Happy holidays, New Year rolling in. It's your first time rocking with me, I'm Coach Jay. I'm a high-performance hypnotist, hypnotize athletes, entrepreneurs, executives, founders. I'm a firm believer that every problem is a thinking problem. Every problem is a thinking problem. If you could think it, you could do it. If you can't think it, you can't do it. And there's far too many people out here trying to execute things that they can't think. You gotta be able to think. You gotta hold it in your head before you can hold it in your hands. If you start holding it in your head on purpose, if you start holding it in your head in a way where you're adding emotion, what's gonna happen is you're gonna start moving in that direction on accident. You're gonna start reading different books on accident. You're gonna start listening to different podcasts on accident. You gotta stop trying to control the uncontrollable. Controlable and take full control over what you can control. You can control this. You can control this. That out there, you can't. You don't have direct control over that. They have an indirect control over that because it is responding to what's going on in here and what's going on in here. But when you try to bypass this and go to control that, you about to annoy yourself. You about to mess with your confidence, and you about to convince yourself to You're not who you are. As you remember who you are, you are our creator. But these aren't your creative tools. These is your creative tool. This can only do what this right here tells it to do. You got to get this in order. This has to listen to this. That out there has to respond to this. So directly control your thoughts. You got to get into the habit of thinking and feeling on purpose. You got to stop being like a ping pong, like a pinball out here. Just getting knocked all over the place. You got to start thinking on purpose. What do I want? Since I can be, do, and have anything I desire, what do I want? And I encourage you to slow down and really sit with that, man. Thousands of clients in, the trend that I see is most people don't know what they want. They can clearly articulate what they don't want. They can get— they dot every i, they cross every t, they give you all the Details when they're describing what they don't want. When it comes to what they do want, they just want to be happy. They just don't want to feel like this anymore. I don't know what I want, Coach. I just want something different. The reason you don't have it is because you can't define it. Well, Jay, I know what I want. It's just— no, you don't know what you want. You got the gist of what you want. You know what you don't want to have, but you gotta look. You're giving all this energy to what you don't want. You're giving all this clarity to what you don't want, and what you do want is vague. Your nervous system is going to go toward the clarity. Your endocrine system is going to respond to the clarity. Your reticular activation system is going to filter based on the clarity. So when all the clarity is in what you don't want, you have none of that clarity in what you do want, you're telling your, your system, hey, this is important. This thing that I don't want is really important. Does that make sense? You got to get crystal clear about what you want. What do I want. But Coach Jay, I don't know what I want. You're gonna have to— you have to put some time into it. You have to give up some of that Netflix time. You have to give up some of that TikTok time. You have to give up some of that YouTube time and start asking yourself, what do I want? When you notice stuff you don't like, you got to stop getting hypnotized by what you don't like and start saying, I don't like that, what would I rather have? And you spend some time, you spend a season asking yourself that question. Over and over again. What do I want? Getting into your imagination and playing, treating your imagination like a dressing room, just getting in there, trying different characters on, trying different personalities on, trying different careers on, trying different things on within your imagination until you sort through it and find what you want. And when you find it, it's like a good pair of jeans. When you slide on a good pair of jeans, you don't gotta wonder, do you like them? You're not going, okay, maybe. You put on a good pair of jeans, you know right away, I like these. I like the way they fit. I like the way I feel them. You got to get in your imagination and start trying stuff on. Get in that dressing room, that same dressing room that you use to create anxiety, that same dressing room that you use to stay stuck. Get in that dressing room and start trying on success. Figure out what's your flavor of success. Figure out what's your flavor of winning. Figure out what's the life that you want to build, because you gotta, you gotta know what it is before you try to build it. A lot of times you're struggling because you're trying to build something that you haven't Define. You are a human. You can be doing anything you desire, and you're so limitless, you're so powerful that you can accidentally choose bondage. It's time to come out of bondage, but the key is clarity. The key to breaking out of that bondage is clarity. You got to get clear about where you're headed. A lot of times in life, you're not running toward what you want, you're just running away from what you don't want. A lot of entrepreneurs I coach, myself included, when I first got into entrepreneurship, it wasn't about what I wanted to build, it was about what I didn't want to do. It was about what I didn't want people telling me what to do. I didn't want to have to clock in. I didn't want the amount of money. My, my whole motivation was what I didn't want. So when I got away from what I didn't want, what do you think happened to the motivation? Get under the influence of what you want. You want your nervous system primed to what you want, not what you don't want. You want your focus locked on to what you want, not what you don't want. If you can think it, you can do it, guys. Listen to me. If you can think it, you can do it. If you can't think it, you can't do it. Your only limit in life is you. Nothing can stop you. The economy can't stop you. The cost of gas can't stop you. The cost of eggs can't stop you. Divorce can't stop you. Disease can't stop you. PTSD, anxiety, ADD, ADHD, getting laid off— nothing can stop you. Now, it's all sorts of things you can focus on and decide to quit, but that thing didn't stop you. That's just what had your attention when you decided to quit. I need you to start thinking on purpose so that you can understand. You can't quit out there until you quit in here. If you never quit in here, you don't got to worry about quitting out there. If you never give up in here, you don't got to worry about giving up out there. But the way that you stop yourself from giving up in here is you got to start thinking on purpose. You got to start thinking on purpose. Now, as you start thinking on purpose, as soon as your mind starts to go toward giving up, you say, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, get your ass back over here. Over here. We're going that way. You see that big, shiny, pretty goal right there? That's what I want. And that's what we're going to focus on. We're not focusing on what's not working. We're not focusing on what's not happening. We're focusing on the desired goal. But as you start to focus over there, you start to think over there, you start to feel over there, you start to align to the frequency of what's going on over there. Then you accidentally meet people who want to mentor you. You accidentally meet people who want to pour into— when you focus on what you don't want, when you think in the direction what you don't want, you're going to accidentally find people who get it. People who want to complain with you, people who want to compare stories. Oh, you think that's something? Let me tell you, at least you, at least you got a job. I don't think you're going to easily find people to race you to the bottom. You don't want people racing you to the bottom. You want people racing you to the top. You want resources in your contact list. You don't want people who understand the problem and get the problem. You want people who understand your solution in your life. You want people who can help you, people who can pour into you, people who can motivate you, people who can inspire. Y'all can bounce ideas off each other and get some momentum rolling. You don't want somebody to come sit in the quicksand with you. You want somebody who gonna coach you up this damn mountain. That's gonna require you to think on purpose, because the people who think on purpose not gonna deal with the complaining and the sadness and the poor. Hey, hey, man, hey, I'mma pray for you and I'mma get on out of here because I got, I got a goal to go build. I got a vision to fulfill. You got to think on purpose. If you can think it, you can do it. If you can't think it, you can't do it. But before you can think it, you got to know what it is. Do you know what you want? That's my question to you. Do you know what you want? Somebody might be listening to this video going close to say, I don't know what I want. I encourage you to sit down with— figure it out. If you need to get in our Wednesday, Thursday workshop, you need to get in the 2-day. The next one is January 7th. Get in contact with me so I can tell you how to get in there. But if you— you gotta figure out what you want. No technique can save you. No book can save you. No guru, no therapist, no— nobody can save you. Nobody can even help you until you get clear about what do you want. I know you know what you don't want, and it's probably one of your favorite subjects, but you gotta start spending that time Thinking in the direction of what you want. I teach my clients a 5-step process. Step 1 is clarity. The other 4 steps can't even— you can't even begin the other 4 steps without clarity. Nothing to calibrate to, nothing to become confident in, nothing to be consistent in. Got to get clear about what you want. Got to get clear about what you want. Start getting clarity and watch how you start noticing things. Numbers is already in your phone. They can help you get it. I went to high school with him. I know her. That's my sister's best friend. Watch out, it's people already in your life who can help you. You just don't know what you want, so you don't even know to ask for help. And when you ask me for help and you ain't clear, man, I'm not— you asking me to sit down and help your brain start thinking? I'm not doing that. Now, if it's as simple as me sending a phone call, if it's as simple as me shooting off a text message, This is simple as me making an introduction and you got clarity. Well, you'd be surprised how easy I pull out my phone and introduce you to somebody. But you say, yeah, I kind of wanna— I'm not introducing you to nobody in my contact list, and you kind of want to do this. And no, get clear about what you want. You'll be surprised the people who waiting to help you when you get clear about what you want, when you got clarity and you got direction. And not only that, it's going to change the way you walk in the room when you know where you headed. You walk different, you talk different, you got a different look in your eyes, you got a different energy about you, your body language is different, you shake hands different. Get you some clarity. You're not dumb, you're not stupid, you're not a bad speaker. You just don't know what you're talking about. And it's not because you not capable, it's because you don't know what it is. Get clarity. Watch how you accidentally change your confidence level when you get clear. Of course you unconfident if you don't know what the Fuck you going? Excuse me, my French, but I get fired up about this. Why would why would you be confident if you don't know what where you going? How would you be influential if you don't know where you going? How you gonna influence me if you can't influence you? Where are you going? Figure that out. Figure that out. Figure that out with the understanding that you allowed to change your mind. Sometimes I think people scared to commit to something because they feel well if I write it down you can change your mind. When I first started doing what I do, I wanted to. Be booked and busy. So I did what was necessary to get booked and busy. After I got booked and busy, guess what? I changed my mind. I didn't like it. Oh shit, I don't want to be booked and busy. It's a lot of y'all. I gotta talk to all y'all, then go home and talk to more people. Where's my recharge? I'm an introvert. I need to— okay, you know what? It's time to quadruple the price and empty the schedule out a little bit. You allowed to change your mind, but you got to be walking towards something at all times. I don't care if you change your mind six months from now. I need you walking towards something. You don't know what to read until you walk towards something. You don't know what to listen to till you walk towards something. You waiting on a guru, you waiting on a coach, you waiting on a mentor. You don't even know who you need to coach you until you know what you want. Oh, and it's a lot of information in what you don't want, man. Look at it. Don't get hypnotized by it. You gotta learn how to look at what you don't want and not wrap up in it. What? Look at it, leave it over there, dissociate from it. I don't like that. What do I— what would I rather have? They got to become one of your favorite questions as you're figuring this thing out. What would I rather have? You'll be surprised, man. It's just as easy to come up with a problem as it is to come up with a solution. It's just as easy to come up with a solution. But what's got to happen is your focus got to change. But the same creative mechanism that you use to discover problems, it's the same creative mechanism you're going to use to Same way it'll fire off problems and notice problems, when you get that reticular activation system a lot, it's gonna start popping up solutions. Solutions everywhere. Solutions everywhere, man. It's the best of times, it's the worst of times. What are you gonna focus on? What are you gonna calibrate to? What are you gonna get in alignment with? I promise you, it's not— it's not a can't do it. It's a not using my mind in a way that allows me to do it. You could do it. You could do it, man. Whatever it is, you could do it. God not gonna give you a desire that you can't fulfill. You can do it. You're gonna have to start thinking about it. You got to stop making a list of reasons why you can't do it. Start making a list of reasons that you can. It's gonna require you to remember who you are. Like I say, you got to give up some of that Netflix time, some of that TikTok time, some of that YouTube time, and start using your mind on purpose. You got to stop letting your mind do whatever it want to do. You got to put shit back in order. You don't work for your mind. Your mind works for you. You don't work for your thoughts. Your Thoughts work for you. You don't work for your feelings. Your feelings work for you, and you got to start putting they ass to work. But that's gonna require a vision. That's gonna require a vision. I encourage you to start living on purpose. You're not an accident. You are not an accident, man. You had a purpose before you had a name, and it's time to start living on purpose so that you can fulfill that purpose. You're gonna you gonna have a hard time fulfilling a purpose while you living on accident. It's called purpose. You got to live on purpose to activate it. You got to wake up on purpose, get out of bed on purpose, go to bed on purpose. Stop just falling asleep. What emotions, what energy, what thoughts do I want to roll into my day? Let me consciously grab those right now and wrap myself up in those as I fall asleep. Oh, you finna spend 7, 8, 9 hours wrapped up in a consciousness that's setting you up for success tomorrow. You gotta live on purpose, man. You owe it to yourself. You owe it to your kids. You owe it to your future generations to start living on purpose. Start living on purpose. I promise you it's gonna change everything. I promise it's gonna change your friends. It's gonna change your job. It's gonna change your address. It's gonna change what you drive. Start living on purpose. It's gonna change the way you walk. It's gonna change the way you interact with other people. It's gonna change the way you feel about yourself. It's gonna change how other people treat you when you start living up, man. You can tell when you're standing next to a man who know where he going. You can tell when you're standing next to a man who got some purpose, who know where exactly where he headed, know where he want to be 5 years from now, know where he want to be 10 years from now. He ain't even got to have it yet. Just him knowing and taking steps towards it every day is going to change his conception of himself. It's going to change how he feel as a man. It's going to change what he see when he look in the mirror. Yeah, I'm gonna be honest with you, I'm not It's gonna change the way he run his household. Get clear about where you headed. You owe it to yourself. You owe it to yourself, man. You don't remember nothing else, remember this: it's not you can't do it, it's that you're not using your mind in a way that allows you to do it. It was never a matter of could or couldn't. Are you willing to start thinking on purpose? That's the only question you gotta ask yourself. It's things right now that feel hard and feel impossible because you, you've been thinking in a way that primes you to feel that. Start thinking different. Watch how you're gonna find yourself doing things that you used to think— you're gonna— it's not even that hard. I was really overthinking this. I was really approaching this all wrong. If you could think it, you could do it. If you could think it, you could do it. Nothing can stop you except for you. You can stop you. You can always stop you, but nothing outside of you can stop you. It could distract you. It can get you thinking different. It can get you feeling different. Then you gonna come up with the ideas to stop you, but that thing didn't stop you. You just gave your attention to it and took your attention off of what you didn't want. I mean, you took your attention off of what you wanted and put your attention on that thing. So then you start reacting to that thing instead of responding to what you want. Start with focus. A lot of people reach out to me, they might think they got a confidence problem, they might think they got a discipline problem or consistent problem. Usually what they have is a clarity problem and a focus a problem. Sometimes one or the other, sometimes both. But it's not that you can't do it. It's not that you this super undisciplined per— watching all the damn TV, that's discipline. It's not productive discipline, but it's discipline. You got some stuff in your life that you doing consistently. It's not that you're not a consistent per— person. You're not focusing in a way that it's easy for you to be consistent in this thing. You got your— you got your attention sharing this— you got this thing sharing your attention with too much other stuff to pick up any real momentum. Start using your focus on purpose. I'm not Start focusing on purpose. Start sitting down to focus. Start turning that TV off, putting that phone face down, and thinking on purpose. I didn't say you got to do it all day. You'd be surprised what 5 minutes of thinking on purpose would do. You know, you can do it all day, but you'll be surprised with just 5— coming from thinking sloppy all day to going to 5 minutes of concentrated purposeful thought, man. Listen, You just went from a light bulb to a laser beam. Laser can cut through stuff. Laser can etch stuff. A light can lighten it up, but that's it. But you concentrate that light, now you're ready to cut through some stuff. All right, so yo, I love y'all. Ain't nothing y'all can do about it. I'm almost at the office. I just wanted to hop on here and chop it up with y'all real quick. If you haven't hit that subscribe button, you should tap in, man. It's over 700 videos on the YouTube channel, lots of good value. I love y'all, ain't nothing y'all can do about it. I'll see y'all next time, man.
