutes 44 seconds in. I'm gonna wait till the 5-minute mark, but at 5 minutes and not full room, empty room, I don't really care. We jumping in and getting started, man. If you're on IG, I had scheduled an Instagram with NIG, but, um, when I started this live stream, it wouldn't let me connect it. So hopefully nobody ain't sitting in that one waiting for me to show up because I'm not gonna show up, but I am live. So hopefully you get the notification that that I'm live and you can jump in and join us. But yeah, let me see, we got, um, about 40 seconds and we jumping into the book, man. As people come in, feel free to get in this comment section, talk to me. I love hearing from you guys, man. Love chopping it up with all of y'all. Talk to me, I don't bite. That's not a lecture, this is a conversation. I get on here to talk to people. When I just want to lecture, I'll do a podcast, so I'll record the video and upload it. But when I'm live streaming, I'm not lecturing. I just want to kick it and talk to you guys, get your feedback, get your thoughts on this. But we finna get ready to get started in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. So today we're going to be working out of, um, Neville Goddard And the text we'll be reading out of is Out of This World and the Search. Neville Goddard is one of my favorite, favorite authors, man. He goes so deep with this law of attraction stuff. And the thing that I like most about Neville Goddard is that, um, he backs it up with scripture. He backs it up with the, with the scriptural basis, and he, um, he connects a lot of dots. So without further ado, let's get into it. And in case— I don't know if y'all could tell, but I'm working real hard not to move because I noticed when I move, the sound go in and out. So I'm trying to stay right here in front of the mic, but I move when I talk. My son teacher go, he won't be still, he won't be still. And I was, you know, talking to him one day, I was like, hey man, you got to start being still in class. Your teacher calling about you moving and stuff. And one day I was editing some of my content and I was like, oh shit, I can't be still. It's my fault. But yeah, I like to move when I talk. I'm what you call a full body communicator. I'm using my hands, I'm using my face, I mean, I use my full body when I communicate. So sitting still when I'm talking is really hard for me. But I want us to have good content that we can repurpose in it, you know, it sound good, it look good. So I'm doing my best over here. So chapter 1, Thinking Fourth Dimensionally. And now I have told you before it come to pass, that when it comes to pass ye might believe. That's John 14:29. Many persons, myself included, have observed events before they occurred. That is, before they occurred in this world of 3 dimensions. Since man can observe an event before it occurs in the 3 dimensions of space, Life on Earth must proceed according to plan, and this plan must exist elsewhere in another dimension and be slowly moving through our space. If the occurring events were not in this world, where were they observed? Then, to be perfectly logical, they must have been out of this world. And whatever is there to be seen before it occurs here must be predetermined from the point of view of man awake in the 3-dimensional world. Thus the question arises, are we able to alter our futures? Do you guys think we're able to alter our futures? Do you think our futures are completely fate, or do you think that us as man is God's highest form of creation? Do you think we have some say in how our future goes? And if you catching the replay, you can answer that question in the comments. I go look at and see the comments on the replay. They actually come to my phone. And I reply to 90% of them, probably 95% of them. Only time I won't reply is if you just being like foolish, like— but if you said anything with half a drop of substance, 9 times out of 10 I'm gonna reply. Give me a second here. All right, my objective My, my object in writing these pages is to indicate possibilities inherent in man, to show that man can alter his future. But thus altered, it forms again a deterministic sequence starting from the point of interference, a future that will be consistent with the alteration. The most remarkable feature of man's future is its flexibility. It is determined by his attitudes rather than his acts. Y'all know me, I like to highlight when stuff ring with me, when stuff ring true. So Neville just made the statement that our futures have flexibility. Give me a second, I'm doing some highlighting here. Our futures have flexibility and it's determined by our attitude rather than by our acts. Have you ever been in a situation where you You doing all the right stuff. You showing up to the class on time. You studying the material. You asking for help. You even got a tutor, but you still flunked the class. Because a lot of times we'll be doing the right stuff, but we won't be thinking the right stuff. I remember when I first got into like motivational speaking and doing this type of work, I was in the process of, okay, I I was an entrepreneur. I had a business that I ran, and I was in the military. So I identified as an airman, I identified as a member of the military, I identified as an entrepreneur, but I haven't yet developed the mindset of a coach or a motivational speaker. So I would go to these networking events, and I was in Toastmasters, and I was doing all the right stuff. I was checking off all the boxes. But when people would ask me what I did, I would say, oh, I'm a veteran, I'm an entrepreneur, I'm trying to get into motivational speaking. Guess what? Nobody is hiring a speaker that's trying to get into motivational speaking. If I'm trying to get into motivational speaking, I'm not yet a motivational speaker. So after 2 years of being in Toastmasters, reading all these books about public speaking, studying great orators throughout history like Martin Luther King, like John F. Kennedy, I was studying everybody. T.D. Jakes, any, any great orator I could find, I was studying their stuff, analyzing it, breaking, breaking it down, noticing what they did with their body, noticing how they controlled the crowd, how they worked with the crowd. I was doing all of that stuff. I had all the fundamentals down, but I was still thinking I was an entrepreneur, I was a veteran becoming a motivational speaker. Within 2 weeks of putting on the mindset of a motivational speaker I had my first gig within 2 weeks of going. I'm not becoming a motivational speaker, I am a motivational speaker. When people ask me what I do, I say I'm a motivational speaker. I help people set goals, stick to them, and get through them without stress, self-doubt, and burnout. That's what I do. Within 2 weeks of putting on that persona, I had a gig, and I had been trying to get a gig for 2 years, but within 2 years of changing the way I was thinking. Not what I was doing, changing what I was thinking. I was doing the right stuff, I wasn't thinking the right stuff. But when I changed my thoughts, stuff lined right up. And that's the point that Neville is making right here. The most remarkable feature of man— the most remarkable feature of man's future is its flexibility. It is determined by his attitudes rather than by his acts. The cornerstone on which all things are based is man's— gotta turn the page here— is man's concept of himself. He acts as he does and has the experiences that he does because his concept of self is what it is and for no other reason. We gotta, we gotta read that again. He acts as he does and has the experiences that he does because his concept of self is what it is and for no other reason. Had he a different concept of self, he would act differently. A change of concept of self automatically alters his future, and a change in any term of his future series of experiences reciprocally— if I could talk— reciprocally alters his concept of self. So a change of concept of self automatically is going to alter your future. Agree? Disagree? What y'all thinking? Talk to me. A change of his concept of self is automatically gonna alter his future just by thinking himself different, just by how he describes himself to himself. One of the shorts I uploaded yesterday, I was talking about how a lot of times we'd be busy convincing the wrong people. We'd be trying to convince our friends, we'd be trying to convince our family, we'd be trying to convince our customers, we'd be trying to convince all of those people when the primary person you got to convince is you. When you convince you that you successful, when you convince you that you could do it, you could do it. But if in your own mind you're like, man, I don't know, that's a big task, I don't— not quite sure if somebody like me can do this, you gonna find the obstacles. Even if they don't exist, you'll make them up, because your thoughts got way more to do with this thing than your actions. And actually, your thoughts give birth to your actions. So the whole thing that he's beating in right now is when you change your thoughts, you magically change the whole equation. Gotta start with the thinking. Gotta start thinking right. When you think right, you'll find it a lot easier to do right. Thinking made it so. So where we at? All changes takes place in consciousness. The future, although prepared in every detail in advance, has several outcomes. At every moment of our lives, we have before us the choice of which of several We will choose. There are 2 actual outlooks on the world possessed by everyone: a natural focus and a spiritual focus. The ancient teachers called one the carnal mind and the other the mind of Christ. We may differentiate them as ordinary waking consciousness governed by our senses and a controlled imagination governed by desire. We recognize these 2 distinct centers of thought in the statement The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him, neither can he know them, for they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2:14. The natural view confines reality to the moment called now. To the natural view, the past and future are purely imaginary. The spiritual view, on the other hand, sees the contents of the time. It sees events as distinct and separated as objects in space. The past and future are present whole to the spiritual view. What is mental and subjective to the natural man is concrete and objective to the spiritual man. The habit of seeing only that which our senses permit renders us totally blind to what we otherwise could see. To cultivate the faculty of seeing the invisible, we should often deliberately disentangle our minds from the evidence of the senses and focus our attention on an invisible state. Mentally feeling it and sensing it until it has all the distinctness of reality. Earnest, concentrated thought focused in a particular direction shuts out other sensations and causes them to disappear. We have but to concentrate on the state desired in order to see it. The habit of withdrawing attention from the region of sensation and concentrating it on the invisible develops our spiritual outlook and enables us to penetrate beyond the world of sense And to see that which is invisible. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen. Let me see something here. Okay, testing. Okay, I just had to check and make sure my sound was doing what it should be doing. Let me go over here and check on Instagram while I'm looking up— what's good, what's good, IG? How y'all doing, man? Big Abundant in here. We working out of Out of This World and The Search by Neville Goddard. Yeah, I'm just jumping over to check on y'all. Look, y'all want to be up to the moment and you want me to have your comments right here on my main screen, you gotta come join us on YouTube. Go to YouTube, search for Big Abundant, the live stream will pop up. Come kick it with us. All right. We have but to concentrate on the state desired in order to see it. The habit of withdrawing attention from the region of sensation and concentrating it on the invisible develops our spiritual outlook and enables us to penetrate beyond the world of sense and to see that which is invisible. For the invisible things of him from the creation of world are clearly seen. Romans 1:20. This vision is completely independent of the natural faculties. Open it and quicken it. Without it, these instructions are useless, for the things of the spirit are spiritually discerned. A little practice will convince us that we can, by controlling our imagination, reshape our future in harmony with our desire. Desire is the mainspring of action. We could not move a single finger unless we had a desire to move it. No matter what we do, we follow the desire, which is the which at the moment dominates our minds. When we break a habit, our desire to break it is greater than our desire to continue in the habit. The desires which impel us to action are those that hold our attention. A desire is but an awareness of something we lack or need to make our life more enjoyable. Desire always has some personal gain in view. The greater the anticipated gain, the more intense is the desire. There is no absolutely unselfish desire. Where there is nothing to gain, there is no desire, and consequently no action. The spiritual man speaks to the natural man through the language of desire. The key to progress in life and to the fulfillment of dreams lies in ready obedience to his voice. Unhesitating obedience to his voice is an immediate assumption of the wish fulfilled. To desire state is to have it. As Pascal has said, you would never have sought me had you not already found me. Man, by assuming the feeling of his wish fulfilled and then living and accepting on this conviction, alters the future in harmony with his assumption. Let's read that again. Man, by assuming the feeling of his wish fulfilled, by asking yourself the simple question, if I already had XYZ, How would I feel? Okay, I'm gonna practice feeling that way now. By doing that and then living and acting on that conviction, you alter the future to be in harmony with that assumption. All right, because when you feel like you don't got it, the ideas that you produce are going to be ideas that were produced from a place of feeling like you don't got it. Let me say that again. I want to make sure that resonates. When you feel like you don't got it, the ideas, the thoughts, the concepts that you produce are coming from a place of not having it. But when you feel like you have it, the ideas, the concepts, the thoughts that you conjure up are coming from a place of having it. The body follows the mind. Where the mind goes, the body follows. When I would, when I would box, one of my coaches would always tell me, don't look down. His body got to be under his head. If you want to punch him in the stomach, keep looking up here. His stomach is under his head. The body follows the mind. If the head is over here, guess what? Guess where the stomach is? Right there. Keep your eyes up here and just throw the punch out. The, the body follows the mind. Send your mind ahead of you. Send your words ahead of you. Send your thoughts ahead of you, the physical you. And the body is going to go catch up with the thoughts. How many times have you prematurely sent your thoughts to failure? Then what happened? You failed. But the same thing will happen if you prematurely go to success. Now you still going to practice, but you going to practice with a success mindset. You still putting in the work, but you putting in the work with a success mindset. Now you got the energy, you got the confidence, the good ideas are showing up, you are getting in the zone. Let's get back into the text. I gotta find out where I left off at. Okay, the spiritual man speaks to the natural man through the language of desire. The key to progress in life and to the fulfillment of dream lies in ready obedience to his voice. Unhesitating obedience to his voice is an immediate assumption of the wish fulfilled. To desire a state is to have it. Assumptions awaken what they affirm. As soon as a man assumes the feeling of his wish fulfilled, his 4-dimensional self finds ways for the attainment of this end. Discover methods for its realization. I know of no clearer definition of the means by which we realize our desires than to experiencing in imagination what we would experience in the flesh were we to achieve our goal. This experience of the end wills the means. With its larger outlook, the 4-dimensional self then constructs the means necessary to realize and accept the end. The undisciplined mind finds it difficult to assume a state which is denied by the senses. You gotta discipline your mind. That's why we're doing these lives almost every day, because this takes practice. People get one or two of these principles and try them once or twice, go, it didn't work. It takes practice. In the last text we was reading, it opens up saying prayer is an art and requires practice. The first thing that you must master is control of the imagination. If you can't control your imagination, your imagination can and will control you. You gotta master your imagination. You gotta discipline your imagination. You gotta quit conjuring up things that you don't desire. What's up, Pastor? You gotta get the control of the imagination because the imagination controls how you feel. And like I always say, how you feel controls how you think, and how you think controls how you act. All right, gotta lock down those thoughts. You got to be able to reel the mind in, stop it from running all over the place, come out of what we call monkey mind and get clear on what you want and lock your attention on what you want. Takes practice, but it's very possible. Where did we stop it? The undisciplined mind finds it difficult to assume a state which is denied by the senses. Here's a technique that makes it easy to encounter events before they occur: to call things which are not seen as though they were. Romans 4:17. People have a habit of slighting the importance of simple things, but this simple formula for changing the future was discovered after years of searching and experimenting. The first step in changing the future is desire. That is, define your objective. Know definitely what you want. I always say you cannot hit a target that don't exist. A lot of people come into my office, they know exactly what they don't want. I don't want this relationship. I don't want this job. I hate this job. I don't want to be fat. I don't want to look like this. I don't want to feel like this. Then you go, okay, well, what do you want instead? I don't know, I just don't want this. Okay, I know you know what you don't want, but what do you want? You can't get what you want until you know what you want. Say that with me. I can't get what I want until I know what I want. Okay, so first step is getting definite on what you want, not something vague like, I want to be happy. Everybody want to be happy. How will you know when you are happy? What are some things that will be present when you are happy? How will you feel when you are happy? Happy is vague. More money is vague. A better job is vague. What type of better job? What does a better job look like? If you woke up in the morning and you had a better job, how would you know? Right. Secondly, construct an event which you believe you would encounter following the fulfillment of your desire. So, so far we got 2 steps. The first step in changing the future is desire. That is, define your objective. Know definitely what you want. Second, construct. Construct. Imagine. Use your head. Come out of the 5 senses. Get in your imagination and construct an event which you believe you would encounter following the fulfillment of your desire. An event which, which implies fulfillment of your desire. Something that will have the action of self- Predominant. Thirdly, immobilize the physical body and induce a condition akin to sleep. Lie on a bed or relax in a chair and imagine that you are sleepy. Then, with the eyelids closed and your attention focused on the action you intend to experience in imagination, mentally feel yourself right into the proposed action, imagining all the while that you are actually performing the action here and now. You must always participate in the imaginary action, not merely stand back and look on, but you must feel that you are actually performing the action so that the imaginary sensation is real to you. I'm gonna put a dot right here so when I do pick the book back up, I won't have to take time to remember where we stopped at. What's going on, guys? Thank y'all for joining in on the screen. Use the comment section, talk to me. I'm live over here on YouTube. If you want to be live and in the mix Join us on YouTube. Go on YouTube, type in Big Abundant, hit that subscribe button. But, um, from time to time I am jumping over here on IG seeing what's going on. But if you want to be live in any event and have your comments actually pop up on the screen and have, have them where I can see them, get your butt over here on YouTube and kick it with us. So we just talked about a process for changing our futures, gave us 4 steps. Was it 4 steps or 3 steps? 4. I don't remember, but we're gonna summarize it and break it down. So the first step was getting clear on what you want. You cannot hit a target that don't exist. Getting clear on what you want. Instead of going more money, I want $10,000, I want $1,000. Instead of saying better job, I want a job at this company, this role. Like, getting clear on what you want. Step 1, getting clear on what you want. Step 2, Imagine coming up with an event that would have to be true had that thing happened. If your goal was to get $10,000, an event that would have to be true if that, if that was to happen is you could go on your phone, open your banking app, see the balance of $10,000, right? Okay. So, and after you know exactly what you want, after you'd imagine the event That would be true had that thing happened. Third step was to immobilize your body. Lie down flat on your back, close your eyes, and just relax and let go. And all you got to do from there is simply imagine that event that you thought of. The goal was $10,000. Lie down, relax, pay attention to your breathing for a little while. Take your senses off of the bills. Forget about the kids, forget about the relationship, forget about the job, forget about all of that stuff just for a little while. Close your eyes, go inside, and imagine picking up your phone, clicking on that banking app, using your Face ID or putting your password in, and clicking on account balance and seeing that $10,000. And don't just see the $10,000, feel the excitement that you would feel Had it been real. That's the process. And one thing I've learned as a hypnotist is that your subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between something that you vividly imagine and reality. That's why you can watch a scary movie and get scared. That's why you can watch an action movie and get excited. That's why you can watch porn and get aroused, because it's a part of you that can't tell the difference between something happening on the screen and something actually happening. And that's the part of you that we're altering, because your body is going to react to whatever that part of you believes to be true. Any of y'all been playing around with these VR headsets, man? You put that VR headset on, play some of them games, after about 30 seconds you forget that you playing a game. And if you falling on the VR headset, you feel like you falling in real life and you looking for something to grab. It's a part of you that can't distinguish the difference, and what we're doing is using that part of you to condition you for the success that's on the way. Okay, so we got the process down. Come up with the goal, get clear on what we want, exactly what we want. Cannot hit a target that don't exist. After we know exactly what we want, make up an event that would have to be true, that would only be possible if that thing already happened. Okay. Now once we know the event, we're gonna lie down or sit down, we're gonna get comfortable, and we're gonna immobilize our body. We're not gonna be walking, we're not gonna be looking around, we're gonna close our eyes, we're gonna be absent from the body and present with the Father. Okay, now once we absent from the body and present with the Father, eyes closed, being still, completely relaxed, We're going to imagine the event in first person. We're not going to imagine it as happening and we watching it happen. We're going to imagine it as us doing it, feeling the phone in our hand, clicking on the app, going through the motions. And we're going to become aware of the event and experience that event. That's the process. Let's keep going in the text. It is important always to remember That the proposed action must be one which follows the fulfillment of your desire, and also you must feel yourself into action until it has all the vividness and distinctness of reality. For example, suppose you desire promotion in your office. Being congratulated would be an event you would encounter following the fulfillment of your desire. Having selected this action as the one you will experience in imagination, Immobilize the physical body and induce a state akin to sleep, a drowsy state, but one in which you are still able to control the direction of your thoughts, a state in which you are attentive without effort. Now imagine that a friend is standing before you. Put an imaginary hand into his. First feel it to be solid and real, then carry on an imaginary conversation with him in harmony with the action. Do not visualize yourself at a distance in point of space and at a distance in point of time being congratulated on your good fortune. Instead, make elsewhere here and the future now. The future event is a reality now in a dimensionally larger world, and oddly enough, now in a dimensionally larger world, it is equivalent to here in the ordinary 3-dimensional space of everyday life. The difference between feeling yourself in action here and now and visualizing yourself in action as though you were on a motion picture screen is the difference between success and failure. So he just said visualizing this from an associative view versus visualizing this from a disassociated view is the difference between success and failure. One thing we do as a hypnotist, if we helping somebody get over a trauma or overcome a phobia, we gonna disassociate them from that. Let me move over, I'm off the camera. We're gonna disassociate them from that thing. We don't want you to experience in first person because from first person it's taking control of you and it's, and it's immobilizing you, it's freezing you. So things we don't want, we disassociate you from. But when we help somebody feel more confident when we helping somebody feel successful, when we want— when we want to bring something close to somebody, we associate them with it. We want them to imagine it in the first-person view. Disassociation, we'll use something like a 6-step reframe, put distance between them and the event. But things we want to embody, things we want them to experience, we gonna have them imagine things in a first-person view. So things that you want to bring into your life, you want to see them in that First-person view, and you want to bring it to the senses. If this was real, what would I hear? What would I feel? How would I position my body? Would I be happy? Would I have my shoulders hunched over and head down, or would I have my shoulders back, chest out, and my head up? How would I feel if this was happening right now? And act that out. Let's get back in it. The difference will be appreciated if you will now visualize yourself climbing the ladder. Then with eyelids closed, imagine that the ladder is right in front of you and feel you're actually climbing it. Let's take a minute. And imagination is one of those things that you got to practice. Everybody has a powerful imagination. Think about when you were a kid, man. You'll take a stick— that stick could be a gun, that stick could be a fire hose, that stick could be a lightsaber, that, that stick could be so many things. I remember when I was a kid, I had this box. I don't know what my mom had bought. She bought something that came in a big box. I took that box in the backyard and I made me a spaceship out of that box. Cut me a little door in it and I could go in there. And I ain't have much, just a little door and imaginary steering wheel, a little window cut out of it. And that was my spaceship, man. It rained and the rain destroyed my box. You would have thought I had really lost a spaceship. Because in my mind it wasn't a box anymore, it was a spaceship. And when that rain destroyed my spaceship, I felt some type of way, but it was just a box. But in my mind it was a spaceship. So I want you right now— now if you're driving or something like that, you, you pass on this— but if you're not driving, I want you to close your eyes and vividly imagine a ladder in front of you. Now, your ladder might be wood, it might be metal, it might be one of those little fold-up ladders, it might be one of the real long ones that you like lean against the roof of a house. Visualize your ladder, see your ladder. I want you to imagine reaching out with your left hand, grabbing one of the, the prongs, the sticks, whatever you call them, the steps. I want you to pick up your right foot and put it down on that bottom step. Now I want you to take your right hand and reach up to one of the higher prongs and pull yourself up and imagine lifting up that left foot. And I want you to just— I'm gonna shut up in a little bit. I want you to vividly imagine climbing this ladder. 1, 2, 3. Wide awake. Come back to now. And if you have trouble imagining, that's a good exercise that you could practice to get more familiar with the process of imagining and, and disciplining your mind to focus on one thing. Concentration is going to be really important in a lot of the stuff we're talking about. Concentration is mandatory in unlocking your goals. You got to be able to lock on one thing and focus on that one thing despite everything else that's going on. So that's a good tool that you can start running through just to get more familiar with your imagination. Desire. Physical immobility bordering on sleep and imaginary action in which self-feeling predominates here and now are not only important factors in altering the future, but they are also essential conditions in consciously projecting the spiritual self. If, when the physical body is immobilized, we become possessed of the idea to do something and imagine that we are doing it here and now and keep the imaginary action feelingly, going right up until sleep ensues, we are likely to awaken out of the physical body to find ourselves in a dimensionally larger world with a dimensionally larger focus and actually doing what we desired and imagined we were doing in the flesh. But whether we awaken there or not, we are actually performing the action in the 4th dimensional world, and we will reenact it in the future here in the 3rd dimensional world. Experience has taught me to restrict the imagination action, to condense the idea which is to be the object of our meditation into a single act, and to reenact it over and over until it has the feeling of reality. Otherwise, the attention will wander off along an associate— an associational track, and host of associated images will be presented to our attention. In a few seconds, they will lead us Hundreds of miles away from our objective in point of space and years away in point of time. So all he's saying right there is pick one event that would have to be true had that thing already happened and work with that one every night as you drifting off to sleep. Don't be like, well, if this would happen and something else would happen, is this happen— I'm gonna do this one this night and this one this night and this one this night. Pick One event. If you want the promotion at work, imagine your friend Sheila going, congratulations, girl, it's a dude, you, you deserve it. And you and Sheila having that same conversation every night as you drift off to sleep. Don't do it like imagining Sheila telling you congratulations tonight, the next day you imagining your family throwing you a party, the next day you imagining your husband coming home with roses. Like, pick one event. Pick the one that excites you the most. Pick the one you relate to the most and focus on that one every night, because that's going to do is discipline the mind to focus. And you're gonna get better and better and better at imagining that one, and the details gonna get more and more and more vivid the more you imagine that one. So pick you one event and massage that one into the mind. And when you thinking, don't Like, be like straining for— it's just a relaxed imagining. Lay back with the same type of relaxation you'll watch TV with. You're not making it happen. Are you not making it happen? You witnessing it happen. Okay, it's, it's subtle. Just relax. Don't be feeling the absence of it. Really live the experience. Allow yourself to go there. If you need some help, book a session with, with Big Abundant. He got you. Shameless plug. If we decide to climb a particular flight of stairs because that is the likely event to follow the realization of our desires, then we must restrict the action to climbing that particular flight of stairs. Should our attention wander off, we must bring it back to its task of climbing that flight of stairs and keep on doing so until the imaginary action has all the solidity and distinctness of reality. The idea must be tamed in the field of presentation without any sensible effort on our part. We must, with the minimum of effort, permeate the mind with the feeling of the wish fulfilled. Don't be in there efforting. Don't be in there trying too hard. Just see it happening the same way you sitting here Watching me, listening to me. You're not making me talk, you're not making me do anything. You're just sitting back witnessing what is happening. And you want to be the same way when you visit that 4th dimensional place to create your future. See that one event, don't make it happen, see it happen. Facilitates change because it favors attention without effort, but it must not be pushed to the stage of sleep. in which we shall no longer be able to control the movements of our attention, but rather a moderate degree of drowsiness in which we are still able to direct our thoughts. A most effective way to embody a desire is to assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled, and then in a relaxed and sleepy state repeat over and over again like a lullaby any short phrase which implies fulfillment of our desires, such as thank you, as though we addressed a higher power for having done it for us. If however we seek a conscious projection into a dimensionally larger world, then we must keep the action going right up until sleep ensues. Experience in imagination with all the distinctness of reality what would be experienced in the flesh were you to achieve your goal, and you shall in time meet it in the flesh as you met it in your imagination. Feed the mind with premises—that is, assertions presumed to be true because assumptions. Through unreal— though unreal to the senses, if presented, and until they have the feeling of reality, will harden into facts. To an assumption, all means which promote its realization are good. It influences the behavior of all by inspiring in all the movements, the action, and the words which tend towards its fulfillment. To understand how man molds his future in harmony with his assumption, we must know what we mean by dimensionally larger world. For it is to a dimensionally larger world that we go to, to alter our future. The observation of an event before it occurs implies that the event is predetermined from the point of view of a man in the 3-dimensional world. Therefore, to change the conditions here in the 3 dimensions of space, we must first change them in the 4 dimensions of space. Man does not know exactly what is meant by a dimensionally larger world. And would no doubt deny the existence of a dimensionally larger self. He is quite familiar with the 3 dimensions of length, width, and height, and he feels that if there were a 4th dimension, it should be just as obvious to him as the dimensions of length, width, and height. A dimension is not a line. It is any way in which a thing can be measured that is entirely different from all other ways. That is, to measure a solid 4th dimensionally, we simply measure In any direction except that of its length, width, and height. Is there another way of measuring an object other than those of length, width, and height? Time measures my life without employing the 3 dimensions of length, width, and height. There is no such thing as an instantaneous object. Its appearance and disappearance are measurable. It endures for a definite length of time. We can measure its lifespan without using the dimensions of Length, width, and height. Time is definitely a 4th way of measuring an object. The more dimensions an object has, the more substantial and real it becomes. A straight line, which lies entirely in one dimension, acquires shape, mass, and substance by the addition of dimensions. What new quality would time, the 4th dimension, give which would make it just as vastly superior to solids as solids are to surfaces? and surfaces are to lines. Time is a medium for change and experience because all change takes time. The new quality is changeability. I observed that if we bisect a solid, its cross-section will be the surface. By bisecting the surface, we obtain a line, and by bisecting a line, we get a point. This means that a point is but a cross-section of a line, which is in turn but a cross-section of a surface, which is in turn but a cross-section of a solid, which is in turn, if carried to its logical conclusion, but a cross-section of a 4-dimensional object. We cannot avoid the inference that all 3-dimensional objects are but cross-sections of 4-dimensional bodies, which means when I meet you, I meet a cross-section of the 4-dimensional you. The 4-dimensional self that is not seen. To see the 4-dimensional self, I must see every cross-section or moment of your life from birth to death and see them all coexisting. My focus should take in the entire array of sensory impressions which you have experienced on Earth, plus those you might encounter. I should see them not in the order in which they are experienced by you, but as a present whole, because change is the characteristic of the 4th dimension. I should see them in a state of flux as a living, animated whole. Let's see, I got a little pop-up here. Y'all sticking with me? Stick with me, stick with me, man. We having fun. If we all have this clearly fixed in our minds, what does it mean to us in this 3-dimensional world? It means that if we can move along time's length we can see the future and alter it as so we desire. This world which we think so solidly real is a shadow out of which and beyond which we may at any time pass. It is an abstraction from a more fundamental and dimensionally larger world, or more— a more fundamental world abstracted from a still more fundamental and dimensionally larger world, and so on to infinity. The absolute is unattainable by any means or analysis, no matter how many dimensions we add to the world. Man can provide the existence of a dimensionally larger world simply by focusing his attention on an invisible state and imagining that he sees and feels it. If he remains concentrated in this state, his present environment will pass away and he will awaken in a dimensionally larger world where the object of his contemplation will be seen as a concrete objective reality. Intuitively, I feel that Were he to abstract his thought from this dimensionally larger world and retreat still further within his mind, he would again bring about an externalization of time. He would discover that every time he retreats into his inner mind and brings about an externalization of time, space, and becomes dimensionally larger, and he would therefore conclude that both time and space are serial, that the drama of life is but climbing of a multitudinous dimensional time block. Scientists will one day explain why there is a serial universe, but in practice, how we use the serial universe to change the future is more important. To change the future, we need only concern ourselves with what 2 worlds in the infinite, infinite series— the world we know by reason of our bodily organs and the world we perceive independently of our bodily organs. Oh, that was wordy, but it makes sense. But it makes sense. We got the 3 dimensions. We got this stuff we can taste, touch, smell, feel, and see. But before this highlighter was a highlighter as I see it, it had to be a concept in somebody's imagination. They had to start with a desire. I got a desire to be able to look at this page I read, and the next time I look at it, be able to go right to this line that was important to me. And I had to pose a question to myself, how could I make that happen? Then I had to come out of this 3-dimensional world, out of this length, width, height world, and I had to go close my eyes and go inside of here. And I had to try a series of things to experiment within here. Then when I found the aha, the spark, like that, that could work— when I found that in here, I had to close my eyes and just keep focusing on it. And the longer I focused on it, the pieces started filling in. Then as I sat with it long enough, I finally got the, the pieces that I needed. I got a picture of those pieces in here. And now that I had a picture of those pieces in here, I was able to go out there and construct this. But I couldn't construct this until I spent time with it, creating it in here. I had to go into the future in here And see this before I could go create this. That's all that— all of that we just read, that's all it's saying. Before this could be something I could taste, touch, feel, and see, I had to create it in here. And if I would have never created it in here, it would have been impossible for me to hold it in my hand. I had to see it with my internal eye before I could ever see it with my external eyes. That's all it's saying. Let's see how long this next section is. See, do we got time to get into it? Yeah, we gonna push through. All right, it's gonna be our last chapter for today. Let's get it. Assumptions become facts. Men believe in the reality of the external world because they do not know how to focus and condense their powers to penetrate its thin crust. This book has only one purpose: the removing of the veil of the senses, the traveling into another world. To remove the veil of the senses, we do not employ great effort. The objective world vanishes by turning our attention away from it. We only have— we, we have only to concentrate on the state desired in order to mentally see it. But to give it reality so that it will become an objective fact, we must focus attention upon this invisible state until it has the feeling of reality. When through concentrated attention our desire appears to possess the distinctness and feeling of reality, we have given it to the— we have given it the right to become a visible, concrete fact. I'm gonna read that again. When through concentrated attention Our desire appears to possess the distinctness and feeling of reality. We have given it the right to become a visible, concrete fact. If it is difficult to control the direction of your attention while in a state akin to sleep, you may find gazing fixedly into an object very helpful. Do not look at its surface, but into and beyond any plain object such as a wall A carpet, or any other object which possesses depth. Arrange it to return as little reflection as possible. Imagine that it is the depth you are seeing and hearing what you want to see and hear until your attention is exclusively occupied by the imagined state. At the end of your meditation, when you awake from your controlled waking dream, you feel as though you have returned from a great distance. The visible world which you had shut out returns to consciousness, and by its very presence informs you that you have been self-deceived into believing the object of your contemplation was real. But if you know that consciousness is the one and only reality, you will remain faithful to your vision, and by this sustained mental attitude confirm your gift to reality and prove that you have the power to give reality to your desires, that they may become visible concrete facts. Define your ideal and concentrate your attention upon the idea of identifying yourself with your ideal. Assume the feeling of being it, the feeling that would be yours were you already the embodiment of your ideal. Then live and act upon this conviction. This assumption, though denied by senses, if persisted in, will become fact. You will know when you have succeeded in fixing the desired state in consciousness by simply looking mentally at the people you know. In dialogues with yourself, you are less inhibited and more sincere than in actual conversation with others. Therefore, the opportunity for self-analysis arises when you are surprised by your mental conversations with others. If you see them as you formerly saw them, you have not changed your concept of self. But all change of concept of self results in a changed relationship to the world. In your meditation, allow others to see you as they would see you were you this new concept of self. You always seem to others an embodiment of the ideal you inspire. Therefore, in meditation, when you contemplate others, you must be seen by them mentally as you would be seen by them physically were your concept of self objective fact. This is, in meditation, you imagine that they see you expressing that which you desire to be. If you assume that you are what you want to be, your desire is fulfilled and in fulfillment. All alongside is neutralized. You cannot continue desiring what you have already realized. Your desire is not something you labor to fulfill. It is recognizing something you already possess. It is assuming the feeling of being that which you desire to be. Believing and being are one. The conceiver and his conception are one. Therefore, that which you conceive yourself to be can never be so far off as even to be near. For nearness implies separation. If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23. Being is the substance of things hoped, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1. If you assume that you are what you want to be, then you will see others as they are related to your assumption. If, however, it is the good of others that you desire, then in meditation You must represent them to yourself as already being that which you desire them to be. It is through desire that you rise above your present sphere, and the road from longing to fulfillment is shortened as you experience in imagination what you would experience in the flesh, where you already the embodiment of the ideal you desire to be. I have stated that man has at every moment of time the choice before him which of several futures he will encounter. But the question arises, how is it that— how is it possible when the experiences of man awake in the 3-dimensional world are predetermined, as his observation of an event before it occurs implies? This ability to change the future will be seen if we liken the experience of life on Earth to this printed page. Man experiences events on Earth singly and successfully in the same way that you are now experiencing the words of this page. Imagine that every word on this page represents a single sensory impression. To get context, to understand my meaning, you focus your vision of the first word in the upper left-hand corner. Then you move focus across the page from left to right, letting it fall on the words singly and successfully. By the time your eyes reach the last word on the page, you have extracted My meaning. Suppose, however, on looking at the page with all the printed words, their own equally present, you decided to rearrange them. You could, by rearranging them, tell an entirely different story. In fact, you could tell many different stories. A dream is nothing more than uncontrolled 4-dimensional thinking— excuse me— a rearrangement of both past and future sensory impressions. Man seldom dreams of events in the order in which he experiences them when awake. He usually dreams of 2 or more events which are separated in time fused into a single sensory impression, or in his dream he so completely rearranges his single waking sensory impressions that he does not recognize them when he encounters them in his waking state. For example, I dreamed that I delivered a package to the restaurant in my apartment building. The hostess said to me, You can't leave that there. Whereupon the elevator operator gave me a few letters, and as I thanked him for them, he in turn thanked me. At this point, the night elevator operator appeared and waved a greeting to me. The following day, as I left my apartment, I picked up a few letters which had been placed at my door. On my way down, I gave the day elevator operator a tip and thanked him for taking care of my mail, whereupon he thanked me for the tip. On my return home that day, I overheard a doorman say to the delivery man, you can't leave that there. As I was about to take the elevator up to my apartment, I was attracted by a familiar face in the restaurant. As I looked in, the hostess greeted me with a smile. Late that night, I escorted my dinner guests to the elevator and I said goodbye to them. The night operator waved goodnight to me. By simply rearranging a few things of single sensory impressions, I was desensitized to encounter— I was destined to encounter. And by fusing 2 or more of them into single sensory impressions, I constructed a dream which differed quite a bit from my waking experience. We have learned to control the movement of our attention in the 4-dimensional world. We shall be able to consciously create circumstances in the 3-dimensional world. We learn this control through the waking dream, where our attention can be maintained without effort. For attention minus effort is indispensable to changing our future. I'm gonna read that again. Attention minus effort is indispensable to changing the future. We can, in a controlled waking dream, consciously construct an event which we desire to experience in the 3-dimensional world. The sensory impressions we use to construct our waking dream are present realities displaced in time of the 4-dimensional world. All that we do in constructing a waking dream is to, is to select from the vast array of sensory impressions those which, when they are Properly arranged, simply, then we have realized our desire. With the dream clearly defined, we relax in a chair and induce a state of consciousness akin to sleep, a state which, although bordering on sleep, leaves us in conscious control of the movements of our attention. When we have achieved the state, we experience an imagination which we would experience in reality were this waking dream an objective fact. And applying this technique change the future. It is important always to remember that the only thing which occupies the mind during the waking dream is the waking dream, the predetermined action which implies the fulfillment of our desire. How the waking dream becomes physical fact is not our concern. Our acceptance of the waking dream as physical reality wields the means for its fulfillment. Let me again lay the foundation of changing the future, which is nothing more than a controlled waking dream. Define your objective. Know definitely what you want. Construct an event which you believe you will encounter following the fulfillment of your desire, something which will have the action of self predominant, an event which implies the fulfillment of your desire. Immobilize the physical body and induce a state of consciousness akin to sleep. Then mentally feel yourself right into the proposed action, imagining all the while that you are actually performing the action here and now, so that you experience in imagination what you would experience in the flesh were you now to realize your goal. Experience has convinced me that this is the perfect way to achieve my goal. However, my own many failures would convict me were I to imply that I have completely mastered the movements of my attention. I can, however, with the ancient teachers say, this one thing I do: forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth into those things which are before, I press toward the mark of the prize. Philippians 3:1-14. All right, so we'll be picking up tomorrow on chapter 3, Power of Imagination. Let me see how long we got left in this chat.
