I tell my athletes all the time, you don't get a trophy and then become a champion. You become a champion and then get the trophy. If you waiting on the trophy to become the champion, you ain't never gonna get the trophy because the trophy gonna go to the people who decided they were champions, the people who've been practicing like champions, the people who've been eating like champions, the people who've been thinking like champions during the regular season. You can't wait till the playoffs to become a champion. You're not never gonna make it to the playoffs. The fuckers in the playoffs was the ones who've been champions since day one. They was lacing their shoes up like champions. They were working out like champions. Like they were being disciplined during the regular season like champions. You can't get to the playoffs and turn on— turn into a superhero. No, you got to spend the whole season as a superhero. It's the same way in your life. You can't wait on the money to become a millionaire. If you waiting on the money to become a millionaire, you're not never gonna get the money.
