Coach Jay Shaw argues affirmations don't work because high performers operate from a solid sense of identity, not willpower. He introduces his 12 dimensions of identity model and the 5 C's process as a framework for transformation, and reframes affirmations as a speedometer that reflects identity rather than a gas pedal that forces change.

All right, and let me look at— there we go, pop that up. Cool. So what's going on, man? We're gonna be talking about what we always talk about, the fact that you could be doing, have anything you desire. The fact that nothing can stop you except for you. Your only limit in life is your own imagination. If you could think it, you could do it. If you can't think it, why would you expect to be able to do it? Get on there, we're about to have some fun. Ain't nothing you can't be, ain't nothing you can't do, ain't nothing you can't have. What's going on, Empress? What's going on, Shadow? How y'all doing this morning? What is up? What is up? What is up? What's going on, Rack? How you doing? Get on in here. Get on in. Doing good. Love to hear what the rest of y'all got going. The rest of y'all got going. I wasn't trying to do that. Oh, we go. What's going on, Charles? How you doing? Welcome to the live. Welcome, welcome, welcome. Welcome, welcome, welcome. I'm juggling a whole lot over here on this screen, y'all. Bear with me, we juggling a lot, but we getting everything laid out so I can see it all at once. All right, go put this window over here. Gonna close that completely, don't need it. Close that completely, don't need it. Close that completely, don't need it. There we go. So yeah, man, if it's your first time here, I'm Coach Jay. I'm a clinically trained hypnotherapist. I'm the founder of Identity 2.0. We work with a lot of athletes, entrepreneurs, executives, founders, day traders, MMA fighters. What we do, man, is we help these people get out of their own way. We remind them of who they are, help them walk in these rooms with their shoulders back, their chest out, and their chin up. People come kick it with us when, um, they struggle with things like imposter syndrome, second-guessing themselves, procrastination, anxiety, burnout, lack of motivation, afraid of public speaking. They got certain habits in their life that they want to change, and they've tried the affirmations, they've done the vision boards, the incantations, the meditations. The therapy, the medication, they've tried all of that stuff and life still isn't looking the way that they would like it to look. That's when they come over here and kick it with us and we remind them of who they are, man. We hypnotize the shit out of them, literally. We get all the, all the stuff out of them that don't belong there. We remind them of who they are and we push them back out into the world. And that's when they find themselves accidentally rolling their shoulders back, putting their chest out and putting their chin up. Ain't nothing you can't be. Ain't nothing you can't do. Ain't nothing you can't have. You're going to hear me say that over and over and over again because it's true. If you could think it, you could do it. Now, if you can't think it, guess what? You're gonna have a hard time doing it. But if you could think it, if you could hold it in your head, you can hold it in your hands. Oftentimes I meet people who are trying to hold things in their hands that they can't hold in their head, and that doesn't work. Everything happens in the mind first. You got to win in here before you can win out there. You got to be a successful entrepreneur in here before you can be a successful entrepreneur out there. And if you're not a successful entrepreneur in here and you're trying to use willpower to be a successful entrepreneur out there, I'm not surprised that it's not not working. Okay. I've coached hundreds of high performers. Let me tell you what high performers don't rely on. High performers don't rely on willpower. High performers don't rely on motivation. High performers don't rely on affirmations. That's not their success strategy. They run off of identity. Y'all put identity in the chat. Yeah, I know we just getting started and yep, I'm putting y'all to work already. Put identity in the chat. Identity is the doorway to everything you desire. Identity is the doorway to everything you desire. If you master this concept of identity, if you stop manifesting things, if you start trying to manifest money, if you start trying to manifest relationships, if you manifest identity, you will accidentally accomplish some really cool things. Hold on, y'all, my baby just texted me and said there's an echo in here. Y'all ain't gonna say nothing. Y'all was just gonna sit here and listen to the echo. Give me a second. Thank you, baby. They don't care about me. Give me a second. Let me fix this. I believe I know exactly what the problem is. What's going on, Moochie? Y'all hold on real quick. They say, Coach J, forget the echo. Just just keep bringing the sauce. We'll deal with the echo. Give me a second. I know what's going on. I think we got two microphones picking us up. All right. Did the echo? Okay, I see what's going on. It was that one and that one. Is the echo gone? We good now on the echo? Let me know. Let me know. Let me know. Let me know. Good now? All right, thank you, baby. That mean you watching my room from the outside too, because I don't see you in here. What's going on, Alvaro? Thank you. How you doing? Welcome to the live. Welcome to the live. Welcome to the live. What's up, Tyrone? Ain't nothing you can't be. Ain't nothing you can't do. Ain't nothing you can't have. Your only limit is you. You, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, you. When you look in the mirror, you're looking at your only limit. When you look in the mirror, you're looking at your only limit. The economy can't stop you. The cost of gas can't stop you. The cost of eggs can't stop you. Anxiety can't stop you. Depression can't stop you. A divorce can't stop you. A disease, a diagnosis. Getting laid off can't stop you. Now, it can piss you off. It can hurt your feelings. It can slow you down. It can knock you off balance, but it can't stop you. Like, you got to understand, when people say something stopped me, I'm gonna tell you what Coach J here— Coach J, I was doing so good, then the divorce just stopped me. What Coach J hears is the divorce is what I was focusing on as I quit. The divorce didn't stop you. It's just what had your attention when you quit. Coach J, I was killing it before COVID came. COVID ruined my— COVID didn't ruin your business. You were focusing on COVID while your business went to shit. It didn't stop you. It hijacked your focus. It didn't stop you. It robbed you of your faith. And I'm not saying right, wrong. I'm not saying what you should have and could have did. But I am saying that if we're going to fix it, we got to be honest about what happened. If we're going to fix it, if we're going to get it back on track, we got to talk about what happened and not the cute little story we tell ourselves about this thing stopped. No, it didn't. You gave up. You took your creative forces. You took your creative energies out of the problem and you put them into the solution. You started believing in the solution. I mean, you started believing in the problem more than you believed in the solution. That's what happened. And I'm not saying I've never been there, but if we're going to fix it, we got to talk about what actually happened. There is nothing you can't be. There's nothing you can't do. There's nothing you can't have. If you could think it, you can do it. Everything happens in here first. You got to build it in your mind first. You got to understand you are a human being. You're not a human doing. You're not a human having. You are a human being. You gotta be it first. You gotta be it first, and you gotta understand that being happens inside of you. Being happens inside of you. Being does not happen in your bank account. Being does not happen in your credit report. Being does not happen in the piece of paper that you get from the doctor. Being does not happen at your job. Being happens inside of you. Being happens in your nervous system. Being happens in your endocrine system. Being happens in your reticular activation system. Being happens in your belief architecture. Being happens in the way that you talk to yourself. Being happens inside of you. So a lot of times when I tell people, hey, if you want to get rich, you got to be rich. They saying, Coach, you saying fake it until I make it? No, I'm saying be it. You got to understand, there's nothing fake about being. Nothing. It's nothing fake about being. Being isn't out there. Being is in here. And you got to start looking. I look at being like steam. I look at being like steam. So you got steam, you got water, you got ice, right? Steam, water, and ice are all the exact same thing, just moving at different rates of vibration. Steam. If you got steam, you got water, you got ice. If you got ice, you got water, you got steam. Steam is H2O. Water is H2O. Ice is H2O. Okay, I look at your being like H2O. I mean, I look at your being like steam, and I look at the full-blown manifestation like ice. Okay, if you got steam, you got ice. Now, we would not say that steam is fake and ice is real. No. Is ice more dense than steam? Yes. But steam is just as real as ice. I want you to understand that your thoughts, your beliefs, your expectations, the way that you talk to yourself, although you can't interact with it the way that you interact with ice, is still real. It's still very real, and you got to start treating it as such. And you got to start seeing it as the starting point. It's everything. Like when we look at something like TikTok, you got to understand that once upon, once upon a time, TikTok was only steam. It was an idea in somebody's mind. It was a concept in somebody's mind. Does that make sense? Once upon a time, this microphone was steam. It was an idea in somebody. It was a, you know what would be cool? It was a, I wonder if. It was steam, but it was steam that they kept siding with, that they kept sitting with. It was steam that they kept thinking about. It was steam that they kept feeding. Everything was once just steam, and you got to start getting excited about the steam. If you need it to be ice before you can get excited, you got a problem because you need the excitement to turn it into ice. I'm gonna say it again: if you can only get excited about it once it becomes ice, you got a problem, friend. You gonna need the excitement to turn it into ice. You got to learn how to get excited about your ideas. You got to learn how to look at an acorn and see an oak tree. You got to learn how to look at an itty-bitty acorn and see a big old oak tree. You got to learn how to see the potential in things, starting with yourself, starting with yourself. You got to stop seeing yourself as somebody who's just getting started, somebody who just getting started and everybody else and so forth. You got to start seeing the potential. You got to start seeing what it could be. And you got to get excited about what it could be. I work with a lot of athletes, guys. The first conversation that I have with every athlete is you don't get a trophy and then become a champion. That's not how it works. That's not how it works. You don't get the trophy and then become a champion. What happens is you become a champion. Coach, how I'm supposed to be a champion without a trophy? Being don't, don't happen out there. Being happens in there. We're gonna get you thinking about what champions think about. We're gonna get you talking to yourself the way the champions talk to theyself. We're gonna get you expecting the things the champions expect. We're gonna get you feeling the things that champions feel. We're gonna get you focusing on the things the champions focus on. As I get you running that internal dialogue of champion, as I get you, as I get you running that belief architecture of champion, as I get you having the behavior responses of champion, oh man, you're gonna accidentally start doing what champions do. You're going to accidentally start showing up to practice early and leaving practice late because that's what champions do. You're going to accidentally start watching more film because that's what champions do. You're going to accidentally roll your shoulders back. You accidentally push your chest out. You accidentally lift your chin up because that's how champions walk around. You're going to accidentally— listen to that word, accidentally— you're going to accidentally start holding yourself to a higher standard, start holding your teammates to a higher standard, and y'all going to accidentally go out there and win the championship because that's what champions do. Now, if you need to get a trophy before you can be a champion, you'll never get a trophy. The trophy does not make you a champion. The trophy represents that you are champion. The trophy is not what makes you the champion. The trophy is the proof that you are the champion. Does that make sense? If you got a degree, the degree is not the knowledge. The degree is not the information. The degree is not the certification. It's the representation of the certification. Money is not the value. It's a representation of the value. You want the representation to show up before you even present the thing that it represents. Does that make sense? If you waiting on money to make you rich, you'll never get rich. Money doesn't make millionaires. Millionaires make money. Does that make sense? Put a one in the chat if y'all, if y'all rocking with me. Y'all a little sleepy here. Y'all, y'all was up all night or something. What's going on? Wake up. Hello. Hello, this thing go okay? Y'all with me? Yeah, let's take a few seconds just to tap the screen. Any of y'all watching from outside the live, get your ass in here. What you watching from out there for? Get in here, get in here. Happy Saturday. If it's your first time rocking with us, I'm Coach Jay. I'm a clinically trained hypnotherapist. I'm the founder of Identity 2.0. We hypnotize bosses. We work with a lot of athletes, entrepreneurs, executives, founders, day traders, MMA fighters. Actors, poker players, you name it, man. We get people out of their own way. If you're someone who struggles with imposter syndrome, second-guessing yourself, procrastination, overthinking, anxiety— Coach Jay, I struggle with public speaking, I get nervous on stage, I want to go live but I can't, I, I'm not consistent— get in here. It's an identity problem. Every problem is an identity problem. One thing that I've learned spending the last 20 years in other people's mind is that every problem is an identity problem. You don't have a money problem, you have an identity What's going on? You don't have a consistency problem, friend. You don't have a confidence problem, you have an identity problem. What's going on, Lily? You don't have a consistency problem, you got it— you got an identity problem. And people kill me with the, Coach Jay, I struggle with consistency. No, you don't. No, you don't. People will tell me they struggle with consistency, and as we start talking and really unpacking what's going on, I discovered that they on season 6 of some show. You don't make it to season 6 on the show and struggle with consistency. You don't struggle with consistency, you struggle with the direction that you got it pointed in. You got consistency. Coach Jay, I struggle with confidence. Are you confident in something, friend? Right now it sounds like you're confident in your failure. Right now you sound like you're confident that things don't— but you got— like, don't ever make the mistake of thinking that you don't got confidence. You gotta start asking yourself, what am I confident in? Don't ever make the mistake of thinking I'm not consistent. Oh yes you are. It's something that you're doing consistently. There's some people that you talking to consistently. There's some things that you watch consistently. Consistently. It's some places that you go because I promise you, you got consistency. The question is, is the consistency that I have serving me? You got consistency. You got faith in something. You believe in something. Even when we look at the 12 dimensions, when we look at belief architecture, expectation patterns, attention focus, what you got to understand is you already have an identity. Coach Jay is not giving you something you don't have. We just gonna manufacture it to be something that actually serves you. Like even when we talk about hypnosis, most people don't understand that they are already hypnotized. You already hypnotized. You already telling yourself stories and responding to those stories as if they true. You already getting in here talking yourself into stuff and talking yourself out of stuff. Over here we just do it on purpose. You already doing it. We just do it on purpose. TikTok already hypnotizing the hell out of you. YouTube already hypnotizing the hell out of you. We just do it on purpose over here. We just super transparent about the fact that, yeah, hang out over here, we gonna hypnotize you. I'm gonna hypnotize you to accidentally roll your shoulders back, put your chest out, put your chin up. I'm gonna hypnotize you to accidentally stand on stages boldly. I'm gonna hypnotize you to walk in the rooms with unshakable confidence as if God himself sent you into that room. What do you want? Like, most people can't answer that question. Most people, if you get them talking about what they don't want, they can go all day long. They can tell you everything about what they don't want. Jay, I've been working at this job for 5 years. Keep in mind, I got a master's degree and they only pay me $50,000 a year. What am I supposed to do with $50,000 a year in this economy? My homegirl, she don't even got a degree, Jay. She make $84,000 a year. How does a person without a degree make more money than a person with 2 degrees? When I first started working here, Jay, it was a remote position. Now they got me coming into the office 3 times a week and got me coming in every other weekend, Jay. I got kids. My son plays soccer. I'm missing half of his games. Because they got me coming into the office every other weekend, and my husband Jay, he sees me struggling. It's like he don't even. I say, "Hey, let me ask you something. What do you want?" Well, Jay, I'm just tired of people and how nobody understands. Ah, no, no, friend. I didn't say what are you tired of? Listen to me. What do you want? Well, Jay, I just feel like nobody understands it, and I'm so tired. Friend, hey, come here. I didn't ask you what you tired of. I didn't ask you how you feel. Pay attention to what I'm asking you. What What do you want? Then they look like a deer in headlights. They can't answer the question about what they want. They can tell me everything about what they don't want, whose fault it is, how long it's been going on. But what you gotta understand is you can't get what you want until you know what you want. I got ADHD and own a successful landscape company. Procrastination to start my day is a hurdle. For sure, Carlos. I'm gonna ask— so I got the same question. What do you want? What people gotta understand is when I do what I do, I don't uninstall problems nearly as much as I build solutions. Like if you came to me and say, hey Coach Jay, I really want to stop eating carbs. I'm not gonna make you stop eating carbs nearly as much as I'm gonna get you so busy eating protein. I'm gonna get you so busy drinking water and consuming fiber that you look up and it's 10 PM, it's time to go to bed, and you were so busy hitting your protein goal that you didn't think about carbs. So I'm not— it's not my goal to make you not have ADHD. My goal is to figure out what do you want, what do you want to wake up thinking? What do you want to wake up feeling? What— where do you want your focus to go? And we start training your brain to do that. We start training your nervous system to do that. But we don't have to go take the scenic route and go through what you don't want. You struggling with what you really want? I got something for you, Lily. Um, I'll message you. Well, message me because I'm gonna say I'm gonna message you, then I'm gonna forget. But message me and say, hey, you said you was gonna message me, then that's gonna trigger my memory. And literally, you're not struggling with what you want. Sometimes what you don't want is so loud that you gotta get out of what you don't want to hear it, but it's there. Like when you look at your phone and you— when you look at your bank account and you see not enough, you just gave birth to a desire for more money without even trying. When you talking to somebody in a conversation and you feel disrespected without even trying, you just gave birth to a desire to be respected, to be heard, to feel like what you're saying matters as well. Anytime you're looking at what you don't want, you're actually 180 degrees away from what you want. Like when I was in the military and I didn't like it and I hated it because I couldn't grow my beard and I couldn't wear my nose ring and I couldn't braid my hair and I couldn't travel and move freely. I didn't notice it at first because I was so distracted by what I didn't want. But when I sat down and said, okay, what would I rather have? It was loud as hell. I want to grow my beard. I want to wear my nose ring. I want to travel. I want freedom. I want choice. You know what? I don't want to work. I want to play. I want to play. I want to get paid to do things that I would do for free. I want to get paid to do things that I would do for free. I love hypnosis. I love NLP. I love psychology. I love human behavior. I love neuroscience. I love looking at successful people and reverse engineering how they did it, especially successful people with humble beginnings. I love looking at it, studying it, unpacking and figuring out what changed at what point that they really kick it in together. I want to be a clinically trained hypnotherapist. I want to hypnotize people. I want to hypnotize athletes. I want to hypnotize entrepreneurs and executives and founders. Now understand, as I'm going through this discovery, I'm still wearing camouflage every day. I'm still in combat boots. I'm still going on deployments and TDY. I'm still in the military. But my mind, for the first time in my life, has started moving in the direction of what I wanted. As I set my mind fully to what I wanted, it just dragged my body with it. I accidentally picked up some really good books. Accidentally stumbled and fell into some really good podcasts. I accidentally found some other people who was interested in this stuff, accidentally found me some really good mentors. So, and what oftentimes what struggles people up with figuring out what they want is they try to, they try to put 2 things into one step. They try to figure out what they want and how to get it at the same time. Those are 2 very different steps. I want to make $10,000 a month. How do I make $10,000 a month? Because right now I'm only making $4,000, man. That's an extra $6,000. Where am I gonna get an extra $6,000? That's not the job that we on right now. We on the step of figuring out what do you want. That's always step one. When you look at those 5 C's, the first step is clarity. The first step is clarity. Oftentimes people are trying to hit a goal, hit— trying to hit a finish line. They don't even know where the finish line is at. We got to figure out what do you want so that you can get under the influence of it. Because the version of you that's under the influence of what they don't want is not nearly creative. It's not nearly as driven. It's not nearly as inspiring as a version of you that's under the influence of what they don't— of what they do want. You got to figure out what you want so that you can get your nervous system, so that you get your expectations, so you can get all 12 of those dimensions moving in that direction. And as you get the 12 dimensions moving in that direction, oh man, you're going to accidentally start to figure out the solution. Like, you gotta understand, Lily, I didn't sit down one day and say I want to build something called Identity 2.0. I want to build something called Identity 2.0, and I want to work with professional athletes and entrepreneurs and executives and founders from all over. That's not what I sat down and said. I sat down one day and said, I hate being in the military. I want freedom. I want choice. I want to say what I want to say. I want to do what I want to do. I want to live where I want to live. I want to wear my hair however I want to wear my hair. I don't want to work. I want to play. Now, I don't like being in the military. As I started to like ask that question of what would I rather have over the year, over the coming years, it gave birth to something called Identity 2.0. It gave birth to something called iCoachBosses. It gave birth to something called Night School and Dreams in Action and all these other different businesses that we have. But I didn't just sit down one day and have it all figured out. No, I noticed something I didn't like. But instead of getting hypnotized by what I didn't like, I asked myself, what would I rather have, and I got hypnotized by that. And once you get hypnotized by what you'd rather have, it's like being pregnant with a baby. When you pregnant with a baby, you don't gotta go find the brain, you don't gotta go find the arms, you don't gotta go— you don't gotta build the baby. You just gotta give the baby an environment to grow in. And most people, they letting the baby of what they don't want, they letting that baby grow, but they keep aborting the baby of what they do want. So it's kind of like you pregnant with twins. One of these twins is what you don't want, and one of these twins is what you do want, but you starving the twin this What you want, and you feeding the twin is what you don't want. So what happens? The one that you don't, the the things that you don't want get bigger, and the things that you want they die off because you're not feeding them. So you got to start starving the problem and feeding the solution. Right now the solution small because you haven't been feeding it. Start feeding it; it's gonna get bigger. Start feeding it; it's gonna get bigger. So right now you feel like you don't know what you want because what you don't want is so loud because you've been feeding it for years. Coach Jay, what do you mean I'm feeding it? You on the phone talking about it. You in your journal writing about it. You driving in your car thinking about it. You reliving it over and over again. And what I notice is when people talk about what they don't want, they got energy, they got hand gestures, they got facial expressions, they got stories, they got evidence, they got proof. They get excited when they talk about what they don't want. They got jokes baked in. They got like this whole monologue around what they don't want. But when they start to talk about what they do want, well, Jay, I just want peace. I just want freedom. I just want to open my third eye and I just want to quantum leap and live on my highest timeline. Like, shut up. Shut up. When you was talking about what you don't want, you weren't talking metaphysics and chakras and third eyes. No, you was talking about this bitch named Barbara at your job that you can't stand and how she micromanaging. You weren't talking about chakras and quantum jumping and shifting timelines. You weren't talking about— Like when you was talking about what you don't want, you was telling real stories about real people with real characters, and it was creating real feelings, and it was grabbing your real endocrine system. It was filling your body with, with cortisol and things that stress you out. We got to start describing what we want with that same energy, with that same vigor, with that same level of detail, so you can get under the influence of what you want. Appreciate you, Carlos. There's nothing you can't be, there's nothing you can't do, there's nothing you can't have, but you gotta respect that order. And you gotta understand that the thing that you thought was the problem was never the problem. Anybody who has come over here and worked with us, they'll tell you Coach Jay never studies the problem. I'm all about building the solution. I'm never studying the problem. I'm all about building the solution. If you look at those 5 C's— clarity, what do you want? After we figure out what you want, we move to the second C, calibration. How would you feel if you had it? Okay, let's get you calibrated to that. We keep calibrating until you become confident. Third C, we keep— excuse me, we keep calibrating until you become confident. Once you become confident, then and only then do we go to step 4, which is competence. Competence. We go to competence. We do this— excuse me, we do the stuff after we get clear, calibrated, and confident. This is what screws a lot of people up. They think that step four is step one. Step four is not step one. Coach Jay, I tried networking; it doesn't work. Let me tell you something, sweetheart. Come closer; you can hear me. Why would I want to network with you if you're not clear, calibrated, and confident? Your own nervous system not calibrating with you. Your heart and your brain not even calibrating together. Your your heart going one way, your brain going another. Your thoughts going one way, your beliefs going. How you gonna convince me of something you haven't even got you convinced of? No, go get clear. You out at the networking event. Every time somebody asks you what you do, you tell them something different. You told one person you're an author. You told one person you, um, a speaker. You told another person that you you figuring out. You're in transition. So you might not even be lying, but you feel like a liar. You feel slimy. You feel unclear. You feel uncalibrated. Why do I want to invest in you? Why do I want to do business with you? Why do I want to mentor you? Why do I want to date? No, I don't want to mentor you. I get, I'll take your business card. I'm finna lose it and it, it's not even gonna make it to my car. I promise it's not. I don't like trash in my car. And when you unclear, uncalibrated, and unconfident, and, and I'm in the zone where I'm trying to make money and build, you're trash. Now you a child of God. I'm not saying that you trash, but in that state, you can't, you can't even serve yourself in that state. So you damn sure can't do nothing for me. Get clear, get calibrated, get confident, then go networking. Watch what happens. Get clear, get calibrated, get confident, then go live. Watch what happens. Get clear, get cal— like, I work with a lot of entrepreneurs, and sometimes I look at a website and I could tell that when they built the website, they were unclear, uncalibrated, and unconfident. You know how I could tell? Because now that I'm on the website, I got more questions than I had before I got on the website. I shouldn't have more questions when I get— do you do taxes? Are you a financial What advice am I supposed to buy this book? Am I supposed to book a— I'm confused. And why you got this shade of purple on Instagram, but you got this shade of purple on TikTok? I, I don't know. Now, now your colors, what's going on here? You, I could tell that when you built this website, you were unclear, uncalibrated, and unconfident, and you made step 4 step 1. And you going, Coach Jay, I tried Google Ads, they don't work. Oh, Google Ads work, but your site is unclear, uncalibrated, and unconfident. And it has no choice but to be unclear, uncalibrated, and unconfident because its owner is unclear, uncalibrated, and unconfident. Get clear, get calibrated, get confident. Get clear, get calibrated, get confident, then do the stuff. It makes a world of difference. Understand that knowing what you don't want is not the same thing as knowing what you want. You gotta understand, not wanting to go outta business is not the same thing as wanting to build a thriving business. Not wanting to get divorced is not the same thing as wanting to build a marriage that would stand the test of time. Not wanting your livestream to be lame is not the same thing as wanting to go live and touch as many earballs and eardrums— earballs— eyeballs and eardrums as possible and spread the message that you got to spread. The ideas that you get when you trying not to go out of business are not the ideas that you get when you're trying to build a business that would stand the test of time. The ideas that you get when you don't want the live to be lame are not the ideas that you get when you're trying to build a live that's inspiring people all over the world. Like, let's say I'm going into the weekend and I'm saying, I don't want to argue with my wife. I don't want to argue with my wife. I don't want— you know what I'm gonna do if I don't want to argue with my wife? I'm gonna lock myself in my office. Problem solved. I don't got to argue with her. But what if I'm going into my weekend saying, I want to create a weekend that we never forget? I want to create a weekend that reminds us how much fun we used to have when we first— the ideas that I get when I'm under the influence of what I actually want are not the ideas that I get when I'm running from what I don't want. You understand that running from what you want— running from what you don't want is not the same thing as running toward what you want. Most people that I meet, they're not running toward what they want. They're simply running from what they don't want. Then they end up somewhere else they don't want to be. Put a 1 in the chat if this stuff is making sense. It's a revelation. It makes sense, don't it? Do yourself a favor and get under the influence of what you want. Do yourself a favor and stop saying, well, I don't like this, I don't like that. Okay, I don't like that, and what would I rather have? I don't like that, and what would I rather have? I'm gonna show y'all how this work in real time. Let's say I didn't like the fact that it was only 12 people here. I really don't give a damn, but let's say I didn't like it. I got a choice. I can say, man, it's only 12 people here. Oh girl, don't even be talking about nothing. She on her butt, she be on there half naked, so they going in her live and they hanging there. She don't even know what happened. I can go in that direction. I can say, man, it's only 12 people in here. Shit, I'd rather have 20. I'd rather have 20, because if it was 20 people in here, that's 20 people tapping the screen, that's 20 people sharing the live, that's 20 people asking questions, that's 20 people learning about this stuff that I talk. Oh man, if I had 20 people— if I go ahead and get under the influence of the 20 people that I want, it's going to change my delivery, it's going to change my energy, it's going to change the look in my face, it's going to change my energetic signature. And guess what? It's going position me to attract the 20 people. The number gonna start growing up, and the number gonna start going up because I'm going in the direction of what I want. What you got to understand is you are a leader. You are a leader, okay? And because you are a leader, you got to go first. Because you are a leader, you got to go first. You don't, you don't wait on the bank account. You go first. You don't wait on the people to show up to the live. You go first. You don't wait on the customers. You go first. You know why my why my calendar is booming with people? You know why I look at my calendar and I go, oh man, we got a busy week because I don't wait for people to pay me to start giving them value. I'm a leader. I go first. I'm gonna get. I'm gonna get on this live. I'm gonna give you on my email list. You're gonna get. I'm not gonna wait on you to pay me to start giving you value. I'm gonna start giving you value. Because that's what leaders do. But because I'm a leader, I'm gonna have followers. Goes, Jay, my following isn't going up. I've been doing this something. Where are you leading them to? They supposed to follow you in circles? Where are you leading them to? Give them the information. Give them— well, Jay, that's my process. That's how I make my money. How they gonna know you know what you talking about until you start lead? You gotta lead them for free before they'll pay you to lead them. You gotta go first. And look what's happening to that number as I lead. You gotta stop waiting. Lead the bank account. Lead the credit score. Lead the marriage. You gotta go first. You gotta stop waiting. You're not a waiter. You are a creator. You're not a waiter. You are a creator. God didn't send you here to wait. God sent you here to create. You're not a waiter. You are a creator. Say that to yourself. I am a creator. Okay, creator, it's time to stop being distracted and ask yourself, instead of getting busy and wrapping up and getting wrapped up in what you don't like, you guys ask yourself, what's gonna be my next creation? What am I going to create next? Since I could be, do, and have anything that I desire, since there is nothing I can't be, nothing I can't do, nothing I can't have, what am I going to create? And if you start asking yourself that question as you go through life, oh man, you're going to accidentally— listen to what I'm saying— you're going to accidentally accomplish some really cool things. You're going to accidentally roll your shoulders back, put your chest out, and put your chin up. You're gonna accidentally read some really good books. You're gonna accidentally listen to some really cool podcasts. You're gonna accidentally have some really cool conversations. You don't understand how many customers I've had that I've got just by being in the bookstore, being the hypnotist, being the founder of Identity 2.0. I might run into Barnes Noble. It's another store out here in Texas I like to go to called Half Price Books. I'll be in the psychology section and somebody say, hey, you're a hypnotist. I say, yeah, man, best at it. What do you do? Well, I'm a— I'm a— I work in— I network. I'm in sales. I sell a few different things. Man, how cool would it be if you could walk in any room with your shoulders back, your chest out, and your chin up? What's your biggest obstacle in your life right now? Man, Jay, honestly, man, I just feel like it's not enough hours in the day. Is it like, bro, it's like I blink and I didn't get to get to half of the things on my to-do list. You got, you got, you got 30 seconds. Do you mind if I? I'm leaving. I'm like a guy, the guy who sold me my last house. He oh man, he was he high. I filled out something on Zillow. He called me like ten minutes. I don't even know if it was ten minutes. He said, "Hey Jay, Eric just got your um your information off of Zillow. I'm in the neighborhood of this house. Meet me over here in the next twenty minutes or so, man." He just said, "Hey Jay, what are you doing today?" Yada yada. He said, "Meet me at this house in the next twenty. Can you meet me at this house in the next twenty minutes?" And I'm going, uh, yeah, let me put it in my GPS. Hey man, I'm 30 away. If you can give me 30, I can beat— man, I showed up at that house and Eric went to work. He said, Jay, this is not gonna be the house you buy. Let me show you why. You see this? This is a beautiful house, don't get me wrong. You see this crack going down this driveway? Not expensive now. Give it 5 years. Let's go look at it so we can get some ideas about the house you're gonna move in, but you're not buying this house. I say, shit, I guess I don't think— I guess I'm not buying. Eric never asked me for my bid. Eric just led me, and I'm buying a house. I'm in a state that I haven't been living in. I'm in a new place. I don't know what I'm— Eric, born and raised here. He know things about the soil. He know things about the school. You don't want your kids going to that school, Jay. Trust me. All right, Jay, here are a list of houses that that we can move in. Jay, beautiful house. I can see why you like. We not doing. He he went to work. He led, and I had no problem following because he was leading me somewhere. He knew what he was talking about, and he was he wasn't apologizing for leading me. He was leading me. And if any anytime I buy a house, guess who I'm calling? Eric. If I decide to sell the house, guess who I'm calling? Eric, you gotta stop a bit. You gotta stop apologizing for leading, especially in areas where God ordained you to lead. Why are you apologizing? Why are you shrinking in environments that God sent you here to stand in? Why are you playing small in rooms that God sent you to be big in? I'm gonna tell you why. Belief architecture, expectation patterns, attentional focus. You gotta like really start So if you're new here, you might have never heard of my 12 dimensions of identity. Years and years and years of playing in other people's brain, I started to see patterns. I started to realize that behavior is never the problem. Identity is always the problem. Behavior is never the problem. Identity is always the problem. Now, most of the time when people talk about identity, they talking about like this vague concept of how you feel about yourself. Not around these parts. Around here, when we talk about identity, we're talking about 12 very specific things. When we talk identity, we're talking 12 very specific things. Thing number one: What do you believe? Not what you and let me tell you how I feel about belief. I don't care what you believe when you believe in no purpose. I care what you believe when you believe in no accident. I don't care what you believe when you saying your affirmations. If you come around here at all, you know I hate affirmations. They they really piss me off. I care about what you believe on accident. I'm not gonna say affirmations piss me off the way that most people use affirmations. Piss me off. Most people treat affirmations— we just dropped a video on YouTube, y'all should check it out. Y'all should check it out. As a matter of fact, I'm gonna pull it up, we gonna watch it. Nah, I don't feel like— y'all go on YouTube and watch it. But I just dropped a video talking about people are using affirmations wrong. It's not that affirmations don't work, but if you're not using them in a way that allows them to work, the affirmation not the problem, you the problem. Most people treat affirmations like the gas pedal. Instead of the speedometer that it is. Affirmations are not the gas pedal. Affirmations are the speedometer. Most people look at somebody like Muhammad Ali and they think the affirmations made him fast. They think the affirmations made him confident. No, him being fast, him being confident gave birth to the affirmations. Let's say that you are a boxer and you feel slow. You look at other boxers and you go, man, how do they do that? How do they move that fast? I am so slow. You feel slow. If you sit down to come up with some affirmations to make you fast, you might say something like, I am a fast boxer. I am really, really fa— I am a fast boxer. I am getting faster and faster. You can go with some cornball shit like that. You know what you're not gonna sit down and say? I flow like a butterfly, sting like a bee. The hands can't touch what the eyes can't see. I'm fast. I'm lightning fast. I'm so fast last night I cut off the bed and I was in room. I was in the bed. I can't even talk. I'm so fast last night I cut off the light and I was in bed before the room was even dark. Only a man who feels fast Can come up with a phrase like that. Only a man who has been in the water working against the resistance of the water can come up with something. Only a man who has been jump roping and see and doing this thing called the Ali shuffle. Only a man who's already in the energy of fast could come up with that. So he didn't use the words to get into that state. He got into that state, and as a result of being in that state, those words came out of his mouth. The Bible say that the overflow of your heart will pour out of your mouth. So what you thinking is that you thinking that's what made— that's not what made him, but he felt so fast that he said something like, I flow like a butterfly, sting like a bee. The hands can't touch what the eyes can't see. Get in the state. Let me tell you how I use affirmations in my practice. Let me tell you how I use affirmations with my clients. I want to hear the affirmations you do on accident. I want to know what's the first thing that come to your mind when an opportunity shows up. Those are the affirmations that, and I use them not to send you somewhere. I use them as a speedometer. They tell me what's really going on. They tell me what you really believe. They tell me what you really expect. They tell me what you really paying attention to. And I don't want to change what's coming out of your mouth. I want to change what you believe. I want to change what you expect. I want to change what you pay attention to. Then one day I want you to be in a conversation and I want you to accidentally say something that you know for a fact you wouldn't have said a week ago. That was the end. I'm like, okay, now we working. I use affirmations like a speedometer. I don't ever want you doing them on purpose. I always want them. I always want them to be on accident. A few months ago, I was hanging out with my homeboy at a cigar lounge, and we were talking about business. We were talking about entrepreneurship in 2026 and just what it's like. And I said something to the effect of, man, you got to be an idiot not to make money in 2026. Chat GPT, TikTok, YouTube, Claude, all this AI. It's too easy. You got to be an idiot not to make money in 2026. And as that's coming out of my mouth, I'm saying, that's a, that's a, that's a dope-ass affirmation. That, that, that's what— like, that's not something I want to believe. That's something that, that's something that I believe. The things that I expect cause it to come out of my mouth. The things that I pay attention to cause it to come out of my mouth. My emotional baseline caused it to come out of my mouth. My inner voice and the way that I'm talking to myself, that's why that came out. It didn't come out of my mouth because I want to believe it. It came out of my mouth because I believe it. But you know why I believe it? All 12 of these dimensions. My beliefs are pointed in a direction that causes me to say things like that. My expectations are pointed in a direction that causes me to say things like that. So what people do is they want to look at the— they want to sit in the car and they decide, I want to go 60. And instead of believing they can go 60 and expecting to go 60 and paying attention to the speedometer, to the foot pedal so they can press it and go 60, and asking how would I feel— instead of doing that, they say that they sit in the car and go, 60, 60, 60, I'm so thankful and grateful. No, you're gonna just be sitting in your car looking like an idiot. You gotta start believing what people who go 60 believe. You gotta start expecting what people who go 60 expect. You gotta start paying attention to things that people who go 60 pay attention to. You gotta start sitting in the emotional state of people go 60. They go 60. And as you sit in this state, you're gonna look down and guess what the speedometer is going to say? 60. That's how I use affirmations. And another thing that I tell my clients is behavior is the strongest form of affirmation. I don't give a damn what's coming out of your mouth. Especially what's coming out of your mouth when you talking on purpose. No, but hey, if you wanna, if you wanna manifest, if you wanna affirm abundance, let me show you how the quickest way to affirm abundance. Instead of sitting here saying, I am wealthy, I am abundant, I am wealthy, I am abundant, I'm gonna pick up this phone, I'm gonna Apple Pay my little sister $10, say, hey sis, coffee on big bro this morning. Coffee on big bro this morning. My, my, what you understand is your subconscious mind is your feminine mind and your feminine mind is always watching. Your feminine mind is always watching, is always taking notes. Like it, let's use my marriage as an example. In my marriage, I would be the masculine, my wife would be the feminine. So I would be the conscious, the logic, the reason, the analysis, the willpower, the decision making. My wife is the subconscious. She's the feminine. She's the feeling and the emotion. Okay, let me tell you, look, I'm gonna paint a picture of how the feminine works. My wife pays attention to everything. Everything historically, I don't really like spicy food. I don't. I don't like hot stuff. Like, I'm trying to enjoy my food. I ain't trying to be able. If we go out to eat tonight and I order the hottest thing on the menu and I start pouring hot sauce all over my feminine mind, my wife, my subconscious mind is gonna say, "Um, when you started eating spicy, who got you moving different? Since when do you eat spicy stuff?" Now, if I'm at a table with my homeboys. I don't got very many, but I'm at the table with the one or two friends I do got, and I start putting hot sauce on my food. They not gonna notice. It's a masculine mind. It's the conscious. It's the logic. The reason that the logic gonna say, that's a grown-ass man. If you want to put— if you want hot sauce, give them the hot sauce. But my feminine mind not gonna— my feminine mind gonna say, when did you start putting hot sauce? She's gonna notice every little shift. If historically I come in from work and I Sit down for about two or three hours, and I take a shower later. But I come in right up, right out. As soon as I get out of the car, I go run to get in the shower. She gonna say, "We showering kind of early today, ain't we?" And to my conscious mind, like, "Dang, you clocking me." No, that's how the feminine mind works. The feminine mind monitors things. The feminine mind picks up on shifts. So when I've been being poor, when I've been being this person who hasn't had enough, and I pick up my phone. And I Apple Pay my little sister $10. My feminine mind gonna say, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, we got, we got money to give away? We must, we, we must, we must be abundant now. Keep watching, feminine mind. I'm gonna show you how abundant we are. When I sit down to pay the bills at the first of the month, I'm gonna put extra $10 on each bill. Now when I go look online and I go look at the thing, it say the TXU owe me $10. My subconscious mind, my feminine mind going, wait, The energy company owes us $10. Yeah, $10. Yeah, they owe us $10. We must, we, we must be abundant. There you go. You getting it? So I'm not going to affirm behavior. I'm gonna be the type of person that gives my subconscious mind no choice but to assume what I would affirm. Does that make sense? I'm not gonna sit here and say it, not on purpose anyway. By the time I say it, I want it to happen on accident, man. I'm, I'm gonna have to count. I'm gonna have to feed one of the transcripts to ChatGPT and let it count. I know I probably say accident 100 times every time I Go live. I don't want the new behavior happening on purpose. I want the new behavior happening on accident. You weren't using willpower to play small. You weren't using willpower to not have boundaries and let people play in your damn face. You weren't using willpower to not be consistent. You weren't using willpower to not stick to the goal. Why should you have to use willpower to do it? You weren't using willpower to have a limp handshake. Why should you have to use willpower to have a firm handshake? I don't want you using willpower because the thing about willpower is willpower is going to fail you. Willpower is finite. Willpower is based largely on how much sleep you got last night and how much protein you got in your body right now. Let's do a quick experiment. Put a 1 in the chat if you were up past 12 last night. Put a 2 in the chat if you haven't had any protein today. Watch this. Watch the chat. Watch the chat. It's, it's, it's been a— it's gonna show you why willpower is not the center of your self-development strategy, why willpower is not the center of your success strategy. You see that chat moving? You see those tools in the— fuck will— excuse me, but I said it now. Fuck willpower. Willpower is not going to get you where you want to be. You're talking to someone who has coached hundreds of high performers, athletes, entrepreneurs, executive— executives, actors, day traders, poker players. Successful people do not run off of willpower. Successful people do not run off of affirmation. Successful people do not run off of motivation. My people who come in here all the time, what do successful people run off of? What do successful people run off of? Let me give you a hint, okay? What do successful people run off of? Successful people run off of ideas. Identity. Identity. Okay, you gotta understand. There we go. Tyrone got it. I-D-entity. That's what they run off of. Kobe Bryant was not using willpower to go out of his— get out of his bed at 4 AM and go to the gym. Kobe Bryant was not doing affirmations to get out of his bed at 4 AM and go to the gym. You know how I know he wasn't using motivation? Because if he was, sometimes he would have, sometimes he wouldn't have. But the fact that he did it consistently, that lets me know that he was running off of identity. Well, coach, what's the difference in running off of identity and running off of willpower and motivation and affirmations? I'll tell you the difference. Okay. Running off of willpower is, man, okay, I got, I got to go to the gym. Running off of identity is staying in this bed feels like suffocating. If I stay in this bed, I'm letting my teammates down. If I stay in this bed, I'm letting my fans down. If I stay in this bed, I am other than the man that I see myself as being. I got to get out of this damn bed. You see the difference? It's not making myself get out of bed. The way that I talk to myself won't allow me to stay in this bed. The way that I feel about myself, the things that I believe are not gonna allow me to stay in this bed. The things that I expect are not gonna allow me to stay in this bed. The things that I pay attention to are not gonna allow me to stay in this bed. The way that I feel in my body, my emotional baseline will not let me stay in this bed. The conversations that I have in my fucking head will not let me stay in the bed. You saw I just said that on accident. I wasn't trying to say fuck. Well, I done said it now, but as the identity takes over, I'm gonna accidentally say things that the, that the old identity didn't say. I'm accidentally have a body language. I'm accidentally have an aura that the old me, then as I get under the identity, does that make sense? If my, my, my perspective and worldview, coach, how do you go live every day? How do you always have something to say when you go live? All 12 of those things are functioning in a way that gives me no choice. We, we, we are past the point where do I feel like going? Do I feel like me asking myself, do I feel like going? Like, it's the equivalent asking me, asking myself, do I feel like going to pick my son up? I'm not going to stop to ask myself, do I feel like picking him up? I'm gonna go pick my damn son up from school. Why? I identify as a good father. I identify as a hands-on father. I didn't have one, and I made a decision very young that I would be a hands-on I, my identity, I don't gotta try to do it. My identity doesn't give me a choice. Does that make sense? Willpower is not what we roll off over here. Identity, identity, identity, identity, identity, identity. Start working on your— I want you to start working on your identity on purpose, and I want you to start living life on accident. It's gonna change your life. I want you to start building your identity on purpose, and I want you to start living your life on accident. It's gonna change everything. You're gonna accidentally start saying yes to stuff that you used to say no to. You're gonna accidentally say no to stuff that you used to say yes to. You're gonna accidentally walk into environments that you've already been in, but you're gonna see things that you didn't see the last time that you were in that environment. There is nothing you can't be. There is nothing you can't do. There's nothing you can't have. Shout out to Lil. Thank you for getting your daily heart me. You too, Lisa and Lotta. I'm trying to read your name. I'm trying to figure out where to break it down. Latasia. I think it's Latasia. Thank you. And Rack, thank y'all for getting y'all daily heart meds. Anybody got any questions about anything we talked about so far? There's nothing you can't be. There's nothing you can't do. There's nothing you can't have, but you gotta build the identity first. You gotta build the identity first. When people come into my office, I never work on the problem. I build their identity. Somebody say, Jay, can you hypnotize me to quit smoking? My mind go, hell yeah. I'll build you the identity of a nonsmoker. Jay, I struggle with public speaking. Can you hypnotize me to not be nervous on stage? Yeah, I will build you the identity of a man or of a woman that's so busy adding value that they forget all about being nervous. What's going on, Jinx? Jay, can you hypnotize me to quit biting my nails? Yes, I will build you the identity. I will make you believe things that if you believed them, you couldn't believe them and put your nails in your mouth. I would get you to expect things that there's no way you expect these things and are still able to put your nails in I would get you paying attention to things, and it's impossible for you to pay attention to these things and still put your nails in your mouth. Do we see how the 12 dimensions control the behavior? The behavior doesn't show up out of thin air. Something's just happening within that identity, and then the behavior is showing up. Most people so distracted by the behavior that they completely ignore the identity. You didn't just wake up this morning and say, you know what I'm gonna do? I'm gonna procrastinate. Overthinkers tend to not have what we call a, um, A values hierarchy. Everything is of equal importance. And usually another pattern that we see in overthinkers is, um, there's this contradiction between what they know and what they feel. So it ain't even them overthinking, it's their brain and their heart going back and forth, and they don't have a— they don't have a values hierarchy. And they say things like that. I am overthinker. Think about it, Jinx. When I am angry, I don't— I'm gonna accidentally stomp my feet. When I am angry, I'm accidentally knock the shit off the table. When I am angry, I don't got to try to slam the door, I'ma slam the door. And as I slam the door, I'm gonna go, damn, I was not trying to slam the door. So it's a combination of I am overthinker, I don't have a values hierarchy, and my thoughts, my brain and my heart are moving in 2 different directions. But as we align all 12 of those dimensions It'll get really, you get really interesting. Well, you'll be surprised what we can do. You'll be surprised what we could do and how quickly we could do it. Very much so. Very much so. Very much so. And if you want, how many people here? I don't want to send too many people. Okay. If you want to, what you could do. Yeah, I've been feeding, um, I've been feeding our AI. For the past six months, I've been feeding them all types of. I fed them every YouTube video I ever made. I fed them like over a thousand hours of live streams. I put a lot of like my clinical case notes from over the years. I fed them over ten million words, and he almost as good as me. He's some serious. So I'm gonna show y'all where y'all could go. And borrow him. Y'all can't have him, but y'all could borrow him. He'll let y'all know what to do. Let me give me a second. I want to do this. I could do it here. Scene where I want to go. Show scenes window. Let's go here. All right. So if you really want to talk through like that overthinking thing, I'm gonna tell you where to go. Gonna go here, okay? Anybody who wants to go here, press that little orange box down there on the left, and I'll send you the the link. TikTok don't like for me to give them to y'all out loud, but if you inbox me, I will send it to you. You're gonna go on here and you're going to click Start My Free Identity Scan. All right, you're gonna put your name, email, phone number in here. You're gonna unlock your free scan. All right, this gonna come up and you're gonna press star to call. Now it's voice and you're gonna talk to AI Jay. You're gonna talk to AI Jay and he's gonna help you pull back the layers of that, uh, of that overthinking identity and point you in the right direction. And when you're ready, he'll hand you off to me. All right. But that's all you got to do. All right, give me back my other screen. Anybody who wants it, send me a— send me an inbox and I'll give you the link. People on YouTube, hold on, I can just give y'all the link. YouTube not as sensitive as TikTok. YouTube not nearly as sensitive as TikTok. What's going on, Niche? How you doing? Welcome to the live. Welcome to the live. Welcome to the live. You're you're overthinker. You don't gotta be. We gotta get you a values hierarchy. Then I would need to look at your unique your unique identity. Like guys, I take this identity stuff so serious. I take this identity stuff so serious. What's going on, audio? Let's go back on this screen. Let me show you something. Like when we start to look at identity. The identity that I'm about to show you guys, this guy came in and he was talking about, he was saying, Jay, I'm just so lazy. I just lay in the bed all day. I do things that I know don't serve me. And no matter how hard I try, like I've bought journals, I've done planners, I've been in therapy, I've tried different medications. I'm just so lazy. As I started looking at his identity, this is what an identity diagnostic looks like. Like when you get in a meeting with me and we look at your identity diagnostic. What I found out is I was looking at his identity, not the problem that he was describing, but his identity. The engine runs but nothing is pulling on it. Nope, it's not depression. And a lot of people call it depression, then you start wearing the label. It can be, but in this case it's not. You know how I know? Because it's 2 weeks later and he's thriving. But the engine runs but nothing is pulling on it. Okay, so as we started to look, I'm always looking at what I call a core contradiction when I first start to look at Identity. So what I found out is his somatic identity is at 83%. He's in his body. He he's in his body, and his behavior response is at 77%. I don't think so. No, I'm in a room, a fairly large room, and I ain't got no like soundproofing up, so it might be a little echo. What's up, hypnotic dog? How you been? But on his behavior response, it's at 77%. Well, yeah, you an audio guy, so you gonna hear things. It's like me in conversations like this. I'm gonna see things up. So the fact that it ain't perfect to you, I I'll probably never get it to your standard. But uh, yeah, I'm not an audio guy, so I'm pretty sure it worked for me. Like I see things identity-wise. I'm like, yeah, it ain't necessarily broken, but since we here, why not fix it? Since we here, why not fix it? Give me a second, I didn't knock some shit over. I done knocked it over. Now if it's bothering you to the point where you just can't stand it, man, and you want to come like upgrade it for free I'll let you. I'll 100% let you. Happy Saturday. What's going on, Blood Type? All right, so back to this. As I was looking at this guy's identity, he came in saying he's lazy and how he just stays in the bed. He only get out of bed if he got somewhere to be, and when he— when he's done, he's right back in the bed. But as I'm looking at his somatic identity and his behavior responses, the behavior response isn't perfect. The behavior response isn't perfect, but it's um it's not lazy. It's 77%. That's not lazy. Okay. So and then I start to look at his uh I start to look at what this gap his temporal orientation is at 23%, and his inner voice is at 40%. So temporal orientation is how you exist in time, and at 23%, you either got a screwed up story about the past. And it's not serving you, or you don't feel connected to the future version of yourself. There's no bridge between this version of you and the version of you you desire to be. So his problem is temporal orientation, and his inner voice is at 40%. So the way that he talks to himself just isn't healthy. But it's not lazy. It's a I talk to myself like crap problem, and I don't feel connected to the future version of myself. That's a very different problem than lazy. And if you're trying to solve the problem of lazy, And you've been struggling with this problem for a while and you, you, your parents are calling you lazy and the person you're dating are going, you're late. You start to believe I'm lazy, but you're not lazy. What's going on is you got a temporal orientation problem and an inner voice problem. You got a temporal orientation problem and an inner voice problem. So what happened is we actually started fixing the problem. Okay? So behaviors at 77%, it's not the problem. Nothing is pulling on it. What's your goal? What excite? What are you getting out the bed for? Well, Jay, I just shouldn't be in the bed all day. Shouldn't is not going to get you out of the bed. What are we getting out of the bed for? Are we getting out of the bed to work out? Are we getting out of the bed to make seventy thousand dollars a year? What's our reason for getting out of the bed? Let's give this thematic identity and this behavior response something to pull on. My work wasn't motivating him. He wants to do things. Is that like living a life as a zombie, like going through the motions of life? Um, that wasn't this guy's problem. So his problems was he was, he was pretty young, and in high school he killed it. Good grades, football team, he killed it. Okay, but for the first time in his life, he's having to set his own goals. There's nobody saying, hey, test on Friday, be ready. Football game on Friday, hey, practice at 3. For the first time in his life, he's having to sit down and say, what do I want? And his inner voice is at 40%. Can you see how that'll be a problem? As long as other people, as long as his parents, his teachers, administrators, as long as other people in his life were setting the goals, he was accomplishing every last one of them. But when it was time for him to use his own inner voice and his own temporal orientation for the first time in his life, now he's struggling. And depending on who he go to, you know, they will throw the label of depression on him. That's not depression. That's, uh, inner voice that hasn't been, been worked out. That's temporal orientation that never had to get used. So as we started to look at it, I built him a unique session strategy for him and he's thriving. Now we look at his temporal orientation. I broke that down. Your temporal orientation is at 23%. This is what that means when it's at 23%. Your inner voice is at 40%. This is what that looks like at 40%. And now he's saying, oh wait, so I'm not lazy. Yeah, you're right. I do talk to myself like shit. Emotional baseline at 43%. Oh shit, I'm not lazy. My emotional— oh, okay, my emotion. You right. Okay, I'm not lazy. My expectation patterns are at 43. Yeah, you getting it now. So by the end, by the time we get through going to this identity diagnostic, he like, okay, hold on, wait, wait, wait. So we've already shed the identity of lazy. That right there is gonna work wonders in his life. Just, just getting rid of the identity of lazy. Imagine being called lazy over and over again from the time you're 12 years old to about the time you're 20. You know, that's going— it starts to hypnotize you. They're not as good as Coach Jay, but they hypnotize you. Attentional focus at 53%, relational self at 57%, identity resilience at 60%, values hierarchy at 63%. Then we get down here to the solid stuff. Your behavior response is solid. You're not lazy. Your perspective and worldview is 80%. You're not lazy. Your somatic identity is 83%. You're not lazy. Now we're gonna actually work on the problem, and you're gonna see what happens. Then we looked at his handwriting. The handwriting reinforced a lot of what we saw. Lower zones barely developed. That's like when we talk about lower zones, we're talking about the lowercase g and the lowercase y, those little stems that go down there. Q reaches down there. Lower zone barely develops. That's showing— that's why you stand in the bed. Don't worry, we'll draw it out of you. Um, somatic identity was reinforced in his writing. Everything— goals that he did have or talk about there in the present tense. And, um, near vertical slant, that's that inner voice at 40%. Very analytical thinker, closed letters. So it's the harshness of how he talks to himself is showing up in his handwriting. So look at our session plan. You'll notice that I did not touch his behavior because it's not broken. Session 1, attentional architecture. I'm gonna fix his attentional architecture. Session 2, we fixed the emotional floor. We got him feeling better. This is where I'm at with him right now. He's already had big jumps in his identity score, and we still got another 5 sessions to go. He already out of the bed because we fixed his attentional architecture and his emotional floor. Next week, we're gonna work on his belief architecture. Then week after that, we're gonna work on his inner voice. After that, I'm gonna have him retake the identity assessment. Then we're gonna work on his temporal bridge, then his expectation architecture. By the time we get to temporal bridge, he wouldn't be able to stay in the bed if he wanted to. You would have to chain him down to get him to stay in the bed. But it's not a willpower problem. No, you're not depressed. You could be, but before we say you depressed, let's look at those 12 dimensions. Let's, let's see Was let's see, let's see, let's see, let's see. Let's see what's act. Let's see what those twelve dimensions are telling us. That's why I'm so gunho on Coach J. Can we can we hop on a call? Now without an identity diagnostic, we can't. Coach J, I just want to pick your brain for what you mean by Coach J. Can I pick your brain? Is Coach J. Can I get on there and tell you about this problem that I've been studying? This problem that I have mastered. And what you got to understand is your problem is that you know that you're best friends with the problem and strangers. With the solution. Coach Jay has zero interest in getting in on a call with you and talking about your problem. I don't want to talk about your problem. Your desire to talk about your problem is your problem. You got to understand that every problem has a solution. Every problem has a solution. If it didn't have a solution, it wouldn't be a problem. It would just be. But the fact that it's a problem means that it has to have an equal opposite called a solution. That identity diagnostic, it shows me that solution, and that's all Coach Jay wants to talk about. I don't want to talk about your I don't want— I have zero desire to talk about you. I don't want to. No, I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not. I don't want to talk about your problem. What's your solution? Let's build the solution. Anybody interested in building the solution, click that orange box down there and I'll send you the link so you can go take the identity diagnostic and we can start building your solution. Solution, solution, solution. That's all I want to do is build solutions. That's all I want to do is build solutions. I'm not a racist. Starve the problem, feed the solution. Starve the problem, feed the solution. Because Jay, I love the problem. Everybody in my family has this problem. This is okay. Well, enjoy it. Keep keep having the problem. I'm not gonna steal the problem from. I'm not gonna fight the problem out of your hand. But if you tired of the problem, let's get rid of it. Now, if you like the problem and you comfortable with the problem, keep it. It's your problem. Keep it. But I imagine you not, especially if you in this live. You listening to this type of content, you read— you're not reading all those books for no reason. You're not doing all those affirmations for no reason and making all them vision boards and all that other stuff for no reason. You want to get rid of the problem. I'm telling you how to get rid of it. Let's figure out what's going on in the identity. Let's figure out if it's the belief architecture that's screwing you up. Is it the expectation patterns that's screwing you up? Is it the attentional focus that's screwing you up? Is it the emotional baseline that's screwing you up? Is this an inner voice problem? Is it a perspective and worldview problem? Is it a values hierarchy problem? Is it behavior responses? Is it somatic identity? Is it temporal orientation? What's going on here? Is it relational self? Is it identity resilience? What's really going on here? Is it a combination of them working against you, or some tugging in this way and some tugging in that direction? We got to figure out what's really going on. How do you deal with misaligned expectations? Well, all that's going to fall into expectation patterns. And the way we're going to deal with it is we're going to— first off, we're going to get a values hierarchy and we're going to figure out what do you want and in what order do you want it. And if you are having a problem with expectations, it's a pretty good chance that your attentional focus might be screwed up. I would need to see the identity diagnostic because identity is so unique, man. These 12 things can go in so many different directions. So, and that's one of the things that I really have to discipline myself to do. Every time I look at an identity diagnostic, I have to do my best to look at it with fresh eyes, because if I walk in with a story on my— of my own, I'm bound to miss something. But it would depend on what else was going on with the misaligned expectations. I will look at the handwriting. So I want to see what the confidence looks like. I want to see all the letters angular or curvy. How much space are they putting in? Temporal orientation. When we look at temporal orientation, we're just talking about How do you exist in time? How do you exist in time? What's your story of the past? What's your expectations of the future? Can you feel a bridge between this version of you and the version of you you desire to be? Temporal is all time. Anybody got any questions? I got a session in a little bit. I'm gonna have to jump off here soon. Gonna have to jump off here soon. What's going on, Wendell? How you doing, man?
