Depression feeds on thought loops you can't bulldoze away. Instead, slowly rewrite the story: replace "Nobody likes me" with what's actually true. Meanwhile, give your body what it needs: deeper breathing, sunlight, protein, real sleep. Celebrate moving from hopelessness to frustration as a win.

This is a great question, and I'm glad that you asked it because I know a lot of other people had this same question. So let's get to it one thought at a time. You're not going to break this loop by bulldozing it. You gotta slowly rewrite it. Nobody likes me becomes me and my husband's family don't get along right now. I'll never find love becomes my last 3 relationships were rough, but they taught me Exactly what I want. Your nervous system is responding to your narrative. You got to remember that. And while you're rewriting this story, you got to actually give your body the tools that it needs to bleed. Breathe deeper so you can slow down that stress signal, come out of fight or flight. Open up that body language. You got to uncurl yourself sitting like you're waiting to be attacked. Drink water, eat protein, get sunlight, get real sleep. And another key is give yourself permission to feel better. A lot of people keep themselves stuck for so long because they're aiming to feel perfect. Your aim right now is to feel better and better and better. Give yourself permission to work up that emotional scale. Anger is is better than guilt. Frustration is better than hopeless, and every step up. Is a win. Change your narration, change your state, and the loop loses its grip over time. Understand that three affirmations is not gonna make everything okay. This is gonna take time. This is gonna take patience. This is gonna take grace. This is gonna take you remembering who the fuck you are before the limitations, before the story, before the narrative, before the failure, and slowly but quickly allowing that person to. Take back over your body language, take back over your breathing, and take back over your life.
